This video made me cry multiple times, simply your reactions at the end made me sob Void Stranger means a lot to me, so thank you for your ending explanations (I didn't have the patience to finish all the puzzles yet!) I have many theories on this game, lots of correlations with ZeroRanger and many details I believe we may never fully connect, with this I want to comment on my favorite detail this game provides Void Stranger is an analogy of hell, a labyrinth of suffering, a path of eternal torture we never truly leave Void Stranger will never leave our brains, we will never feel the satisfaction of a complete timeline, a complete story, a complete understanding of all its connections, it's a neverending labyrinth Though for now, we can rest Have a nice day, Brian!
For the carcass ending I believe it too is a reference to Link's Awakening with the giant egg. Siniliar to the giant egg of the Wind Fish in Link's Awakening. Also the tect that says "The bell tolls for you" is a reference to the gam "A Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls" whivh is a Nintendo game that only released in Japan, but is the inspiration behind/the game that Link's Awakening is based on. There's a fan yranslation that I've heard is really well done that you can emulate. Based on yhe vudeos on your channel it would probably be something you would enjoy if you haven't played it already.
Your let's play and lore videos are probably the best way to experience the game after reaching a stopping point in our own playthrough ! Thanks for seeing this through to the end.
I loved playing Void Stranger but felt like I was going crazy trying to piece it all together on my own. Having your lore videos to go through was so fantastic, and having other people point out all the fun references to Berserk/Revelations in particular was great! I hope you keep making video essay content, I've plugged your videos to a couple friends because I think you do fantastic.
My interpretation of the mimic dream is that it is actually the mimic's dream where for a moment they realize what they are, and the life they cannot have due to their nature as a false person. They can never escape the labyrinth, or have the wish implanted into them by Gray be fulfilled.
I always thought the 4 sentences of the rocks were representations of the 4 chapters or Arcs we players experience through the game: The regular Gray route, the Lillie chapter, Cif's adventure and finally the DIS route. Each of those sentences can only be read in their respective story arcs, so for me it was something like a "road down memory lane" where we would see them again right before the final ending(s), just one final act of fanservice. But I've gotta admit, the 4-stages-of-life interpretation is also very clever and links perfectly with the rest of the allegories to the samsara cycle, I think I like it better.
That is a LOT in this game. I am glad you took us on the journey. You are one of my favorite LPers ever and this kind of analysis and approach to gaming is why. Thank you!
Thanks for these videos, although you've moved on I haven't quite yet, my remaining question is Add, is she the researcher manifested into a god? Why does she sometimes seem to be represented by the comet? If she isnt the original researcher why make the void lords similar to them? Regardless these videos have given me as much closure as I think I'm gonna get on this wonderful game. Helping me find answers I struggled to come to. So thank you for helping this wonderful experience of a game feel even more fulfilling.
Thank you Dr, as always we are having a HREAT day with your content, diligence, and insights into these games. Thank you for taking us along on your exploration of this 💚💚
Hey man, thanks for every single video and the deep dives on all of them. But do you mind me asking a few questions that still left me wondering? 1. What exacly happens in the three carcass endings ans how are they connected to the story 2. Is gray alive in the DIS ending? 3. So eus cheated on add with dr lily? Appreciate it if you have the time to reply, thanks again for the journey.
Thanks! Here's some off-the-cuff thoughts... 1. We just get glimpses into the distant past of the events that precede most everything in the story and suggest the parallel world of scientists and technology that uncovered the remnants of the Zero Ranger universe 2. No (in Lillie's version she's already died naturally; in Gray's version, she's killed by Lev and then Add is just possessing the corpse, is how I interpret it) 3. It's vaguely implied, but there's very little concrete evidence to go on
@@lorgon111 thanks for the reply man. The carcass endings really gave me more confusion than understanding, just when i thought i pieced out together the story by watching your videos, the three carcass endings just hit me like a truck with info dump and made my brain mush.
The two best supporting pieces of evidence are: first, after 'arise, Devanum Indra Sakra', the 8 orbs light up in order that is presumably Void Lord order, and this one corresponds to Eus; second, it calls Lily "Little one", which is also a phrase Tail uses.
These videos are fantastic! Thank you so much for making them!

It's literally impossible not to cry each time I see a pixel of mimics tree ending

Ah yes, good observation, it hadn't occurred to me how one is from each of the four acts.
Honestly a true demonstration of persistence, kudos, enjoyed your vids a ton

I think they’re still adding more stuff too
Thank you for the journey!
Thanks for all of your work❤
Thanks you for all this I’m definitely going to make more videos too :)
Also, you're the best! You really got me into this game even though I'm not capable of playing it!
Thanks for all your encouraging comments along the way

will there ever be a lore video on add? like who is she, lillie's mom? gray? both? a ghost who just posesses both aforementioned humans?
I seem to have missed the revelation - how do you know that its the spirit of Eus talking to Lily in before the final fight of DIS route?

@@lorgon111 Oh, I see. Yeah that makes sense. Thanks!
