Great video Thom. I love the Chet impressions as well. The last part about getting your own style while learning technique resonated. I have an instrumental song on my channel called This Is What I Do. It's basically me struggling to get better at fingerstyle guitar, Realizing I'll never sound just like my mentors, heroes so This Is What I Do. Of course it goes too fast as I'm new to video but they're getting better.
Don't know why I never stumbled across Tom's I'll See You in My Dreams tutorial, I'm reading he's gone, sad... really like his style and his easy going demeanor..
