i went to forest city and went on an elevator. we then went to floor "M" and there was a little room with a single door. i thought it lead to the parking lot but i couldnt see as the door was locked. before i got a chance to go back into the elevator, it closed and we were creeped out as it was dark too. keep in mind that the elevator was playing beethoven, and it still played even after the elevator closed, so we were so spooked out and we quickly left. that was such an experience
You used an elevator! in an abandoned complex? did you ever think who would come to your rescue if you got trapped in an elevator!
A mall with 1 place to eat 'mary brown' amazing
😂
That's a bidet in the toilet. Basically it's a Malaysian need, in every toilet as we wash after doing our business in the toilet then use the toilet roll (toilet towels) to dry ourselves for better hygiene😊. We face problems whenever we visit western countries for not having bidet in toilets 😅 and we got to standby water bottle before heading to toilet.
Great video! Keep it up 😀
Thank you bro!
Great video. I feel like visiting Forest City too.
You should!
Very detailed video keep up the good work
Glad you liked it! Make sure to follow all over future adventures
Thanks for this vid! Your fam is amazing!! Sucha big place I use to visit from Singapore ! They had a beautiful hotel w a gigantic outdoor jacuzzi I used to stay every time and play with the flyboard (at the beach) there too it was amazing. But it’s so sad to see what they’ve become :(
Thank you very much for watching our video. The place has such potential. Maybe it will come back to life
Ghost town is mostly empty under day light, if you want to see anybody, please come at mid night when an all night long party begin. 🥴
It seems that Forest City project has been empty for 2 years during the covid 19 pandemic.
But I still didn't miss the memories during the time I played in the Forest City waterpark with my cousins since last year and when I was 9 years old......
That waterpark looked like so much fun! Maybe one day people will get to enjoy it again
I think so....
I think there would have a renovation update soon....
The parent company in China almost bankrupt now… good luck for those bought these condos…
My condolences
It's crazy how many people give so many different information. We hope the best for the project but with all this confusion.... who knows? It was scary how empty it was
@@voyagesdiaryYour words let CHINA guys were unhappy😂
Sneak & playing around at night will be more entertained..
Great idea
Wow nice coverage..
Thanks a lot 😊
Thank you for visiting Forest City! Was it during weekdays or weekends? I feel like it should be packed during weekend esp for the water parks. Cool adventure though hahaha! Keep traveling in JB! Johorean here!
It was a Sunday. Glad you liked the video 😀
@@voyagesdiaryweekend here in Johor is Saturday. Sunday is the first day of work. Just so you know ✌🏽
@@voyagesdiary some state in malaysia weekend in saturday
Nice family, full of adventure. Please stay safe.
Thank you for the kind wishes!
This is a very nice video that gives an in depth view of the place. Do you home school your children?
Yes we do
The developer is a China based company.
Yes, the company is called Country Garden
The Country Garden is very beautiful
You forgot to mention the Johor royalty has a stake in this project.
Honestly find it strange how the electricity still runs in certain areas like the pools, digital display boards, escalators, beach is open but people can’t swim in the water’s because of crocs and the only Restaurant still functioning is Mary Brown and their bidet works? Amazing
yeah, it crazy
In the night time is damn creepy
Yeah, we would want to be there in the middle of the night
after watching this video i feel scare especially at night
Hopefully, you won't hear the music from 06:53 hehehe. Thanks for watching and commenting. Onto many future adventures. Makes sure to follow us 😀
06:53 the music in the video really frighten me
That was get goal of the song 😂
The city would be very futuristic there.

7:30 abandoned, but with the presentation still running?
That was the creepy part. That a lot of stuff is still "running" but for who??
There's nothing creepy about this place except your choice of music accompanying this video. Lol😂. Can't believe you used such creepy music to try to convince the audience. Lost count of how many times you used the word "creepy" in this video. Except that it is NOT an abandoned project.
Put your video on youtube and show the "reality" 😂😂😂. Until then we will have to belive our reality and the other 1000s of youtube video showing that it is a ghost town
Construction stopped, only maintained to minimum level, security and staff laid off, most residents have already left or are planning to leave, only about 2% of flats are occupied, hardly any business units occupied, Chinese tourists don't visit. Yeah it's functionally abandoned.
@@voyagesdiarytypical butthurt coloniser attitude
i just remember in 2019
was it worse back then?
Nice place.
Give the long term visas to the foreigners who bought the flats, open charted transportation to Singapore second link, this place will revive.
Or further, HSR station nearby, give a Casino lisence to Forest City, this place will become hot land, brings billions of dollars of tax for the government.
Its all political, like what Shenzhen developped.
That is what they were saying they would put, a singapore link
I'm also sure that it would started in the future times.
One can daydream of fantasy futures but it's not gonna happen. That's why its a ghost city now. And the prc who bought these condos have come to regret it.
My point of view. 2 reasons:
1. The malaysian gov previously did not want chinese nationals to buy those properties. Or was unfriendly to chinese investors
2. The beijing gov stopped developers from creating big property projects using huge amount of money.
but why even start something this large
@@voyagesdiary money makes money but crashed
@@keangwooichoo6138 Don't listen to him.. It was officiated by corrupt prime minister, then postponed by next prime minister since suspicous deals found that not benefitted malaysia.. all chinese belts & road projects are tricky, need to be smart
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next upcoming years. It's a huge project and it seems like they are still trying to sell units... But if people don't maintain the buildings who knows what could happen.
I think slowly some Singaporeans are finding hard to own houses on the island. Jb can be an alternative as we are building RTS and HSR connectivity.

It's the people that believe the project will come back to live
Probably fortunate for you that there were no drug addicts lingering around there.
true
Can turn into movie shooting location.
💯
When did you flim this?

@@voyagesdiary Thanks , omg , there was a video from a Hong Kong guy filmed on 22jun (the link is below) , he said a lot of people there , and 1 month later (10 Aug) , the forest city developer (Country Garden ) have several debt defaults . Thanks for the truth
th-cam.com/video/xah-3Mv5-14/w-d-xo.html
Glad we could help. And hope you liked the video 😀
I am sure some Chinese would doubt if you used some king of AI filters to remove all people from the video.
YES, we definitely used an AI filter to magicaly remove all the people hahaha 😂
Wow
Funny.
the empty place?? 😂
Mahathir is known for his "Apa pun tak boleh" attitude... 😑
We boycott the things is made from China 😂😂
Zombie apocalypse
Creepy empty place. But we did see new videos almost a year later showing more stuff opening but still maybe only 20% occupancy
better to ride a motorbike to explore lol
yeah you could see a lot more with a motorbike
I guess it's empty and deficient of human activities. But I don't think it's as creepy as the video made it out to be. Yes, certainly a failed project as of now. It was supposed to be bought by Chinese nationals and it didn't happen. Locals won't buy it as they are used to living on landed properties. Singaporeans won't buy it as it is devoid of commercial and retail development. They should set up a few medical centers, nursing homes and it may attract elderlies and retirees from Singapore.
It could be a great project! We still don't know why nobody wants to buy
Lots of misinformation among the comments. Why is the project put on hold?? Which government policy changes resulted in this?? Abandoned?? This project sits right across Singapore, where apartments like these cost a couple of million USD. The average Forest City apartment will cost only a fraction of that. The Johor Singapore Mass Rapid Transit will be ready in 2026. What is preventing Singaporeans and buyers from China from acquiring units here. These apartment are worth close to a billion if sold. Only idiots will believe it has been abandoned 😂. But as and when Forest City opens up for sale, bear in mind that the wacky Malaysian government have been known to make sudden policy changes and sometimes even with retrospective effect. My advice is not to touch Malaysian properties.
Now forest city are open no same like e pose to toutube more late, maybe time covid already finish ,now too many people go there and shopping, don't do rubbish show not true history and will a past, please go there again and show the truth
Truth was shown. 😀
Man this video was 11 days ago lol
SOME PEOPLE CANNOT ACCEPT REALITY 😅😅😅😅😅😅..... SO SAD
No secret it is overpriced for locals.
that is why you think it's empty?
The toilet is a completely CHINA style. 😂
hahaha
it all close because of covid and goverment policy, now we have new goverment. i believe near future will be lifely again.
Hope the best for such an expensive project
It's a lost cause to try revive this money sucking project.
Well like Religion they sell hope like here … but in time some action will come
GOOD LUCK 😅😅
