Perfect timing this Joff, our 25m orange cable melted itself just after we got into France in December. We've been coping with 10m in Europe (not very well!) Will definitely be ordering one of these when we get back 😁💜x
Hi Jof hope your well. I’ve taken your advice and bought a 10m & 18m cable from the company in Scotland and love the quality. I’ve got a couple questions. The patch lead is that a 1m from the Scottish company? And was snazzy reel from a UK company ? as the link is to a company in Germany? Finally the Y connector would that reduce the Amps on a French site by 50% ? Ie half each or would you both still get say 6amps each Cheers Shaun.
Great Shaun, that reel was from Germany, if you ever get over they do all the good electrical reels etc, the Scottish company do not recommend reels, they are okay for just storing the cable The Y connector is great for that situation of only one outlet, we have never had many reasons to use it but odd occasions it can be handy. Hopefully covered your questions, the leads from Scotland are the best.☝🏼🚍👌🌴💯
@@MOHOTELADVENTURES Cheers that makes sense. I need to order a 25m one now as a mouse or rat chewed brought my orange cable last week in Henley on Thames. Joys of Motorhoming ! 😤😉
Hey Jof firstly happy new year to you and Caroline 🎉 just watching your extension lead bit where did you get the cable real with the different output sockets? Xx
Hi please could you confirm which thickness would you recommend for a Motorhome and where did you get the reel it goes on like the one you have? Thanks
Check out the cables here www.industrialextensionleads.co.uk/electrical-hook-up-16amp-647-c.asp Reel www.amazon.de/-/en/Carbest-Camping-Thermal-Circuit-Breaker/dp/B06XFJZFZN
Checked out the link to the cable drum. It states that the cables cross section is 1.5mm. I was under the impression that 2.5mm minimum cross section is recommended for campsites. Quite like the cable reel idea for tidiness but wouldn’t want to compromise on safety.
Hi jof I tried the link to get one of these reels however amazon de won't deliver to UK so any ideas how I can get hold of one / apart from going to Germany lol cheers for any info
