he had to flex on us by saying he learned kickflips at 7 and treflips at 8 jesus and i’ve been skating for 2 and a half years and i’m still ass at tre flips smh
Gotta appreciate the skill and the ease of the tricks. I’ve been skating for more than a decade and still now one of my favorite things is just to watch skateboarding especially from people who are talented. Makes you appreciate skateboarding much like an art form
Nyjah Houston is as close as you get to a robot programmed to execute every trick to perfection. He started so young and grew up skating (competing) with the best skaters on Earth, so he's a human programmed to execute every trick to perfection.
The way I relearned them and now I have them pretty much on lock , don’t hang your back foot toes off keep them in that pocket with your heel up , and use the pressure of your toes /ankle to “scoop”
the way he does it so effortlessly is the way he doenst flick with his front foot but the scoop and the flip all come from the back foot. you basically do a 360 shuv and then you scoop down so the Board flips aswell
I learned kickflips in 5 months and 360 flips the same year. The people around me had been skating for at least 3 or 4 years and they couldn't do them so I thought for sure that I'd never learn them but once I got them I couldn't understand why those people didn't learn them. Now my goal is to do them effortlessly like nyjah. I still do them 90s style.
Luan oliviera, Bryan Herman, Zered Basset, Paul Rodriguez, Tom Asta, Nijah, and Miles Silvas got the best Tre flips I've ever seen. Luan tops them all because he can do Tres in all ways(normal, switch, fakie and nollie) with crazy speed, high ass pop and style.th-cam.com/video/UD95V18l3ww/w-d-xo.html
There are a few people, most notably chris cole who have spoke on a secret to 360 flips that Rodney mullen taught him and he said he couldn't speak about it. I think the secret is that they should be automatic. Study the videos and people who do them effortlessly like nyjah and you'll notice one thing they all have in common, when they flick they really aren't flicking the board. It's all 100% in the back foot. Look at Rodney doing them in the 80s and you'll see the exact same thing. Now you can flick them of course, I do but i honestly think that is a 90s thing.
It's weight distribution, he puts weight on his back foot toes, and front foot, he does a pressure flip, half impossible scoop motion to make it flip, it is a pressure flip, but that's how all tre flips are, it's just when you get them easier you can make them look super effortless and lazy looking.
I used to think that too, but once I figured out the tre flip scoop, Tre flips, pop shuvits, and ollies are the easiest tricks I can do,if you learn pressure flips first it will make it so much easier

Harder for a lot of us out here in shitty concrete or asphalt. The pop is just not the same. Doesn’t snap and respond the same as on perfect ground like that. I feel you though I’m making excuses, but it’s still true.
Heh. Even at pro level, there are tricks that will just become extinct to you, although you'll still know how to do it. I'd imagine the initial, "hmm, let's see if I remember how to do this" doesn't last very long though, heh.
@@reza_dc2 hahahaha hey you’re not bad old man you got decent mannys but kinda sad how you’re 40 and still haven’t figured out skating isn’t about being better than others. Can clearly tell by your nyjah fandom.
