I've seen so many cool places cleared out, fenced up, and forgotten. Nothing to replace what was taken away, no apparent need to have taken and restricted the place.
People want a place to be free. It's getting harder and harder to find somewhere that's any kind of free.

Hey Man peace to you..... I really support folks having a place to be that they take care of themselves and don't follow societies flow...... I am 44 and have always worked my ass off in the system, but have an open mind about life..... I would love to visit that free thinking place...... I guess I'm too scared to step away from the false comfort of the "normal" existence..... I haven't driven a vehicle in 4 yrs. though... I do have that wild bone in my body... I also spend alot of time with and talking with the free people around Kalispell, MT

I have NEVER seen a bigger waste of county resources in my life ! SIXTEEN county law enforcement vehicles out in the desert because of an entertainment issue ? Who is covering the area's that these deputies are SUPPOSED to be patrolling ?

In another video I watched they were talkin about selling Slab City. And I've dealt with government there are a hopeless mess. If they sell it more than likely they would make the owner or owners clean the whole place up. The government could even possibly run everybody off except the owners of the land. And then that's when the taxes hit, rules, zoning, permits, and regulations. And of course if you don't pay the government takes slab city back or somebody does. And in this economy with it just getting worse and worse in June 2nd 2018. If someone buys it now they are paying too much because the economy is only getting worse and prices keep falling especially in a piece of land like that. with no electricity water or sewer. And I watched documentaries on the government and how they trash land. Burying ammunition bombs Underground radioactive material and all kinds of bad. And why did the government leave Slab City? Maybe they buried some real bad stuff underground that's radioactive and toxic that's why they moved. Even in my area at army ammunition base by the river with a public primary school less than a mile down the street. The Army ammunition base is burning all kinds of bad things right by the river. I mean when you really think of all the bad leftover the Army has to do something with it. but burning it by the river where that river is used for drinking water. Or that river runs into another river that is used for drinking water is crazy because it's getting in the water source and definitely the air. This is nothing but bad the government knows it but they don't care they have to do something with their toxic trash. You would think with all the endless amount of money the government has they can haul this radioactive toxic harmful chemicals and burry them deep underground or burn it Underground. Or use incinerators out in nowhere instead of burning them in town. But we all know the government gets whatever they want and does whatever they want. that bunch is messed up and just doesn't care. And if you join the government you really see what it's like eventually you give up because you can't fix them there's no hope or help for them. Also they could turn Slab City into a FEMA camp which are popping up everywhere and put the homeless and people from Slab City in the FEMA camp.

That's me in the East Jesus shirt, we invited a couple of the bands over to East Jesus and rocked the night. We learned the cops were trying to sneak up on us and had everyone leave through the art yard. When the cops got there it was just family and the party was over. Keystone cops lol.

It turned out that we needed to have fire/emergency services sign off on a permit for the safety of the attendees. That was the problem.
It wasn't going to be woodstock get real! These cops are hired by the public to serve and protect the public. These people should have every right to have a little show in the middle of the desert thats not hurting anyone or infringing on anyones rights. IT'S HARASMENT PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!

Came across this video by misstake, never heard of this place. The people there seem to be happy with living there, they don't seem to be hurting anyone or causing a burden or financial drain on the area, just leave them alone. I would like to add that I've seen some of your slab city concerts and you've got some good music and I'm very impressed with all the talent that you've put into is and my point is if it is a lawless county thay should not tax you because its not fair to how the law is operating and taking away your rights and what your trusting in with your talent in music

If there's evidence that they prohibited them from procuring a legal permit, and then stopped them, that's not right. They tried to use the legal process and it failed, they should've elected the music as a First Amendment right of expression and then worked with law enforcement to say "well, keep police officers to present to maintain peace, if that's what you're afraid of", pay the festival permit and be done with it. The county obviously for some reason, worked against them. If I were there I would've told everyone to shut off the cameras and talked to the cops like human beings, people on camera react a certain way. And as they tried to hash out in the video, look for an area outside jurisdiction if it was a problem. Wish I could've been there to help.

I think they just don't want any trouble. Maybe there hasn't ben any trouble there and that's great. But from the looks of the crowd i'd say that most are experienced and have been around the block and been to their fair share of music concerts, get togethers and parties. I can only speak for myself but i have been to my share and I will be damned if someone doesn't end up getting stupid and causing trouble or someone doesnt get hurt. It usually happens and most of us have seen it.
