  • In this video I show a cheap diopter I bought of ebay and an example of the improvement it will allow me to make to my painting. It was only £25 and as far as I can tell it is worth every penny.

    Veteran Forgeworld painter here, I've used one these for the past 15 years and they are invaluable if your eyesight is not as good as it used to be, thanks for the vid.

    I have one similar but can use it on my tilt desk! It’s too the magnifying glass is too heavy and gravity drops down slowly. How can I stop that from happening?

    I was planning to get a 2.25 power lamp to get a closer zoom in on the models HOWEVER I hear that I need to be within 4 inches of the lens which to me would be problematic with the paint brush hitting the lamp so I'm thinking 1.75 go give myself enough space when painting... what are your thoughts on this? Which should I go with? Is the space an issue?
    Thank you

    Great review.
    I’m keen to know how easy it is to paint under.
    I found that when I have tried to use a brush under a lens I loose perspective as to where the brush is exactly. Is this the case with a larger lens?

    • @walkingdad6978
      @walkingdad6978 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its easier believe it or not. I had the same issue with a smaller lens. Placing the heels of your hands together when under the lens helps to tell you where everything is....works for me 👍😁

    Nice review, it's good to see the face of the man that inspired me to start painting 40k again, I loved your Cerastus Knight Lancer so much I painted a dozen knights already in a similar style using your candy red Tamiya clear guide, I'm on Instagram as airbrush.cowboy if you want to check them out.
