    Nice build. I built a shed with a similar design, the 2x6 floor joists from side to side were not sufficient enough when I stacked in 3 cords of maple about 8-9000 lbs. I reinforced the floor by doubling up the front and back frame plus added a 4 x4 under the middle on blocks to prevent extreme sagging.

      I wish we would have gone 2x8 or 2x10, as we have had some sagging of our base. Reinforced it now so its holding up just fine, but lesson learned for sure!

    I'm trying to build something like this in my backyard. Great video. Thanks for sharing. New follower here. Crow

      Good luck! So far it has been great, 1 thing I would have done differently was use minimum 2x8s for the floor joists vs 2x6s Had to put reinforcements underneath. Lesson learned for me!

    Really great build - probably would’ve left half an inch between floor boards for better air circulation but other than that a solid shed.

      Thank you so much! Only regret is we wish we made it a tad larger, but a fun build nonetheless!

    Well worked. Congrats! What size is it? 😊

      Thanks! It’s 8’x8’x8’ and I wish we made it slightly bigger because we can’t quite fit all the wood we need for winter. But it’s held up nicely the last few years!

      @@CypressSparrowHomestead Thank you. You could extend it a bit. Slightly bigger I will do it. Plan to use it at first as a shed for wood and after as a storage for tools and workbench. Looking forward to relax while doing it 😃

    How far away from your house is this firewood shed ???

    Looks like it’s gonna leak with all those gaps too

    • @CypressSparrowHomestead
      @CypressSparrowHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว

      Gaps were intentional to let wind pass through to help in the drying process but small enough to only allow minimal to no water from getting through!
