One of the few remaining large stadiums in the UK that are still in the same location and have still retained the 4 distinct separate stands, that could be seen in the UK decades, and has not been turned into a concrete cowpat like so many modern soulless grounds
I totally agree with you. I was fascinated with wanting to visit HILLSBOROUGH and have been wanting to do a stadium tour here for over 3 years. COVID restrictions and living abroad made that hard for me. Finally I got to visit and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Exactly how I see and think about Hillsborough and football grounds around England these days! Sheffield people are very lucky to have Hillsborough and Brammall Lane at the heart of their city🏴❤️🇬🇧⚽🏴
@@superowlsforlife I totally agree. An have experienced this 5 years ago as a Blackburn Rovers fan. Fortunately we got out of League 1 within 1 season. Hopefully you do too.
@The Dockrays I didn't you know you support blackburn pal but I did hear you guys was awesome in 90s and 2000s you once wore premier league champions in 95
@@superowlsforlife yeah we were in the 90’s when I was a child. They were the best team in the country for half of the 90’s with Manchester United. How times have changed.
One stadium would love to go. Why did they take the temporary seating out of the corner? Looks like they just painted it blue. Who had better stadium sheff u or sheff wednesday in your opinion?
Sheffield Wednesday is better for me. They even were a host for Euro 96 and Sheffield United wasn’t chosen. Not sure about the corner; probably doesn’t matter at the moment as don’t fill the stadium, until they get out of League 1.
Very true. But in a way, that’s what makes it a great stadium tour. You feel the history at this iconic stadium. Also they make lack the financial support since being out the Premier League.
True it probably does. Not sure if Sheffield Wednesday have the finances for a new stadium. But it’s nice to experience a traditional British stadium from the past compared to these modern stadiums.
Very true: historically a big ground still going. An yes, the whole place needs a brush up: but I like these more traditional stadiums with a story to tell.
Very true. Lots of history an fans in a big passionate city such as Sheffield. Hopefully they can at least get back to the championship this season. Nice to see them beat Newcastle on Saturday.
I was there a few days ago I got to go in the changeing rooms on the pitch play a little match on pitch I literally got to go everywhere the general public can’t go (I’m not a footballer by the way*

@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 very true: a horrible tragedy on that day.
@@TheDockrays i wasn't born until 1991 but it affects every Liverpool supporter.
Thanks for the film. All things considered I think the stadium looks in reasonable condition. Really iconic ground.
Hi Jon, I totally agree. It’s still in very good condition and is a iconic stadium which still has the history of a classic English football stadium.
We're sheffield wednesday we'll never be defeated!!
Good positive attitude. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
@The Dockrays I hope we get promoted I don't like League one football it's a bad league to be in you support an EX premier league club

Apart from the chansiri seats the stands look like they did 30 years ago no changes at all.

Really needs rebuilding. I've been going 45 years and that paint is faded. WAWAW 🦉

I support Cambridge Utd. I've seen the U's lose there twice, 6-0 and 5-0. I am never going there ever again.
Sounds like a bad luck stadium for yourself and Cambridge United. Still a nice stadium with lots of history mind.

Classic my friend. Historic stadium.
A derisory comment made out of envy dear boy
