Looks good . Tbh some people will just never move out of the way . Happened to me until I yelled out a few times . The person kept looking behind and just didn’t want to budge !
Honestly, that would drive me nuts. I'm quite happy to wait behind others until it is clear to pass, usually it's going up hill, and more often than not, a pleasant word spoken works just as well. For me, the problem is more on the shared paths where walkers and joggers move with their earplugs in completely unaware of a "quiet" bike coming up quickly behind them.
Yes I was beginning to think that it might get a bit annoying and I agree on the trails a voice might be better. I do think turning it on well in advance on a descent can be good but turning it off before you get to the rider. Yes pedestrians are the worst kind of obstacle to get past.
Just bought one. Seems better than ringing it one at a time manually. Haven’t tried it yet. Thanks for giving a thorough assessment. Most people don’t have the headphones blasting, so should work in 95% of situations.
Got one of these for riding in bear country (BC Canada) as my wife worries about bear attacks! Good if you want that constant warning ring but annoying after a while.

Very true! Some people don't have a clue sometimes.

Agreed, it is pretty loud too!

Better than being eaten by a bear or slamming into the back of a hiker on actual mountain trails

@@jordansjournal3077 good luck, hope it works for you. I think I am going to try mine on the gravel bike.
Use one and the ringing doesn’t bother me. Great for shared trails and gives people plenty of warning that you are approaching.
Agreed, perfect for shared trails.
