Funny enough, I use "reduce motion" on my iPhone, so it feels much snappier than 120Hz. It has no animations in the UI, so 120Hz is pretty much useless. I do not play games, and when I scroll, I am reading, so I do it slowly. Therefore higher-refresh is neutered. Although I feel that 120Hz is a gimmick for non-gamers, it will be good to have, not for the higher refresh, but for battery life, as when watching media, a dynamic refresh will spool down to 30Hz, so a saving of 50% on battery usage for that task. That is why we look forward to it, not for the gimmicky 120Hz that many of us that are a bit older do not even notice. Bearing in mind that Samsung pushed 120Hz hard with the s20 and N20 and both have had sales well below expectations and that Apple does not have it, and sales are booming, I think you are trying to find reasons for Samsung that do not exist in the real world outside YT!

I just switched from iPhone 12 to the s20fe. The S20 Fe is great. I’m not going to put down apple they both have pros and cons. Personally I just got tired of paying over a $1000 Canadian for iPhone and it lacked features I wanted that the FE offered. I thin “premium glass build” is a marketing gimmick to have people buy more breakable phones plus most people put a plastic case on their phone anyway. Also I find the stainless steel phones more heavy. I like how apple has their hardware and software integrated but for the price I think I’ll stay with Android. I’m interested to see how Google integrates their own chips with software
I've been using the S20 for almost 3 weeks now, after switching from iphone XS. Also bought an active watch 2 and a pear of buds+ in open box deals. The whole ecosystem is great! I did not expect the watch to be better than my old apple watch 4 and the buds to look cooler than my old ipods, now collecting dust in a drawer. But there it is! I also did not know Spotify existed before I bought the Samsung phone. it's great. It's light years ahead of Apple and I don't think i could go back to inferior tech now after having experienced this. Battery life on the S20 is great. I always have maybe 70% left at the end of the day. Guess I'm not a heavy uset. It's not just better, it's light years better. Don't understand how Apple brainwashed me into buying their inferior products for the last 5 years.
I do, but it's not the FE, it's the S20. Not only do I still use it, but the One UI update which was delivered to ot in January seems to have breathed new life into it. It's practically a new phone- much faster, much more responsive and it also looks to me like the screen and graphics are much better. I don't know what they've done with this update, but it's definitely right. Made the phone better.

Also not really a fair comparison. The S20 FE 5G is definitely the cheaper device. MSRP is $829 for Iphone and $700 for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Also there are never big sales for apple while even right now, you can get the S20 FE 5g for $400 on their website. @@pilarsingleton I will admit that iPhone has its advantages. For example, it mostly does a better job with taking photos. Most noticeable with things like clouds in the sky. Also when taking videos at night, the iPhone does a better job. Lastly what I learned from my wife not too long ago, is that it makes a HUGE difference if you use something like Instagram. At first I didn't believe her that the difference would be that big. Turns out, that Instagram only makes a screenshot / screen capture of what the camera sees. I guess apps are way more optimized for Apple because there are only like 30 different phones instead of over 1,000 for Android. Anyways, I prefer Android because it's way more cost efficient and customizable.
@@john9801 Samsung used to be the leader when it came to the camera, apple has only taken over in recent years; for the exception of the selfie camera. I prefer Samsung selfies to apple, especially the photos from my new FE. I did find that out about insta and android phones not too long ago and was bummed, but I found a workaround through tiktok, when you share from tiktok to Instagram the quality appears to be unchanged, so I think that, that will be my new go to from now on for videos. Also Snapchat photos look decent on androids. I gave apple a try a few years back just to see what the hype was and I will admit certain things, like seeing videos over text messages and FaceTime were pluses, but I hated the fact that I couldn't customize much about the phone even though I got away with what I could, that ultimately was not what turned me off of iphone. I was ultimately considering sticking with apple until my iCloud was hacked and those services that I appreciated such as iMessage and FaceTime were disabled due to the security breach (which I thought was unheard of with apple) and it took over a week to fix the issue, I had to speak to a certain person in a certain department inorder to unlock my account and with the time difference and schedules we could only talk for 1 hour a day (on my way to work) in which I needed to be connected to wifi, everything with apple needs wifi 😒 which was not easily available to me at the time since I was trying to minimize bills and only use my cell data/hotspot to get by.

I purchased the FE just because my Pixel 3a died and the FE was what Verizon had in stock. As it turned out, this was a fortunate accident. I'm an older guy with some hearing loss. After buying the FE I stumbled on an article describing how Samsung has been testing it's phones paired with the Samsung Earbuds Pro for their hearing assist potential. I then purchased a set of the earbuds and guess what? The combination (with the appropriate adjustments made in their Accessibility settings) works great! The built in app will even give you a hearing test to determine your optimal sound frequency profile. I now wear one of the buds in noisy locals (like restaurants) and can have a semi-normal conversation, without all the "Canyourepeatthat?s" Oh..and I would recommend the phone in any event.
I thought the FE was a sized phone but it's actually big. I bought it after thinking I was tired with big phones and wanted a small phone but I couldn't keep it. The pixel 5 is just the phone size I need.
People always say "ios is better optimized on iphone" ios is ONLY available on iphone it's not like there's another phne with ios, i think its just better optimized than android.

Go with the s20 FE (SD version ofc). However if you dont like One UI and want a bit more stock feel without the samsung bloatware, and also want a more premium build with a glass back then go for the 8T. Keep in mind though, you lose wireless charging, water resistance and the cameras arent as good. Due to these reasons for almost the same price I think FE is a better deal overall.

@Yes hey there, if you don't play any gpu heavy games then sure, get the s20 FE. The 8Ts cameras in comparison are just not up to par with what Samsung has to offer, and when it comes to media consumption well both the phones have great displays, Samsungs being a bit better but none would disappoint. However though, if battery life is important to you, the 8T not only has twice as fast charging with 65 watt, but would average more screen on time than the exynos FE. I don't think the FEs screen on time would be bad though. Not great either maybe 4-5. I personally have the Snapdragon FE 5G variant and get around 6-7 hours screen on time. The camera is amazing by the way. Right up there with the normal s20. So if cameras are what it comes down to go with the FE. (Also since you're not a gamer and cameras are top priority my top recommendation would be the Pixel 5 it takes great pictures)

LOL, good point! Now I know that the FE stands for Fan Edition 😃
I'll keep my FE. Thanks.
Welcome to Andriod S20 my friend, leaving that shitty unworthy apple products aside. it's a wise decision
You could have dodged the bullet tho with the s20. Most of the s20 with green line issues are the s20 plus version.

The FE does have a one handed mode that can be turned on that will shrink the screen (and can be moved to the left or right side of the screen depending on if you are right or left handed that you didn't mention) so take that into consideration also if you feel like the elongated screen might be to large and you need to make the screen smaller.

Turns out, that Instagram only makes a screenshot / screen capture of what the camera sees.

I now wear one of the buds in noisy locals (like restaurants) and can have a semi-normal conversation, without all the "Canyourepeatthat?s" Oh..and I would recommend the phone in any event.

Hey Tech Daily. Do you think it’s worth the upgrade from the 2nd Gen SE to 12 Mini?
No no no, I had a 12 mini and sold it within 3 months, massive overheating and screen dimming issues in sunlight. I did all the so called fixes but nothing helps, I was so annoyed as I was really looking forward to owning that phone! Now gone back to my OnePlus 7 Pro, but changing up to a FE20 as I have cracked my screen on the 7Pro
Your sound is so satisfying. I watch your videos while eating.
*yah i know its strange😂*
Nah its not 😂
@@femi.f5045 well its completely subjective...I guess???
@@gamingpumpkin521 no i mean watching TH-cam while eating aint strange lol
@@femi.f5045 oh really😂😂
I got my S20 FE the other day for $310. Samsung Black Friday deals if you have a trade-in device.
Which device did u trade in ?
S20 FE vs Oneplus 8T
Go with the s20 FE (SD version ofc). However if you dont like One UI and want a bit more stock feel without the samsung bloatware, and also want a more premium build with a glass back then go for the 8T. Keep in mind though, you lose wireless charging, water resistance and the cameras arent as good. Due to these reasons for almost the same price I think FE is a better deal overall.
@@ibrahimshamail3389 I just delete the bloatware and download Google apps to replace the Samsung ones. That way you get the better hardware and close to the same software
I ordered S20FE from the official site of Samsung and I received a defected device with camera played badly on the back panel of the phone with glue coming out of it. I contacted the customer help line and in 3 days after the delivery and they said you need to complain within 24 hours of the phone delivery. I dont know what all things are compromised from my device be it water proofing or the camera functioning but my consent is the company only offers 1 days of device replacement in case of Quality Assurance Failure .
S20 FE 5G has better screen (120hz HDR10+), got a telephoto, got twice the storage, more battery, not too bad performance (it is still SD865), and most importantly...
ANDROIDDDDDD
True, I bought this phone, and it has ghost screen, I'm really upset with that
@@duckvoa Dont use it at Max brightness or watch TH-cam while you are in the comments. I can't wait for Micro LED to come around.
@@UProductions457 what? What are you talking about?
@@duckvoa The display ghosting
@@UProductions457 oh damn , I haven't had that issue with my S20FE, well not yet at least as far I can see.
Thanks, I bought on price and storage and what I needed the phone to perform. So, I bought the Samsung S20FE 5G. And, I like it!
I had a offer i could not refuse.
I'm thinking of switching from android to apple, any advice?
Have deep pockets? 🤔
Also don't forget to purchase the charger. Doesn't come with the phone itself.
@@GHSTSTRSCRM thanks
Which Android are you switching from?
Go ahead.. Its your money

Looking to get the FE, coming from iPhone 11. Worth the ecosystem change in the context of longevity?
Pretty sure the 11 would last longer for software updates
I am watching this on the s20 fe. I had 100 percent at the beginning, but when I finished I had 97 percent. I guess it depends on the specific phone.
hey a quick silly question haha. i got my s20 fe 5g two days back and feel like its battery drain faster than my previous phone (oneplus 7 pro with 4000 mah). is there something like it drains more battery in the initial days of getting a new one? pls help me out here bro
@@siddhantkothari9580 so it maybe could be something that happens like that. In the first week or so it trys to figure out your usage. After a week or two your battery will be great. Hope that helps.
It's me it's a straight battle between operating systems and display. Also bear in mind Apple support their devices for much longer. I have owned both and prefer FE overall as I enjoy customisation and consuming media.
