I really admire both of you. I want to go there so much, but I've never been hiking before. I'm afraid I don't have enough health and experience to get in there. Especially since there are bears there, and I can't find anyone experienced to go with me, it's a pity. I wonder if there's a forum or a place where I can connect with people who want to explore this place. It would be much more reassuring if there were a group of people and someone with experience in long-distance hiking
and what would you do if a bear suddenly appear? I thought there should be a big group of people going together. Is it too dangerous for only two people to go into the forest like that?
We haven’t heard of that one but we did hear about a few other ones. We’ve also had a few encounters ourself. Could definitely make a video on this in the future!
Ya.......this year (2023) entire inventory for Lake Ohara and Egypt Lake for the summer was gone in about 5 minutes on day 1 opening for online booking......thats if you got out of the queue......kinda like Taylor Swift tickets. lol
what is a kolomotor & metor?? Very strange measurements, you must be from Europe.... I'll just consider it 12.4 miles distance & 585 miles of elevation gain, but actually, I'm just joking... I will find another similar video where they use actual measurements.
@@madetoexplore ... We Americans prefer the normal measurements, so I highly suggest you do things your way and stay out of our way, and like I said, that's if you can understand Reading Comprehension, is I am going to another similar video, but you obviously can't read very well, but guess what? I could care less.
Thanks for watching! Would you try this overnight hike in Banff?
My wife and I are going there in September and we booked the trip after watching this video!
@@brum23 awesome! Hope you have a great trip 😄

Not if you know what you’re doing but there’s always safety in numbers. There’s many hiking groups on Facebook and online that you could join!
Great video you have inspired me t go here
Awesome! 😄
Beautiful area and fantastic video showcasing it. Thanks! Easy answer to your question... YES, I would love to try it out.
Definitely recommend it! It’s an incredible area
What a content, what a magnificent work guys, this upload is filmed so professionally! Love it! 🔥
Thank you very much! 😄
thx guys for doing this, I'm going to do this at the weekend, but tomorrow I'm skiing Goats, such a contrast!!!
Welcome! Hope you have an awesome time 😄
Wonder why everything in that area has an Egyptian-themed name. Must be an interesting story behind that!
We wondered the same thing! Haha
Great video. You two have to hike from Sunshine into Assiniboine. I’d love to see that video you make.
Would love to do that one day! Thanks for the recommendation
I’m planning to do this in may!! How do you think will be the views in may. P.s- I’m from Ontario and visiting Calgary in may.
This hike won’t be open in May unfortunately. Unless you plan on skiing, I’d try doing the hike between July-Sept.
What tent is that?
It’s an older North Face backcountry model that doesn’t exist anymore
Have you guys heard about the bear attack at Dawson's Creek last year? Would love to hear how you guys stay bear safe / ready on the trail!

Just wondering how difficult was it for you to get permits for Egypt campground???
Thanks
They can be pretty competitive. I’d recommend trying to book on opening day for sure
