I did my first ‘baby’ bungy 50 metres (164 feet) and thought it’s not big enough at age 74. So next I jumped the NEVIS bungy 134 metres (440 feet). Much better. Now I’ve done it 16 times. Yes, 16 times and counting. 80 next year and I want to jump 260 metres (853 feet) in China when I’m 82 or 82. I can do it!!! 🐳
I'm very happy for you and I'm glad you're living life to the fullest. Honestly I would love to do a Bungee jump. I've done a Slingshot / Reverse Bungee jump before and that was amazing so I can imagine how good it must feel. I'm 19 by the way.
@@ben119_edits7 hi Ben! Firstly I ‘trained’ by doing the Auckland Sky Jump 3 times (192 m) and loved it. So I thought I’d try a baby 40 m bungy next. But not big enough! So off to Queenstown NZ to jump the Nevis. Loved it once I jumped off. The flying through space feels awesome and then start to bounce 5 times, before they retract you back to the pod, the drop, before bounce, takes about 9 seconds. I’m always upside down as I can’t release the catch to turn upright. So I’m pulled into pod and two guys turn me right side up and I say ‘Again!!’ So I always jump twice. 3 times is 1 too many. I’m not scared of heights so that’s a benefit. Next year in China I’m booked to jump the highest in world 260 m and I cant wait to jump it. I don’t like to see the bottom and I can see the river at the NEVIS. But at 200m one can’t. I’ve started jumping backwards on the Sky Tower and it’s more of a buzz at take off, so my next Nevis will be backwards and in China as well. BWT, I’m 80 next March!! One needs to trust the crew and trust the equipment as if you don’t, don’t jump. But I do so jumping is easy and safe and I feel like Spiderman! Haha Cheers. 🐳
@Denice Hamid hey I saw a TH-cam video of you bungee jumping! You are so inspirational and I hope to do as many jumps as you! I’m 15 and haven’t done a jump yet but I’m gonna do one next week so I’m really excited. Its a smaller one so not too big but still. I hope to do the Macau Tower jump in china one day.
I'm booked for a skydive and a bungee jump next month. I've already done a skydive which can be seen on my channel. By the way if you're still not old enough to do a proper skydive you can try Indoor Skydiving. I did two Indoor Skydiving sessions before doing a proper skydive. Indoor Skydiving is great as you just walk into the wind chamber and then 'free-fall' and it feels just like the real free-fall but without any height!
Well done! I was way more hesitant on my jump! My instructor 'heloed' me out of the cage in the end! I've done skydiving and wingwalking as can be seen on my TH-cam channel but bungee jumping is the scariest thing I've ever done!
@@reds.a2076 Yes my 2nd skydive was straight out the door with no hesitation. My 2nd bungee was no easier than my first. I've spoken to many people who have done both and they all preferred skydiving over bungee! I've also seen a video of a couple at Nevis bungee New Zealand. They told the Bungee Master that they had also booked a skydive while in New Zealand and the Bungee Master said 'If you can do this then you can do the skydive. This is scarier than a skydive.' I agree! Bungee is even scarier than the wingwalks that I've done and I went upside-down on two out of three wingwalk flights!
@@georgejacob3162 Good to know! I've bungee jumped and definitely had to get over a big fear hurdle, now it's 3, 2, 1 and go :). I haven't had the chance to skydive yet. I very much want to go and am saving up for it. If it's less scary, fantastic, means I'm ready XD.
@@Olivia-W The other thing is that with skydiving if things do go wrong then there is altitude to sort things out. If something goes wrong during a bungee jump then there is no chance to sort anything out. Only luck. Speaking of skydiving if you are ooing to do a tandem skydive then the instructor will release a drogue chute immediately after leaving the plane. The Drogue chute acts as a stabiliser but its main purpose is to prevent the tandem from plunging towards the earth at a speed greater than 125 miles per hour. So no 200 miles per hour heroics! The main parachute is released at about 6,000ft to allow plenty of height if the main chute doesn't deploy properly. If the chute doesn't deploy properly then the Instructor will either sort out the line twists or cut away the main chute and then deploy the reserve. If the main chute isn't released then the reserve chute should automatically release at around 1,500ft. So there are all those safety procedures in place if needs be.
someone when I did it was the wildest thing. I did it in cusco Peru, highest bungee in south america. No it does not feel like a roller coaster. You have to do it to experience it.
Partly because they might fall off and get lost during the jump, but also because the force and movement during the jump can make them dig into the skin. There could also be a small risk that a ring that falls off a finger and enters the mouth.

If the bungie fails you have about A 20% chance of hitting the safety bag.
