- In this video, Caleb, George,and myself were sent to winch a trator trailer loaded with soy beans out a ditch. once arriving on scene , I felt we nneded to wait on heavier wrecker to winch the truck out. We used the 30 ton to help hold the trailer until the V100 arrived. Did someone forget about swinging wide when pulling out of that there driveway? Good job on the recovery, I take it that was diesel fuel that was spilled on the ground, was it from the sharp angle the truck was on or did the fuel tank get damaged? I agree. Mud flaps work great also. Its hard not to damage asphalt. Tires and mud flaps work good for both traction and preventing damage.@@glennjukes5581

you are correct about there not being many good places to hook on a hopper bottom. that was one heak of a steep ditch that had to be a real pucker moment for that driver when the trailer fell off in there.

Is that combination within the legal limits in your area? With 1000 bushels it would be 20 tonnes ( 22 tons) which be a full load with a tandem tractor and the trailer? What about the trailer tires? Thanks.
