Definetely!!! I became vegan at 52 and sometimes it is really hard for me to fully grasp what I've done to the animals in my life. I used to be a big meat eater and this put so much guilt on my shoulders that I cannot easily carry it.
Here in Hungary we have frequent ads where dairy, eggs and red meat are put in a healthy light and they ad at the end we should support our local animal factory farms by buying them, with all this on top they banned to use of vegan alternative meats to be called "meat". But some vegan profucts just avoid it calling it vegan "notmeat" lol. Despite all this the vegan movement slowly but surely is rising.
We all should be ambassadors of veganism, lead by the example to influence others, in hopes they will follow and experience positivity and, in turn, influence others.

I'm only half an hour into this, but I'm loving this already. I love how he talks about the gentle introduction into a vegan diet and all it starts with a few simple swaps. I'm currently on this journey so it's reassuring to hear that it's about always about going cold-turkey but that it can be a gradual process. It reminds of when you ween a baby into eating solid foods. You wouldn't just go from a formula diet to a full course solid meal, you gradually introduce it to them. The same approach can be applied for transitioning to a more plant-based diet.

I became vegan in 2006, after watching Earthlings also. I was a vegetarian before. And had no clue of the truly satanic cruelty and torture that animals go through. Never will I support any industry that treats another sentient, living being like this. Due to this change, I look younger than what I really am. Like 12 or 15 years younger. Now I also have excessive physical energy. I run 6.5 miles a day, and still feel hyper afterwards. I also try to lift some weights. But not too much, as I don't want to look like a guy. A vegan diet will give you longevity, energy, the best, healthiest quality of life, and make you a better human. Animals deserve to be loved, spoiled, and protected. Not abused and tormented. Besides my faith in God, as a Christian Seventh-Day Adventist, becoming vegan is the best decision I've made in my life. If humanity could go vegan, Earth would be more like paradise.
Ed, you are such an intelligent, articulate & wonderfully passionate advocate for the animals & the Vegan movement. Thankyou ! I've been vegan for 20 years but have still learnt so much from your amazing book 🙏
You guys hit on so many ways I feel with changing to a plant based diet about 7 years ago. I’m glad I can have this info to have a better conversation with others. I have been harassed for my diet choice just about everyday.
Even as a vegan myself I never used to pay much attention to Ed Winters and thought he just perpetuated the stereotype of the overly sensitive soft spoken hippy type vegan. I now realize I was totally wrong about him. Ed Winters is an extremely intelligent man and a wonderful speaker and he does marvels for the vegan movement. I can't wait to get his book once its released!
I got into a vegan diet very slowly and in large part thanks to the content the vegan doctors put out. Years and years of watching vegan content and cooking vegan and vegetarian meals and noticing how I liked how it makes me feel. I was primed and ready to eat a vegan diet full time but never made the transition until I started dating an ethical vegan. While I enjoy not consuming animal products the ethics of veganism hasn’t fully sunk in with me. I’m in it for some combination of reasons and to be absolutely honest I feel like vegan ethics are second to my love of eating a whole plant based diet. I cheated on my diet in a moment of weakness, After Halloween I raided my kids candy and the guilt I felt was for how unhealthy the choice to eat that crap was. I wasn’t worried at all about the dairy cows who’s milk was in the chocolate. I don’t know if a strong belief in the ethics as represented in the definition of vegan are in my future or not. I still wear a leather jacket I’ve had since high school and wool socks my dad bought me recently. I’m still early on and have only been eating vegan for six months, lost 55 lbs by the way.
Congratulations ! Please do these four things. 1) Eat enough calories. 2) Eat the right amount of protein 3) Eat a variety of plants 3) Take vitamin B12 regularly Otherwise, you will end up like stupid vegans who ruin their health. You can do it.
Brilliant way of opening up conversations with others about any subject which could be taken the wrong way- correcting practice in the workplace, giving feedback etc..Ask questions and state "i can understand that.. But..."
I got started with Veganuary two years ago, its online support and recipes delivered to your inbox. It helped to have community support to start off (even though on and off vegetarian for a decade;) I became vegan for health, but a few weeks in I had a strong and solid feeling of being aligned with my true values. It feels amazing, and I love being vegan. So the health perspective is VERY important to include and respect every newbie vegan that starts off there. I also said to myself that I would eat eggs my next birthday😅 however, eggy tofu scrambles from rainbow plant life and chickpea omelette made eggs completely obsolete. In Norway, there are so much advertising from egg, dairy, meat and fish industries, and it is partly funded by the government and even sugary dairy products are deemed as «healthy».
If TH-cam let viewers endorse videos to promote them on the platform, videos like this; with imperative moral value at the forefront of our collective conversation, would reach so many people, so quickly.
Amazing podcast, absolutely loved this, thank you Nimai, you’re an amazing person, and it was so inspiring and informative listening to Ed and hearing more about his life!

This talk is everything!
I can't wait to get his book once its released!
these two are both so well spoken. Otherlevel
This, is a gem 💎
Awesome discussion!
2) Eat the right amount of protein
3) Eat a variety of plants
3) Take vitamin B12 regularly
Otherwise, you will end up like stupid vegans who ruin their health.
You can do it.
God will help
As someone who's a new Vegan; this conversation was so helpful
Thank you for sharing this!
Such a great interview. Thank you for sharing. Xoxo from Seattle.
Thank you so much. Applaud everyone who defends the truth about compassion. God bless!
Brilliant way of opening up conversations with others about any subject which could be taken the wrong way- correcting practice in the workplace, giving feedback etc..Ask questions and state "i can understand that.. But..."
Bravo gentlemen! I'm a big fan of both of you. Great discussion. I wish I could have been there with you both. I share your feelings completely.
In Norway, there are so much advertising from egg, dairy, meat and fish industries, and it is partly funded by the government and even sugary dairy products are deemed as «healthy».
im vegan because of people like him... a great man ed winters is ...thanks for having him on the show and have him again soon
Vey good interview, top stuff
Unfortunately an interview sold as a podcast.
Amazing conversation. Can't wait to read Ed's book
"We don't need a few perfect vegans to make a change, we need a lot of imperfect vegans to make a massive change." Yes.
Great content, thank you both for this important information. Looking forward to reading the book.
Fantastic conversation!
If TH-cam let viewers endorse videos to promote them on the platform, videos like this; with imperative moral value at the forefront of our collective conversation, would reach so many people, so quickly.
Seems to be one of your most popular podcasts. We need to hear Joey Carbstrong next! 🙂
This was really interesting thanks 👍
Wonderful interview ❤️
Amazing podcast, absolutely loved this, thank you Nimai, you’re an amazing person, and it was so inspiring and informative listening to Ed and hearing more about his life!
Two thoughtful, intelligent, eloquent people discussing a very important subject.
I do suggest adjusting the playback speed to be faster, however.
Brilliant interview. Two legends. Thank you both. ❤️
