Hi thanks for watching - filmed this a few years ago now, and I now have a better setup with some purpose built & waterproof bags! But yes that would have been an issue with those rucksacks! All the best - Adam
just found this channel because of the bags, this is great. love to do the coast to coast. got myself a bike just before christmas and love it, 34 here so cant call it midlife yet lol just subbed
Ha ha, Hi Lenny Welcome along! Cannot recommend the C2C enough - amazing experience - but I concede, we were so lucky with the weather! As for the midlife thing... Lucky you!! 😜 Thanks for the sub, all the best 👍
I was just watching your videos as preparation for a bike tour to france and I just wanted to say that i loved your personal style of videos. (Sorry for the grammer mistakes not native speaker)
Wow! What a big compliment. That is very kind of you, and your words are very much appreciated. Thank you so much! And I wish you all the best with your bike tour of France, good luck and I hope you have an amazing time 😀
some backpacks / sacks let you disconnect the straps, OR you COULD cannibalize them and modify them with a clip to snap them back on easily after tucking them away for panniering.
Nice man caught your Galloway video a while back. Seen this in my feed cant agree enough about CX bikes. Norcos are nice I got myself a Cube nu road pro at the start of the summer and i'm hooked. I bike pack/wild camp by bike all the time. I did a 4 day tour of Galloway in August and im doing a small localish one tomorrow for one night
Nice one! Thanks for commenting! Sounds excellent! Yeh I did a one nighter just the other night actually - Just gonna start editing a quick vid on it soon! First time using a Tarp, instead of a tent! Still actually haven't combined the camping & the wildcamping yet - But I will. Enjoy ya trip and all the best 👍
@@justgetoutthereguy Nice one I will check out the video once its up i look forward to that. Tarps are the best. I always use a hammock and tarp set up. Blackburn makes something called an outpost cargo cage. So i run one on each side of front fork, hammock on one side and tarp on the other, really helps spread the load and as they are bulkier lighter items they are perfect for the fork even on carbon fork.
@@ricky7396 I will look that up. Havent got the hammock yet - but guess it's next on the list.... There is always something! Have you got any vids of your trips out? I took a look but couldn't see anything...?
Hi I also intend doing c2c this year I also have rigged my c/x bike out with a front and back pannier set up, I was just a tad concerned with the extra weight on the bike have you had any issues? Cheers Neil
Hi Neil, gotta be honest, there are those out there who cringe about 'extra weight' - tbh, i carry so much stuff, when I went to Anglesey Bikepacking, it looked like I was on a round the world trip 🤣 But to me as long as you are not on time trails, and you are just out to enjoy the outdoors - the weight did not restrict me at all!! But there are some serious climbs on the c2c, so maybe bare that in mind when packing!! So don't worry too much! ATB Adam 👍
Video starts at 6:08, your welcome
Dig the madness. Greetings from Santa Barbara California
Hey greetings back to California 😜 Thanks for watching - Adam
very nice VDO, thanks
Thank you - appreciated 👍
This is a fantastic setup , my only concern is the weather, if they are not waterproof ,are you going to make a waterproof cover for them.
