Dubai used to have the best deals in the world, now it's so expensive! I'm sad you didn't get to Skydive! But what I love most about your travels and videos is that you show the authentic side to cities and the culture and not always the rich and luxurious part. As a viewer it makes it so interesting and nice to see that! You're awesome and i felt like i went on the trip with you. love from the UK :) xx
I used to travel by myself all over the place for work. I'm from Calgary Canada. Now I live vicariously through you. Your videos are so fun to watch Lindsay. Hope your are having fun making them. Sending you lots of love from Calgary :)
Thank you for taking us along. It couldn't have been easy to film there. I'm sure you got a lot of weird looks. You are so brave...you give me inspiration!!
Awesome! That's totally what I found in Turkey as well- all the really cool little shops are off the beaten path. And the best prices too! Thanks for sharing your adventures :D
Wow. What an adventure. Love watching this. Dubai is one place I know I will probably never visit (never say never?) so it's really nice to see everything through your eyes.
im enjoying watching your trip to dubai, when i go abroad the language barrier freaks me out so it fun to watch you laughing and joking with the locals lol!! x
We thanked them in Arabic because we were in an ARABIC SPEAKING COUNTRY. Also, in regards to your previous comment, I never said it was an ARABIC EXPERIENCE. I said it was an AUTHENTIC experience. Meaning, it was great because most of the restaurants we encountered were Westernized. I spent a year doing research for this trip. If I hadn't, it would have turned out very differently. No need to get so angry. "geeeez!" :)
Loved this video! Dubai is such a great place to get authentic, one-of-a-kind gifts. I know you guys only bought those rugs because the shopkeeper kind of forced you into it, but how cool will it be to have them in your house to remember the stories of your travels! =)
I used to travel around the world for my work and I always tried to do what you suggested, go to places that the locals went to, talk to the people and eat their food. I saw too many Americans who would be in Taipei eating at a Burger King.
So good to see fresh stuff from you. Looking forward to watching more. One suggestion, and I apologize if you've put it in other videos, but when you "thank" in Arabic or speak the language of where you're at it would be nice to see or read it on the screen as well. Maybe put it in the pop-up character speech bubble you have now. I tried captioning but that turns into a surreal reading experience ("ninety-five first camel it") so something from you and all your studies would be great.
That apartment looks so nice! Did you end up finding any new shoes? When I traveled to S. Korea it was a lot of walking and I wore my crocs (the cute ballet flat ones, not the ugly ones). They worked out well, especially in the rain.
I'll admit i usally dont watch your videos and the .... title is what got me curious but you actually make what would usally be boring very intresting Thank you for the ... video.
When my dad goes home to Iran to visit family I always have him bring back saffron, you can't get the good kind in the states, and its super expensive! When he was talking about the different kinds he wasn't just trying to sell it!
And also we use saffron in our every day meals that way its better to be some how cheap .. I always bring alot of safffon with me to the US because like the box u buy will last probably for 2 or 3 months max. And i use it bellow the avrage usage or arabs lol
Please tell me that you guys are still here ! Would love to host you to some typical arabic desert adventures ! Atleast will pay back phill for being so awesome
That market reminds me of this open air market in Jamaica I went to years ago. Very pushy people saying, "Come into my store mon! You buy tee shirt now!" I hate when people are pushy:(
I love these videos! I'd love to visit places like Dubai, but I think I'd definitely be uncomfortable in a place where few people spoke my language. Hopefully one day I'll get to explore the world like you do though (maybe with a native guide lol)!
Not gonna lie, I was really skeptical when I first saw the video. In fact, I watched it to see what Dubai would look like from a tourist's perspective; I was surprised to see that you actually delved into the cracks of the city that allows it to breathe! :D and I'm so glad you guys weren't ripped off at stores (common to target westerners and increase prices) 4 FOR YOU QURL. COME TO ABU DHABI SOMETIME!
Dubai is known to have a lot of foreign workers, especially from India and Pakistan. If you watch any documentary on the construction of the Burj Dubai, you can see the workers are all Indian and Pakistani.
My daughter's boyfriend's parents are working in Dubai. They invited my daughter for a visit but said she was not allowed to visit unaccompanied. She either had to be married or a male family member had to escort her. Did you have any issues? Thanks.
as an arabic man that speaks english pretty good !!! i must tell you what was written in arabic on the ''natural Viagra'' sign at 05:13 coz it made my day hahah it said '' pills to cure diabetes. a mix make diabetes less effective and power up the immune system'' oh god i laughed so hard when i read it
haha..well its funny. Did you get to experience the night life in Dubai? And I dont mean the arabian one, I mean like the night clubs n stuff or no? Saffron is like super famous in Dubai, it comes from Iran and everytime I go to Dubai, my mother keeps asking me to buy it..
The resturant u ate at is not emaratis resturant , its an indian resturant and these types of resturants are very popular in all gulf countries we LOVe indian food u can tell lol :p
Linz you silly! you're not suppose to drink soda and spicy food, it makes it worse. The best thing to drink would be milk, but I don't know how easy it would be to find it there so your best bet is probably just water.

Yeah it looks like you ladies ordered Vindaloo, which happens to be one of my favorite Indian dishes, that was definitely and Indian Restaurant
Great video! How long are you there for?
And also we use saffron in our every day meals that way its better to be some how cheap .. I always bring alot of safffon with me to the US because like the box u buy will last probably for 2 or 3 months max. And i use it bellow the avrage usage or arabs lol

Hey linz thanks for another great video. How did u get on getting the safron back into the states? Fid you declare it at customs?
@LinzLoves omg thanks for including the "clothing policy sign" !! a lot of foreigners ignore it ! it is really disrespectful of them
love that place u stayed in , is it a flat or hotel room ! could you please say its name ..
with many thanks

What I was trying to say is that it was better than all the American restaurants we were surrounded by in the other part of the city.
I am so jealous about that saffron, that much would have cost about £100 in the UK, probably more!!
Woah Lindsay you replied to my comment!! That just made my day :)
awesome video (: i live in the UAE and its amazing here!
What was mostly used for the video? Between the 3 cams
aww i wish you would show us some clips form Dubai mall :( i want to see you walking around places i've actually been to lolol
Was it lamb in the dish? The picture on the sign looked like a lamb.

Did you get kicked out of the mall in the beginning too? I'm confused
Ive been to everyshop youve been to
I realize you had a very scary ending but overall did you feel safe there?
Dubai is known to have a lot of foreign workers, especially from India and Pakistan.
If you watch any documentary on the construction of the Burj Dubai, you can see the workers are all Indian and Pakistani.
take me next time!
Was this a fairly cheap trip?
more videos of that to come, no worries :) and yes, Dubai is like a westernized city but on steroids!
What are you going to do with that much saffron ?
My daughter's boyfriend's parents are working in Dubai. They invited my daughter for a visit but said she was not allowed to visit unaccompanied. She either had to be married or a male family member had to escort her. Did you have any issues? Thanks.
Come to Abu Dhabi!
I've heard of saffron rice.. But is that all it is, a cooking spice?
How much were the rugs?
Can you give us the address of the restaurant at 08 min.
It look like delicious. with a very good price.

The best Zafferon is from Iran and its pretty expensive
Linz you silly! you're not suppose to drink soda and spicy food, it makes it worse. The best thing to drink would be milk, but I don't know how easy it would be to find it there so your best bet is probably just water.
