Lzl Regala I was going to say Wes is the only one not wearing white, Ashley is the only girl, Phil doesn’t need glasses, and Chris is the only one who has something in common
I'm never really sure who edits the videos until I see the description but as soon as I saw the "not sponsored by target or ikea" disclaimers I knew it was Benson right away lol
Just wanted to say, I REALLY appreciated Benson's editing on this Lunch Break (I mean, Chris and Benson's editing is always great on all the lunch breaks!). But ESPECIALLY on point this week! You went the extra mile with the movie posters Benson's and I got a really good laugh outta reading them! Keep up the great work as always Wong Fu!
Excellent topic! Loved the natural flow of conversation...especially how Wes challenged Phil re: scarry movies and Phil's counter challenge re: arachnids. What a riot!
love you guys/gals, nice video. I love the fact that both phil and wes are willing to even get over their fears for someone else. Keep up the great videos
Loving this lunch break topic! I do not want to the movies on the first date. I would much rather go bowling, rock climbing, hiking, to an arcade, to a coffee/tea/boba shop or somewhere we can talk, connect and have fun. First date is all about getting to know one another rather than sitting in front of a screen and not conversing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVEEEE films and can binge watch all day every day, but...not on the first date :) OHHH and FRIES on the first date would be aweeesomeee! Hahahah so romantic xD also, in my opinion, anniversaries are far more important than Valentines Day.
5:59 Phil turning around to clear his throat reminded me of a scene in the flash (season 4 I think) when Barry was drunk and slightly turned around, joe asked him what he did and Barry said he just grabbed some peanuts from the bar, Cisco was like “you didn’t even move” and Barry was like “or did I?” 😂😂 I don’t know why but yeah it reminded me because everyone else was talking and Phil was just like so randomly turning around for a sec lol
I actually really love supermarket dates haha it gives you insights into the other person's daily life/interests/likes etc and also it just feels really chill and natural HAHA
I feel too that everyday should be special with your significant other. But Valentine's Day gives you an excuse to go on a date or do something special. Not saying that people should only do it on that day or boycot it just cuz everyone else is doing it on that day. Just like Halloween is an excuse to dress up. You can do it on other days and there are parties where people have to dress up in costumes but why not do it when there's a day to do it and its normal to do so.
here in Indonesia, it's midnight! fortunately, I havent shutted down my laptop, and suddenly got notification that Lunck Break is out alreadyyyy wohooo
I had the best first dates doing outdoor activities. One of them included a spontaneous scenic picnic on a tree stump, followed by a bike ride. The other was a hike and then a stroll on the beach.
I also think it's interesting to think about first dates in online dating, just because that's usually the first time you actually meet the person--which, in that case, you'd (typically..?) want to have something low-key so that you can talk and get to know each other. My recent first dates have all consisted of going to a café or some sort of restaurant and just talking for a while 😂 That being said...the best first date I had was actually with someone I had already met, and he had taken me to dinner before doing this interactive thing involving snowballs to earn points and determine the next portion of the date. We just talked the whole time and ate and had a blast. Like you guys mentioned, the most important aspect is having fun and clicking with the person--you could end up doing anything with them and still have fun (: That's an ideal first date for me.
honestly im a big nerd for a first date i'd actually love just geeking out watching anime, playing video games or just chillin' and talking. or if we're at chapters even spending time infront of the manga shelf and seeing what the other hasn't read yet..... yeah...
Had a date with a guy where we just met at a mall cuz we needed a central location to meet and it was a disaster. The guy hated small talk and of course as most typical guys they dont like to shop. We ended up still dating but were only together for 6 months. My first date with my hubby was at a restaurant and I felt it was awkward but I dunno some how it just worked out. And now we are married since last year. This year in a couple months would be 4 years since we started dating.
I'm going to sound so unromantic and negative but Valentine's was never a big deal for me. LOL! Sorry! 😂 I have nothing against it nor the people who celebrate it. I guess I was never really the type. I just think love doesn't need a special day to express it.
master jackoff Hi! 😀 I'm sorry if my comment offends you. 😀 I didn't mean for it to come off that way. It's not that I'm not a romantic. Chocolates, flowers and valentine's day just come in a different form for me. I hope you have a lovely Valentine's day!
Baffee Dorion it's just another day for me. I guess flower and gift shops hate people like me too. Last time I gave a girl something for Valentine's day was hand picked stink weeds from a nearby field. Screw spending money
Agreed, I think birthdays and anniversaries are more important than Valentine's day which is mainly a commercial holiday and isn't that special to any relationship in particular imo
Hey, I'm actually eating lunch while watching this. Usually I'm eating dinner or breakfast, sometimes not even eating. Oh noooo, I wanted this to continue. It was so funny, lol! Great topic like always :)
9:19 "Oh yea, any girl can persuade me to do anything."-Phil xD Phil sounds so desperate. I love Ashley's and Wes' reaction and Phil said that xD I personally don't care too much about first dates as long as it's not awkward
My first date ever from start to finish: Went to a scenic park with a lake. Strolled and talked. Did a cheesy pick up line to hold her hand. Later, she linked arms. Went to a cute dessert/cupcake store. Sat and talked. Found out neither of us were fans of sweets lol. Got lunch at the mall food court and talked. Went ice skating. Held hands while skating, but her legs got tired after 15 minutes so we ended up just sitting inside ice rink and talking. Drank from the same orange juice bottle (gasp). Went back to the mall (it was a minute distance from the ice rink) and ate pizza for dinner. She said it felt so short, even though we were together from noon till 8. Gave her a hug and said goodbye. Never had a second date due to circumstances.... It was a lot of work planning everything (it was stressful), but it was worth it. I do think it was way too much for a first date, now that I think about it. It's a good thing it worked out, though.
This was fantastic. I haven't been on many first dates, but doing something interactive like mini golf and then having dinner after was a really good one for me
I think one of the major things that people miss most of the time is when you're on a first date, don't go into too much detail about your life...Keep it short, give very little detail that way you keep the other person curious and interested and they want to know more about you and it keeps them asking for a second date possibly but that's only of course like Phil said if there's any chemistry. All these dating videos remind me of the wise words my mom told me a long time ago:
"NO DATING UNTIL YOU'RE MARRIED"
Lol seriously? At least your mom isn't forcing you to get married xD I'd love to stay single but I don't mind being in a relationship either
My parents tell me and my friends that we can't date until we are 30 or married.
"I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would..." -- Wes, 2017
Jess Kidding hahaha thanks
"I need to pee." - Wes, 2016
Chachie Abara best quote ever hahaha
Who else is furious at Wes' shirt? ARE YOU COLD OR WARM???
Karen Karebear Neither, he's fashionable

Mary Licel Regala He only wears gray Lol
Mary Licel Regala I was informed and decided to rebel
"Rebellions are built on hope."
Lzl Regala I was going to say Wes is the only one not wearing white, Ashley is the only girl, Phil doesn’t need glasses, and Chris is the only one who has something in common
Dang. I need someone like Wes in my life who dates me in Target or Ikea. 😂 I'd love it. haha.

I'm never really sure who edits the videos until I see the description but as soon as I saw the "not sponsored by target or ikea" disclaimers I knew it was Benson right away lol
you can also tell its me because i always forget the social media handles at the beginning of the videos. OOPS!
juicebox Same!!! I guess this means we have spent too much time watching Wong fu stuff haha.
I actually have a first date today...wish me luck
Good Luck!
you got this.
if it doesn't work out well, then you at least have dozens of Wong Fu videos as a coping mechanism.
thanks guys. I'm feeling confident. 🖒🖒🖒🖒

Wish lunch breaks were longer T.T 😁😁

Excellent topic! Loved the natural flow of conversation...especially how Wes challenged Phil re: scarry movies and Phil's counter challenge re: arachnids. What a riot!
Singles get together for a nice dinner to celebrate the anti-VDay. :)

Yaaaaasssss xD
Aogintsu Yessss!!! Definitely special!!!
My parents are taking me out on Valentine's Day, feel like a third wheel 😣
flirt with the waiter. haha
you should totally ask if its okay to bring a "guy friend" along
@KevinLor Just don't give the guy the wrong idea. Or bring a gay single friend along.
Sounds like a good idea I might try it 👍🏻
Try being a third wheel to your brother when they were dating all the way after they're married.
love you guys/gals, nice video. I love the fact that both phil and wes are willing to even get over their fears for someone else. Keep up the great videos
i counted how many times phil said "like" 209 times
OMG I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLY TO ANYTHING IN MY LIFE
I WANNA HEAR MORE OF WHAT CHRIS HAS TO SAY ABOUT ALL THESE THINGS!!! I LOVE SEEING WEST AND CHRIS TOGETHER IN A LUNCH BREAK!!!
Loving this lunch break topic! I do not want to the movies on the first date. I would much rather go bowling, rock climbing, hiking, to an arcade, to a coffee/tea/boba shop or somewhere we can talk, connect and have fun. I am in science class watching Wong Fu right now! Somebody help me!
"Pretentious" is the word you're looking for, Phil.
I love lunch break so much I have been waiting all day 😂
Please never change the beginning slogan.. that literally the only thing left of Ted 😭
I'm pretty sure Ted works behind the scenes..
He works for the online shopping business for wong fu (something like that). He lives in a different state now so.
I liked the editing here!
(This comment is not sponsored by Benson.)
Haha I love how Wes is the only one wearing gray, while everyone else at the table is wearing white.😂 "Wes...did you not get the invite?!"😅😅😂😂
I always thought Ashley and Wes would get together
All the lil Wong Fu skit scenes in here lol (I especially love the one where Wes is holding Cathy's head...)
and the stutters! 😆
Costco date. Eat all the food samples for free. Modern day millennial romance.
Ashley got such a great kick out of Phil and Wes stuttering. XD
YEAH, I did 😂
omg wow, you replied! Somehow it feels a little surreal 😂😂
How I'm going to approach a guy I like from now on: "I would, I would, I would, I would, I would....".
Emily Lee it would would would work
5:59 Phil turning around to clear his throat reminded me of a scene in the flash (season 4 I think) when Barry was drunk and slightly turned around, joe asked him what he did and Barry said he just grabbed some peanuts from the bar, Cisco was like “you didn’t even move” and Barry was like “or did I?” 😂😂

Going to Ikea to meet my soulmate
He'll be next to a KALLAX, I guarantee it. Or maybe the SVARTALS
Why is everyone's hair on this channel always so nice?
Taking a break from studying at midnight and.... WONGFU!!!!!
I actually really love supermarket dates haha it gives you insights into the other person's daily life/interests/likes etc and also it just feels really chill and natural HAHA

spectacular
WFW where we take phil to see a scary movie and wes to an arachnid farm :))
Great date ideas (you can use with friends + family too!): ice-skating, laser tag, arcade, amusement park/fair
i love the across the office scoff from Taylor at the "any girl could persuade me to anything" comment
Wes, you didn't get the white colour memo!
Wes that was so adorable 😂😂😂😂😂
Ideal first date - anything that includes the dude putting down his phone and talking and engaging!!
#NoValentineSquad

Wes: "Just do something!"
Me: "Smart man."
February 23rd is special to me Phil. it's my birthday.
Wes and Phil, I'm proud of you for being willing to try something you're scared of on a date :')
I've always found the second date is the "real" first date because you're not as nervous and way more open to talking about things comfortably
Omg, bad idea to watch wongfu's lunch break in the middle of the night. Gosh, your lunch boxes look super yummy!
honestly im a big nerd for a first date i'd actually love just geeking out watching anime, playing video games or just chillin' and talking. or if we're at chapters even spending time infront of the manga shelf and seeing what the other hasn't read yet.....

I've neither been this early ... nor have I ever been eating lunch at the same time as I watch a Lunch Break :')
Busy working... sees Wong Fu video... "Sorry Work, it's Wong Fu time!" 😂 (Thankfully I work from home 😜)
I'm going to sound so unromantic and negative but Valentine's was never a big deal for me. LOL! Sorry! 😂 I have nothing against it nor the people who celebrate it. I guess I was never really the type. I just think love doesn't need a special day to express it.

xD I hate flowers but the thought behind receiving flower from a lover is sweet. I really prefer to do something that money cannot buy for Valentines

"oh my gosh you're THAT guy" LOL..always liked WongFu's content..keep up the good work guys :)
"Let's all wear white and not tell Wes" squad
9:19 "Oh yea, any girl can persuade me to do anything."-Phil xD Phil sounds so desperate. I love Ashley's and Wes' reaction and Phil said that xD I personally don't care too much about first dates as long as it's not awkward
Hmm how come on most lunch breaks about relationships, there is always Ashley and Phil? They have the most knowledge to share!

wes needs to stop being so adorable. my heart cannot take it.
Wes and his Target dates and fear of spiders... beautiful
Best first date is when you both can't stop talking, the conversation never ends!
HAHAHAH OMG THE DISCLAIMER ON TARGET AND IKEA.!!
Overall, this was a very great lunch break. :D
This was fantastic. I haven't been on many first dates, but doing something interactive like mini golf and then having dinner after was a really good one for me
Phil made a good point that valentine day make dates less special. Thanks Phil.
can you add the name of the places you guys get food at?
THANK YOU PHIL COSTCO HOTDOGS ARE LIEF!!!!!!!!
Flustered Wes should be a meme! Haha jk but I love spiders! I used to make them fight in my backyard with my friends 😂
ohgawd

Wes, Chris and Benson got girlfriends, not sure about rest of them.
Jenn has a bf
wes has a girlfriend??? noooooooo.... 😱😭
this episodes an ab work out! got so many good laughs out of this!
chris has mastered using chopsticks
Haven't had a date in over 2 years. At this rate I'd jump into a pool of spiders or watch a 24 hour scary movie marathon.
i love how talkative wes was in this one
Love that u guys go back to old vids (ie. your worst fear vid) lol. Phil and Wes are hilar
I find that when people I talk to (not necessarily a date) but when I first meet someone new, sometimes they give away too much of their life story at the very first meeting and i find i lose interest in that person because the mystery is gone...they revealed their life story in the first half an hour so i think that's also important as well but that might just be a personal thing too
there needs to be a part two!!! bring the whole gang on the next one!
"I should design more movie posters" - Benson
casual dates are best, you don't want to invest too much in someone you don't know(you can walk out if it is terrible) and you want to see their more relaxed personality first. If you take them to fancy dinner they will act formal and you don't get any information about how they will be as your date. You will also scare them away and put way too much stress on the date which will stress out your date and make conversation stiff. Too many traps to run into if you go on fancy dates. casual dates are way more flexible and low risk.
My ideal first date is having one
My first was not what I expected but it was great. My first date and I took a tour around the State Capitol in Madison, WI. We talked and try to get to know each other and shared our preferences. I was a bit shy, so I hesitated to respond back sometimes. We had dinner at one of the restaurants on State Street. After that, we both went to a Lake near by and watched the sunset and talked some more. That was my ideal date, although we did have our moment of silence, it was okay because we were enjoying the sunset view. I had a great time getting to know him and I was very happy when he texted me after our date, "Thank you for such a lovely evening. I hope you had a great time like I did." It truly made me fall in love.
Why is there a link to the bonus video that showed Phil's personality type in the description?
Ash: "it's not that you're a bad person"
*unintentionally looking to Phil*
*dang it.. Laughs awkwardly*
#23February
Wes talked so much in this episode! I love it omg
Best date would be on swings and picnics. Thanks for the great video. Really love Lunch Break!
Wez is hilarious.....i would lmao
Someones GIF/Picture edits are on point!
