If Duro turns out to be really good (personally I liked what I saw on Fearx), this GenG roster is so utterly stacked its insane. It's astonishing how immaculate Ruler is even 8 years into his career. And he fits what Chovy, Canyon, and Kiin want perfectly in an ADC. Peyz was a player that sometimes would struggle to perform and find a role in game states where GenG was behind (which they often were), but Ruler practically played all of 2023 on a team that excelled in showing up and winning 3rd/4th drake fights in a game state where they were behind. Peyz still is developing as a player so I wish him the best, but GENG have somehow built an even more stacked roster this offseason. Honestly, pure despair as an LPL fan. It looks like It's gonna be Bin Wei Knight Elk On for BLG (Xun to JDG likely), and the remaining world class players are split between 4-5 other teams. How do you win a title against 2025 HLE or 2025 GENG. Hell even T1 is still gonna be a challenge, Doran is definitively the 3rd best top laner in the LCK right now, T1 will have to change playstyles but they still have Faker and still have Keria who gives T1 so much firepower when he is in form.

This offseason is fire. Even tough I’m so sad about the Zeus situation the LCK rosters are all looking pretty fire like geng hle is so stacked, T1 still insane too, Dk is looking better even if beryl is only playing genshin its better than Moham/kellin. And don’t let me start with iG please give them a good botlane. But what the fuck is deokdam doing in KT Bdd singed for year but gets grieved again
Deokdam was good in FPX last year. One of the best ADs in the LPL last year, just the rest of the team were plumbers. His ashe was legit up their with the best

Why would they risk upsetting Kiin? Moreover, they would not know for sure that Zeus wants to leave or not. Zeus is not really a big upgrade from Kiin.

In my opinion, ruler was the most overhyped player in worlds 2023. He had an uncharacteristic amount of misplays and was one of the main reasons why they lost to T1 fairly convincingly. If the video is correct and he hasn't been performing last year, this is a huge gamble. Peyz is a solid adc and locking in a 3-year deal with a player, who hasn't been playing at the level of your main competitors, sounds like a bad move overall. With recent performance and worlds 2023 in mind, I don't think ruler/duro will be competitive with either Viper/Delight or Guma/Keria.
I don't think it's that much of a gamble personally. Even if Tom Brady, for example, had a bad year I think most teams would be happy to pick him up. Also, it's not like Ruler was that bad. They still got 3rd in the regional finals, although they got beat by NIP in the summer finals.
I think if brady would have played another season with the buccs, got kicked out in Quarterfinals/missed playoffs and the Bills replaced Josh Allen with him, it would be nothing short of a gamble.
