I've tried so many times to sing along with Beyonce's "Halo," but I just don't have the range or lung capacity for it. Still one of my favorite songs of her's.
To be fair she has amazing talent and spent her life singing and training for singing and improving. It sure aint easy!

No mention of Given Up or Crawling? The 17 second scream from Given Up has been Chester's most known scream in LP's early stuff and Crawling in the 2nd pre chorus in the "SO INSECUREEEEEEEEEE" line is enough to make you lose your breath when you try to do it

I think 90% of Mariah’s songs are really hard to sing specially to sing them like on the studio album.

It's The End Of The World As We Know It by R.E.M. was a pretty hard song to sing with the fast vocals,same with Even Flow by Pearl Jam.

in my option josh groban's song you raise me up isnt a hard song to sing but i sadly cant sing it anymore because it makes me cry because i sang that song with my one class and my grandfather heard it and now he's dead and everytime i hear that song,i cry because its the last mermory i have of my grandfather
“Since U Been Gone” has been made easier, thanks to the A Day To Remember cover. Brought it down a couple of keys, and it’s now attainable.

Halo? You mean Already Gone. You got the artist and the song title wrong.
Halo came first. But it was silly for Ryan Tedder to write two different songs with the same melody for two superstars at the point in his carrer where everyone wanted to work with him. On the other hand Kelly isn't blameless because Beyoncé relased Halo as a single NINE MONTHS previously.

Why is Halo placed so high on the list? I mean no disrespect, truly, but when I listen to it I just don't hear what's so difficult to sing. To me, songs like Bleeding Love or Since U Been Gone, or Spirit if you want to stay within her songs, seem much more difficult to perform. Is there any singer that would be willing to tell me what the pitfalls of this song are?

Some songs that are difficult to sing don't seem so until you sing them yourself. Take on Me by A-ha! and Untouched by The Veronica's are two such such songs.
Heck many Britney songs are difficult to sing because they're produced in a way to leave no breathing room.
could've just added one of linkin park's hard rock songs to this list. The screaming that is doe with a melodious tone is something i've only ever heard Chester Bennington being able to pull off. Others just scream, but he sing-screams.

Hell, this coach has even picked out my audition song for The Voice; “What I’ve Done”, with a Key Change written in it. She thinks that a vocal modulation will push me over the edge.

majority of this list are pop songs, so there is a automatic biased attitude towards anyone who is not a pop "royalty" when it was originally released. most pop songs have been written by a song writer and said song is then sold off to the pop artist who likes it, the producer who see's it as a very large monetary gain and the recording label profit margin that stands to gain from it's release.
so to classify it as a hard song to sing does not seem to right as it could of been sold to a dozen recording companies and it was their decision on which vocalist to sing it (profit inspired choice).
so the song get's arranged to suit who is going to sing it, so saying it's hard to sing is not because of the song, its because of the artist who sang it. Take the one by Beyonce', its not the song that was hard, it was her voice that makes it hard, you are trying to sing a song by a extremely gifted singer, unless you can sing with her musical range, power and tones , it will definitely sound horrible. If that same song was done by another artist, a vocalist you could actually sing along to (sounding very good to) would that song be still be considered hard ??
I personally don't think the pop songs are hard to sing since the airwaves are flooded with them. It is the musical genres that are not pop make the hardest songs to sing, since you are trying to emanate a musical style as well as the vocal line from that song. The Darkness is a perfect example, not only do you have a classic rock feel to it, you have to have the power, the range (high notes) as well as the feel of the song. I have listened to the studio version and live versions of "I believe in a thing called love", the only difference is how Justin Hawkins chooses to sing it live, make a high not a bit longer or shorter, add a high scream in a different part of the song and how he see's fit to perform it.
