I am so happy you finally watched The Hitcher! I love it, and for all the reasons you liked it. Rutger Howell plays a great psycho and the looming dread throughout the movie makes it even better. I have the Second Sight big box release and its worth every penny, but can see why you'd go the standard US 4k for the price. I have seen the original The Boy but want to get it on 4k and revisit. I remember having some issues with it at the time, but think I need to revisit to give it another chance, then Ill make a decision on the 2nd one. Great video!
I really disliked The Boy II, where some don't like the first (which I genuinely do), this one for me was frustrating and tedious. Pointless sequel that wasn't necessary imo. Love, LOVE The Hitcher; it's in my top ten horror films so I was very quick to grab the Second Sight box set of it, adore the duality between Ryder (Hauer) and Jim (Howell), the cinematography is gorgeous and it understands what to show and what not to. I actually think it's a rather nuanced take on what evil is and how Ryder is trying to push Jim to lose that bead of innocence he still has. The Night of the Hunter is impeccable 👌

You mean Rutger Hauer plays a great psycho right? Howell was the innocent one in the story.
