Here’s a tip!!
Homegirl has been using press-ons since like 3rd grade lmao. I’ve learned to put glue on my nail, and on the press on. When you lay the nail down, so it slowly and with little pressure! The harder you squeeze down the more comes out of the sides and actually creates the air bubbles underneath. Also makes them feel tight which means they will pop off a lot sooner.

thank you for this! i watched a tutorial stating to press very firmly and i ended up getting air bubbles and glue coming out the sides anyway. my press on still looks pretty good but i was so disappointed!
ooh thanks girl! I've been getting into press-ons recently because I can do them way easier but haven't figured out why sometimes they last for a while and sometimes they don't. Pretty sure this is my issue, too much pressure!
Do you have a glue you prefer, or do you just use what's in the package?
You are so silly 🤣🤣 when I get glue on my hands I put a little acetone on a napkin and wipe the glue right off. Even when it's fully dried it wipes right off ❤️ love your channel. I actually started doing my own nails after I started watching your channel 😍😍😍 your my favorite TH-camr ❤️❤️❤️
No way. I’ve tried this with 100% acetone and it does not wipe off and if it’s wet the paper towel sticks to it
I use a q-tip with acetone to get glue off
Just ordered poly gel Friday to start doing mine myself because her, did my first acrylic set three days ago:)
Use acetone on a gel brush since it's very thin. Works like a charm 😀
I was legit coming to see if anyone had said this lol. I use 100% acetone for nail glue oopsies and it's brilliant 🤣

Someone has probably already mentioned this but in case they didn’t, the way to “save” your press ones is to use the glue tabs AND glue. It helps eliminate air bubble & allows you to remove them more easily. Also, use acetone to get glue off of your skin. Hope this helps. 💗

@@ayebellez Won’t peeling them on and off over again forcibly (nail glue is strong) hurt your nails. Or do you mean like school glue
@@haileygreenwood8269 yes. That’s why you don’t forcibly pull them off. You can soak them off in acetone. If you want to preserve the press on you have to soak your hands in warm soapy water with a couple drops of oil (if they’re not matte) for 10-15 mins at a time. Check of lifted spots and try to remove, if they hurt on won’t budge, soak some more then try again. If you use glue tabs with it they come off more easily. Then you can use acetone and/or lightly buff the nail to remove residual glue. If you wanna change the press ons every day or something. Just use glue tabs, just do a little prep beforehand so they’ll last a little longer.
The nude color matches your skin perfectly. I'm impressed since most are a lighter nude.

I started learning to do my nails when Evie’s channel caught my eye and I was so glad I did during quarantine. She’s so helpful with all of her tips. Now I decorate my own clear press-ons like a hobby. Shaping, color, nail art, bling. I just have a good time and I never have to worry about a quick manicure for a night out… I just dig thru my stash and pick a set. Thank you Evie, for starting me on the journey to a new hobby and teaching me how to make my nails look EXACTLY how I like them. Not how a nail tech likes them…
You can use the peel off base coat just a little on the centre of the nails and proceed with normal routine. I think this one is the best way to reuse your press on nails 🥰🥰✨✨
I’m glad you survived the air bubbles
What I've done before was put nail guards on my nails then glue the press-ons on the nail guards. They lasted almost two weeks and I was able to remove the press-ons without damaging them.
That is what I do and my nails look very healthy.
I only use brush on glue. I feel I have more control of the glue. I use ibd nail glue. It has a gel like consistency so it's not so runny
So many things I love about these videos. I'm not sold on the press on's yet, so these are very helpful. Yall are so much fun to watch as a family. And, I can't believe how big that sweet little girl has gotten! Hope all is well with you and your sweet family.
I struggle with opening nail glue as well, and I’ve been wearing press ons off and on for years. Thank you for showing I’m not the only one!
I saw someone put the sticky tabs then put glue on top so it’s not stuck to you natural nail
Those are cute! I soak mine in hot water and use cuticle pusher and I can get the glued on ones off and can reuse.

I soak my press on nails in dawn dish soap and oil (like an olive oil or vegetable oil) for 20 to 25 mins and it allows me to use an orange stick to push them off and im able to save them .

I've had good luck with the adhesive tabs staying on 4 or 5 days. You just prep your nails with some dehydrator and avoid soaking them in water, darn, no doing dishes for you!

I file glue off my hands using a cuticle bit with my e file 😅
My tips for long lasting press ons: nail primer on your natural nail and on the press on, base coat, thin layer of builder gel, nails will last a lil min. If you want to keep the press on use a peel off base coat. Basically do the gel-x system but use press ons.

You can absolutely use gel if you want them too really last or gel with a peel base if you want too re use. Because those are semi transparent. The light will be able to penetrate the fake nail.

I use press ons pretty much all the time now and it's definetely a time and effort saver more than anything else for me. I don't have to carefully build nails and then spend over an hour filing only to feel burnt out by the time it's gets to design them. With press ons I just pick a shape I like, a design I like if I'm lucky, and add whatever flair I want :) rn i have a set I put cuticles stones and little black butterlies. I already like the design just needed a lil bit, but sometimes i just use the design as an accent nail and paint/decorate the other.
Glad I’m not the only one that feels this way, it’s tiring and I just want to get to the fun painting and designing lol

I bought some press on nail remover from Walgreens this week! I just happened to see it misplaced so I snagged it up! it melts the glue and makes popping them off so much easier

Hey Evie! I recently saw KISS has a product called "Glue off" it's an instant false nail remover. The nails seem to pop off without damaging them. "It's my rayray" did an IG post on it! Would you do a review on it?? 😊💕

Just a tip put a thin layer on your nail and leave a little space above the cuticle, but another thin layer on the actual nail all over especially the sides to make sure you don’t get lifting. But it also won’t spill on the sides

There’s this tiktok where they glue the sticky part to the fake nail and the other sticky side on the natural nail and they say it last a while u should try that on the next press on vid!
If you use a peel off base coat on your nail before adding the glue, you can remove them without damaging your nail or the press on.

The sticky tabs do alright I've gotten about a week out of them before but I was SUPER careful even though they felt like they were stuck on pretty good. Nothing beats a lil acrylic though that's been a game changer for me 😌
