Thanks Jason! It's amazing how much progress has been made in concussion research over the last few years. I think doctors need to prescribe the woods for people with concussions!
Thanks! So many more videos coming out this summer. I'm going on an epic 4-day trip this weekend and then in two weeks I'm hiking Berg Lake Trail for 5 days, which is supposed to be one of the best trails in Canada!
Haha that slow mo run out of the water! 😂 Sorry to hear about the concussion though. Seems like you’re taking a thoughtful and healthy approach to your recovery though. Get well soon!
After seeing the footage, I could not slo mo it. Haha. And thanks. It's super tough as someone who likes to be active and use their brain. Rather break a bone any day.
Looks like you are wearing Altra's. Do you know if they make a boot? I need the ankle support. Had my ankles rock over a few times. But my boots did the trick
They make a lone peak "boot" bit they don't come up the ankle very high. I've never had a boot that allowed good foot movement but also protected my ankles. I've always strengthened my ankles while healthy and then wear a brace when they are injured or healing. I have had ankles too from playing competitive soccer for decades.
What a nice retreat! Glad you're recovering. I've never been to Canada. For a short time I lived really close to the border, but I didn't have my US passport so I couldn't go haha I've since gotten a passport but haven't been up there yet, still. Banff looks beautiful!
@@JustinOutdoors thought so thank you. Ok so pick up a permit then I can go ahead and take any trail and am able to set up camp pretty much anywhere correct?
Aw man, concussion is no fun at all! Looks like you're doing ok though. Don't try to move too fast, take some time to smell the roses. Or talk to the deer. ☺
Hope you didn’t get run off the trail by mountain bikers cuz that’s such a popular mtb trail. It’s my absolute favourite in the Rockies. Great video Justin, glad you had a great recovery trek.
I’ll be doing solo overnight kayak camp out at Lake Minnewanka this Friday!!!and im getting excited I’m happy to find this video
Oh my goodness that hike looks sooooo spectacular! Awesome video Justin
All the best with the concussion recovery. I had one about 10 years ago and as far as I know recovered fully. I think most people do recover fully.
Great vid Justin :) Thanks for taking us along
That looks like a lovely little get-a-way. It's wonderful when one can enjoy their own company.
Definitely, I always underestimate how rejuvenating a solo trip can be.
The scenery is incredible out there. That is some good advice about concussion. I always sleep for a long time in the woods too. Really cool video 👍

Thanks for sharing! Was a good virtual experience 😀 Stay safe on your hikes and continue posting on TH-cam! 😁
Thanks! And I have a ton more trips and videos up my sleeve!

Thanks! Also hoping for a quick recovery.
Hope you are fully recovered now
Great time away! Hope you have a speedy recovery! Beautiful scenery!!

Thanks! It was a great trip for recovery. Been getting away as much as possible as that's the only time I feel asymptomatic.
Hi Justin, is this the lake minnewanka lakeside trail, about 16km? Thanks.
Hope you have recovered and keep making awesome videos! Also Canadian accent is so soothing

Hey bro, how do those bear lockers work and are they found across all national parks in Banff like lake louise as well? Thanks
A lot of camp sites have them but others have hanging poles too - or nothing. The reservation info will let you know.
Hi Justin! Just booking Lake Minnewanka now and I'm wondering which campsite you stayed at specifically, as there are a few. Thanks in advance!
LM8!

It was really nice! If you're ever thinking of visiting Canada, I'm sure Jesse, Matty, and I could take you on some spectacular hikes!
@@JustinOutdoors I gotta keep that in mind!
Am I able to just pitch a tent anywhere in lake louise off the trails or close to trails?
Nope. You need a permit for anywhere in the parks.

Wow, thems some real hills! 🤘
Concussions are zero fun. Tough to find a prettier recovery spot!
You sending that clip in as your audition for the next baywatch movie? lol
Hoping The Rock and Zac allow me on board. Need to get out and work on my tan more though :P

It's been over a year now and I think I'm pretty much healed. Hard to say without a baseline though :(
Justin, this great! Is it possible to make longer videos for example look at abbey barnes her channel. Which is a awesome channel also.
Just in time for lunch !!!

Do you have to book?

Watch out for The Spirit of the Lake
