Metalcore masterpiece.
Loving the post rock/metal part in Northlane's chorus.
Either this isn't metalcore or my definition of metalcore is old. When I was into metalcore it was bands like AILD and Parkway Drive. The formula is very different here. You could argue IHW is usually metalcore and even then I wouldn't love it, but Northlane? These two songs? Eh.
xJust2Deadly i dont think you can limit it like that. it's so much different then alot of metal out now. imo it's a lot like how tool branched off from the "current" metal at that time.
notstarboard Northlane falls under more of the Djent/Progressive Metalcore genres category.
yeah bands like Northlane, In Hearts Wake and Architects get labelled Metalcore even though they are Djent. it triggers me a little but that's probably because it's my favourite genre

Then there's the songs. My band mates just showed me this last night and I could literally feel the breath being taken from me. These three songs are just... I mean masterpieces right? Nothing short of it. And the fact that these guys sat down and said were to very well respected bands and we compliment each other, let's do this together. I mean I couldn't ask for more as a fan of these incredible bands. I'm still blown away.

Well when bands at this level play they have in ears and backing tracks so the songs will always be as long as the recording live which would have made it way easier amazing job though

Saw In Hearts Wake last night and Northlane 2 years ago as well as seeing them next month, wish they were touring together so I could hear this masterpiece altogether 😭 amazing bands live, amazing songs. Aussie's make some of the best music

Two amazing bands here!! Australia is producing some truly epic music, the last few bands artists I have listened to are from OZ, great music scene there too. Have to include Plini in this also, his musicality is something which I have not heard in a long time.
