Ditch the Sunday best cups take up too much space and if Portmeirion Pottery they are expensive but using valuable space. We bought a 2nd hand small Cosori airfryer for our van and it is brilliant and just as good as the Ninja at home at a fraction of the cost and was like new as they upgraded to a bigger one. We are going to add a small toaster to our kit although you can do it in the airfryer it’s not as efficient. Eagerly awaiting your new adventures they are going to be epic. I watch for your adventures not your vehicle as everyone evolves. Worse case if you don’t like it you can change it back in the future but I think you will be impressed with the added functionality, freedom and ease.

What’s the payload on new van Jof ? Guessing you’ll get nowhere near it , You inspired us to view some panel vans conversions yesterday but my other half couldn’t feel the love 😂 cold weather didn’t help I’m sure……..will be watching you closely in 2025.

Oh wow congratulations both what a gorgeous van conversion. Being able to park most places is a game changer. Every few months I go through our camper and hoof out anything not used. Not much have I missed. Having the outside in is just the best feeling. We have sliding doors on both sides of ours but predominantly use the drivers side. It’s great if you get back to the van in a car park and someone has parked too close to safely enter the cab without knocking the doors you can get in the sliding door instead. With ours we lack storage as it’s a pop top so we store ramps, awning etc on the floor whilst travelling and put our excess on the cab floor behind the seats as it’s huge. Ideal for paddle boards so they aren’t outside. You will be surprised how little you really need to take with you when space is a premium it also helps with weight and fuel economy. Looking forwards to your adventures 😍 All units have pros and cons it’s about what is most important to you and what you are prepared to compromise. The only compromise I see is a bit of storage way more pros.

We changed our Lyseo 590 for an Eliseo c644 and the narrower body has made a huge difference on narrow lanes in Cornwall and Devon, Scotland and Norway…. Much better performance and fuel economy too. Enjoy.

Moved from a 6 birth Auto Trail 7 years ago to a camper van go over Europe and can get to places you can only dream about in a motorhome travel for 6 months then back for 3 then off again you will notice motorhomes don’t put there hand up to you in a van lol

Our 6m Pilote fixed rear bed all black stands out from the norm has been wonderful she’s been to south of France few weeks after we brought her from Chelston and around Devon /Cornwall for 10 nights off grid over the Christmas period she’s so versatile you will end up using her more 😊

Congratulations and I hope you both have happy times together away in your new CamperVan. Will be interested to hear how you get on with the van sliding door opening on the opposite side to UK manufactured vans, when using UK roads and off-grid park-ups. All the best for the change - nice to stick to brand as it makes the changeover a bit easier.. ironically you have more horse power in that van compared to your Moho so you will find the driving much nicer ❤ new logo to design now 😂

Your excitement is infectious - congrats on the new van. We have a compact Carado moho, at 6.6 long and 2.15 wide and it’s so much easier to get around than had we gone for a bigger one. Interested to see if you will miss having the fixed beds though as that’s what would probably do our backs in at our age

With the fire blanket, there’s huge risk of you getting burnt hands and face if you don’t know how to use it properly. With that size extinguisher you have, it’s almost useless to be honest, that looks like maybe a 1kg powder, the smallest should be a 3kg powder, or 3ltr foam, yes not as easy to store, but stands a much better chance of saving your pride and joy. Knowing what can happen, I have a small extinguisher in the MH, but a full size one in the gas locker too, for the sake of £30 it’s worth a bit of piece of mind. Have some decent non nylon gloves with it too incase you need to try and open the bonnet or an external door

Good luck with the new van , we changed our Burstner Nexxo T720 last year for a Autosleeper Warwick XL & couldn’t be more happy with it , No worries going down narrow roads so much easier all round , went to CAMC site in January with the very cold nights & was very cosy .

So excited to share your new journey Jof ! We’ll be following you closely and intrigued to see how you get on. I’ve always thought your 690g is the sweet spot so we’ll have to see 👍
