@@x0rZ15tFor what it does and talking into consideration that needs such a significant amperage and, that by doing USB tethering with your smart phone you can also keep it permanently charged all you're saying is nothing else but crap!😮😅
I use this router too for travel. I went a step further and added a Firewalla Blue Plus to it when I travel which is even smaller than the Slate AC router. That way I can get alerts on my phone for my travel router’s network as to what sites each device is visiting. I can set up a ton of different rules. VPN setup is flawless and just extra security in general. Great video!
I’ve got my setup working fine at home, but when I’m traveling, the second one isn’t routing through my home Slate AXT1800 router. Instead, it’s showing the local network name, so it’s not connecting the way it should. I work in finance, so staying connected to my home router is really important-I try to avoid using random hotel or motel Wi-Fi. Could you help me figure out what’s going wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!
What do you use for Internet when you're on travel?
So far, my smartphone but this is cumbersome and drains battery quickly.

Can it be used as a stand alone router? If so, how
I use this exact router for all my travel and testing different hardware
It's a nice router. Next week I'll be using the old Slate 7 as the repeater and try to see how far I can go with it.

You need to set your ISP modem to bridge or IP pass-through. That way your home router cam receive the public IP address of the ISP modem.
do i need VPN while using AXT1800 router ?
nope
If you set up port forwarding can you see the physical location? If so what can I do stop turn off my location or hide it?
Yes - how do we go on about that?
I am having some configuration issue with the same problem.
I bought this router on presale and I gave my ar750s away and i just re bought the ar750s a week ago because of the size.
Do I need 2 of these to get it to work? 1 home with the antenae version (different name) and one of those? Thank you.
Were you able to get the answer?
Damn shameful that Beryl didn't make these travel routers MESHABLE!!!
Buy the way doesn't this Beryl router have the "captive portal" feature?!
Thanks for the review. Honestly, now seeing this device (also in comparison to your an old version) I think it's just too bulky for me.
Good job. Thank you.
