Oh, you made me cry too at the end! 😢 I don’t live in another country but I’m 1200 miles from my Mom and don’t get to see her often…and she’s 92! I am going to stay with her in a little over a week for 2 whole weeks and I’m looking forward to it. I know my time with her left on this earth is short. Moms are the best. ❤️ Loved your baby clothes, little girl clothes are so adorable! That stroller is AHmazing! Wow! Enjoy this time, she’ll be her before you know it! BTW, you’re a glowing, bellissima mom-to-be! 💕
The last words in the video are so true! I've lived in Ireland for 9 years, and every time it was harder to leave home when visiting. Eventually, we decided to move back to Rome to be closer to my family, but living abroad is so damn hard, it takes so much resilience! ❤❤
Definitely! it makes you see things from a different perspective and it opens your mind, I'd encourage everyone to spend some time abroad, though it's not for everyone! Keep up the good work you're doing 🥰@@sofiesworld
Sophie, so happy to see you enjoying special nesting time with your mom. NO ONE loves you like your mother- the time you have together is precious. Happy to see you happy. Oh, and can we even talk about how great you’re looking with your beautiful bump!
I live in Turin and totally feel you. It’s not so glamorous living abroad. The paperwork, the language, the general daily isolation that’s already hard enough in your own country - much less navigating a totally new one. But, alas, there is something beautiful about the challenge and the unknown. You’re never alone in this feeling. It’s a really wonderful rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, but so worth it in the end (and pets help obvs). All the best from Torino! 💕
I started to cry reading the end of your video. I have the opposite situation my family lives in Sicily I’m in California. It’s always so hard leaving everyone when I come back home. Congratulations on your pregnancy 💗 love your videos 😊
SO hard! I always say at least you have some place beautiful to visit to, but it doesn't hit the same when you can't just go and see them whenever you want. Thanks for the support🤍
I am Italian and I live abroad. I experience the same highs and lows. I do not have a good relationship with my mum, so distance is the right balance for me. But it is lovely to see the love you have for your mum. ❤
Such a wonderful visit. I teared up at the end. My mom moved to another state, it is easier for me to see her but I still get sad when I leave. Stepping out of your comfort zone is hard and I truly envy those that do it. You are an inspiration. Hugs to you and your sweet momma will be back before you know it.
You look AMAZING!!!! Happy to see your mom there with you and that you had a great time, you made me cried tho 🥲 I’m sure it was hard for her to leave also. Thank you for sharing both sides of leaving abroad or far from home and family, what you shared it’s just so true!! I send you a big, long and loving comforting hug 🤗 😘
I also live abroad, away from my mom and get emotional every time she leaves or I, so I can totally relate. I remember this also from one of your past videos, I think it is really sweet, beautiful and real! Thank you for the encouraging words at the end of the video! 💕💪🏻
Sofie, the end of this video really hit me, because it’s so true what you said about living between two worlds. The last two years I’ve been back and forward Mexico City- Tuscany; and next year, I’ll be settling for good in Tuscany and it’s a bittersweet feeling because I’m leaving my hometown, my family, especially my mommy to be with my twin flame in Italy. Send you a very warm hug.❤
Thank you for sharing more of this piece of your life, Sofie! The painful goodbyes make the hellos that much more sweet, but I can only imagine how hard it is to live this day-to-day. Your tribute at the end is so touching and highlights the raw emotions of it all! 💜🫂
Oh, everything you said and wrote at the end is so right. (I've only lived across the country from my mom, but similar feelings for sure.) And I don't know how it feels to be pregnant at the same time. But I empathize with your feelings. All I can think is that we're lucky to have those feelings when we separate from our moms. Imagine if we didn't. xo
Exactly! As hard as it is, I'm grateful to at least have this relationship in my life. Even across the country is hard, too! Thanks for your constant support, Jennifer xx
hey girl 🤍 i just wanted to tell you that you're not alone (you probably know that already :D) it is sooo hard for me to say goodbye to my mother every single time and it always hurts the same. the only time it's easier for me is when i know i'm going to see her just shortly after (which is rare). missing someone so much just makes you appreciate them even more and the other way around.. but the heartache ist just so terrible! i feel like a little child again every time
The heartache is terrible but time helps heal! And YES I feel like a little child every time too🥺 We are indeed not in this alone, thank you for the support and sending you positive vibes 💕
Ciao! So I returned to Italy(Sicily) five days ago after being in Costa Rica for a couple months. I'm VERY excited to be back! I'm just curious, what does Emilio do for work that he is traveling so frequently? I also lived in Firenze for about six months back in 2021/22. Loved it there! You mentioned the time change for Balloro(sp?) Did your mom bring him back with her from the States? Sadly I lost my cat Nero to a tragic accident only two weeks after moving to Florence and that really overshadowed my time there. But, I am now on my second 90 day period in Sicily as I try to navigate where I want to live long term when I hopefully get an Elective Residency Visa. Once I am settled I really look forward to getting another cat or even a dog!? Haha Congratulations on your pregnancy and I look forward to your future videos! Buona giornatta, Paul in Sicily Edit: I couldn't agree more with your statement at the end. But we endeavor to persevere to live our best lives. 🙂
Emilio is a travel guide and itinerary designer, so he's out a lot with clients and travelers leading their trips. We had a time change here for daylight savings time, so instead of it really being 7AM it fell back to 6AM which messed up the pets. Thanks for watching!
Women are supposed to gain when pregnant for the baby's health. What a weird comment and weirder it got a heart. This is no flex. What would Danae Mercer think?
It’s nice to see your mom again. It was sweet when Barolo jumped up on the couch and went to her. He knows who gave him that second breakfast. 😂🤩
I know, it's been a while! And Barolo loves his Nonna 😅🥰
Had the best time with you sweetie! Can’t wait for February!❤❤❤
Miss you already ❤

It really does! 9 years is a long time regardless, what an amazing experience nonetheless, makes your time with loved ones more special 🤍

Sofie it looks like she’s your best friend! I had that with my Mom! 💐Lovely, you two! February will be here in no time!
Thank you, Hannah🥺🙏💓
NOPE NOT TO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS!! I had it playing music, put the tree up and had the fire on the tv too hahahha
Haha ok I love this

Aw thank you so much for your kind words, and even out of state is still hard! It's just not the same to not be able to see them when you want 🤍
I cried right along with you😢

It will all be worth it in the end! You can always go back home.. it’s the “what ifs” that you can’t take back. In bocca al lupo 🫶🏽🥰

Hi do you want video editing for your youtube?
You look great and it looks like you haven't gained a gram with the pregnancy! 💪

Come minimo ti ritroverai Barolo dentro la carrozzina a dormire 😉
P.S.Tua mamma sembra tua sorella:-)
Haha infatti, ancora non ha nessun interesse nella carrozzina, ma vediamo! Grazie 💕
