You should do a video on light automatisation. Variation of light intensity during the day and variation of colors to mimic sunrise, sundown and moonlight. And also addressable LEDs to light up specific areas of the rank to personalize color temperature for each plants.
@@jaylodewijckx2898 yeah!! Nice! I've done it on a raspberry pi for LEDs temperatures, food and water electrolysis. It's awesome I have almost nothing to do anymore, just enjoying the view!
Yes please do a full series on AUTOMOSIZATION 😂. Hope there’s a part 2 of this coming at least to see the basic functions that come with unit (not addons). Install, controller setup, dosing pump mechanics, etc.
@@GreenAquaShop He may indeed be poking fun. :) Your English is actually very very good. Este probabil mai bun decât românul meu (soția mea este româncă). An atomizer is something that turns something into the smallest measurable unit, like an atom. An automator is something that automates something. An automatizator is... what, something that automatically atomizes something?? :) In English, I think we tend to use Automation regularly, while Automatization is much less common. I would probably have titled the video Automation, though Automatization is not wrong, it is simply the process of Automating.
@@GreenAquaShop haha title was correct "automation" then you kept pronouncing it automisization and in the video spelled it this way. thought you were doing it as a joke!
Great video. Like always. The unique thing that i apreciate is the músic. In my opinion the músic before was more funny/happy with lyrics and give a plus to the videos. I dont know why change this, probably for copyright issues.
No, we still use epidemicsound - as usual. It was I, Balazs who selected the music before - now it is mostly Szebi. It reflects his taste, but I'll talk to him. :D
Nice presentation, you should develop more this aspect, auquarium automation can convince the ones afraid by all time consuming tasks for a tank maintenance.. aquarium are to enjoy, with respect of the animal, but not to constraint ;-)
@@GreenAquaShop I used another system more cost friendly but requiring bit adaptation since it is primarily smart home devices to be used for aquarium.. www.miaquarium.com ;-)
I'm implementing my own automation system :) Some features: 1. Controlling lights and other electrical devices(4 sockets on board) 2. Turning on/off filters for maintenance 3. Controlling the system via phone(Android/iOS(will be soon)/browser(can be used on iOS devices)) 4. Suggestions(warnings if the light is configured to be on for a very long time) 5. Controlling the system from any point on the globe. You don't have to be connected to the same network 6. Adding new peripherals (temp sensors, dosators, feeders, etc) wirelessly. No need to connect new wires, and have additional not waterproof points
Also, it's very interesting how the system mentioned in the video will handle long-term usage. Because pH/TDS sensors will degrade if they are permanently in water. And is there really a need to monitor pH/TDS 24/7?
@@edwardoid not TDS but pH you really have to if you are using it to control CO2 injection. For example, with my set up, i aim for a 1 pH drop when CO2 is on, so the controller opens and closes the solenoid valve based on pH value....
@@HAlves-ip9cn sounds nice, but 1 pH drop is quite ok. I mean you could have permanent pH test which will show quite precisely your current pH/CO2 level, and you can adjust your co2 injection cycle to have permanent pH level. And actually it could be cheaper, easier to maintain(replace liquid in drop checker). In my opinion continuous pH measuring sounds nice, but it's redundant..
Edward Sarkisyan yeah that’s what I have right now. The probe it’s always partially immersed and measures PH each minute or 2 minutes. In software I can set when Solenoid is On, when is off and if I set it to auto e can either control it by light intensity (ex closed below 15%) or set a pH interval and the solenoid will open and close to keep pH in that range. It’s quite handy since pH/CO2 is tightly controlled. I save CO2 and know it’s very consistent day to day. 1 drop is pH between CO2 on/off corresponds roughly to 25-30ppm. I am sure one day I will have to replace the probe but they are not that expensive anyway and much better than having to buy replacement chips to measure it. This way it’s a continuous and precise measurement. Well worthy in my opinion. If you can do that in yours I would say, definitely go for it.
I greet the entire crew from Green Aqua. I have a question about fertilizing by a dosing pump. Do you give fertilizer every day - do you give it entirely at once? Do you separate it into any parts during the day? Are they all at once?
I think that is fantastic, I am going to sell my tank and buy one and I think I will get a new Brain why I am at it. That aside it does look good and Victor came across really well It just left me feeling a bit 🥴
I have a question, is the dispenser suitable for an aquarium with a volume of 180L? Or I'll find out all that in that particular part of the manufacturer. Thanks for the reply, you make great videos, I really appreciate it :)
Very cool! Could the slave controllers with 4 or maybe 8 heads be controlled by the main controller by bluetooth or wi-fi? So you could just buy a unit for each show tank and put it in the cabinet with the main controller mounted somewhere in the middle of the room?
Currently the systems are connected with PAB cables. Would be nice to do all this wireless. But yes one main unit can handle the rest and you can control that single device from your phone or via browser
Wow! always wanted to know how auto dosing works!! Just a question for you guys at green aqua, for your smaller tanks (e.g. 60p tanks) how do you avoid getting smaller fish (e.g. ember tetras) stuck in the Eheim skimmer? Currently this is a big problem in my tank. Hope you guys can help!
For the skimmer we've developed a guard: greenaqua.hu/en/green-aqua-skim-350-uszo-garnelavedelemmel.html Alternatively just turn on for 10 min a day, do not run it continuously.
Very interesting subject, I have to admit. For now I'm using only CO2 and light time controller, this basic ones. But looking into buying Jebao dosing pump, with two heads for my new setup in 250L aquarium.
Dosing is a good. But since you're after the cheaper dosing please consider using a 4 or 6 head version if there are not much difference on pricing. If you change your mind on dosing or you would like to include others in the dosing routine no need to buy another unit or additional heads.
@@GreenAquaShop I am looking to dose Vimi All In One as I'm using Vimi Reminamin. The scape is based on Tropica Soil, black lava stones and natural sand at the foreground and path towards back in the middle. Thank you for your concern. Warm regards from becoming hot Manchester UK.
I am also using Jebao 2.4. Very good doser. Better to buy 4 head version. It is not too expensive and if you change feryilization you will have more heads
Thanks Viktor, for giving another valuable video on gear in the same hobby , i have an idea to add in my 90p aquarium , its quite expansive so confuse to add , Please suggest to take a good stand 😉
Hi Ragul, you can add piece by piece to support your hobby. Like a doser first. For a 90P tank you need to dose almost 400ml-1L fertilizer a month. So there it makes sense to put all of this task to a dosing machine. You also can study about DIY things like the raspberry devices. Then measure temp and learn more about what happening in your tank in a week/month for example.
Great presentation by victor! Its good to have a system that helps you to be in total control but at the same time i feel that all these high-tech gadgets are taking away the simplicity of this hobby... Its my personal feeling!
Thanks, Shawn, good to have some solution in case if you need them. Some love the simplicity as you said, others need full control or assist with the maintenance. Some only enjoy the DIY crafting part of these things :) The hobby is great and gives you many areas to discover if you're interested in that. Thanks for watching 👍
ugh, i did one replacement too in one of our very old profilux machine. luckily there are no LCD on the new dosers :) but still i like the way how easy it is to replace such a thing in these units. Or add in new slots/functions.
I use a raspberry pi to do 4 x 20% water changes on my discus tank daily. I'm currently integrating node-red as inspired by the ReefSpy channel to give me graphical visualisations.
@FlyRenegade could you explain me a little bit more about your system to water changes? Did you mentioned that you change 4x20%, but what is the interval between each operation? And how do you prepare the new water to have the right parameter? The water parameters don’t changes during the interval between each operation? Sorry for these ton of questions, but I am projecting a similar system using Arduino.
@@douglasfch no problem. interval between each is 5 hours. Sump return pump is switched off by the pi during a w/c. Water is extracted from the sump into the drain. I prepare the water by passing it through DI reactors into the sump. My planted sump has air pumps, a circulation powerhead and a heater. pH is the same. The pi has a temperature probe in the sump and a temperature probe in the tank. Once the temps are within a configurable temperature band of each other the sump water is returned to the tank and the sump-tank water circulation start again.
Who uses this stuff? Hobbyists wont I guess, isnt this more something for corporate use or rich cliënts who hire someone 4 maintenance? I havent got any automation, just a feeder 4 when on holiday :-) Question, did u guys do a video on the different aquascape styles in the past? I was looking and couldnt find one. Btw a cinematic of the Iwagumi of Fukada San would me much appreciated. I really loved that scape and i wonder how it looks 4 months after creation. Keep up the awesome job!
"Who uses this stuff? Hobbyists wont I guess" You're wrong :) Do not forget we all love different things in this hobby. Some in full love with the fish, others are more into the plants, some people love the maintenance time others hate it. Some do more water testing than others. We're more or less technical persons and there are many people who still do not read a single email a day :) But that is a beauty part of the hobby. We all can learn so much about it. We're all different. After 12-15 years in the hobby i do appreciate these supportive techs. As i am not that love anymore with maintenance, but i do love the beauty side of these aquariums. The time i spend on the maintenance i spend with my daughter. Still these devices are expensive, but not significantly compare to a decent light for example. Still not for everyone. We had a lot of videos on aquascping, but a dedicated one for styles we do not have as far as i remember. Will think about it. On Fukada's tank we're waiting for the moment to capture it. Cinematic videos usually recorded when the tank is in a certain shape/form. On this one we needed more time because of the stem plants. I hope we can capture it in the upcoming weeks. - Viktor
You can use an U shape glass on the edge of the aquarium for the hoses or inject this to the filter line. We had both in the past, but prefer the U Glass or the sump way for less failure
@@GreenAquaShop , by the way, Mr Balaz, why do in my tank, there is always.. like a white membran on above my water surface. it's like i shed an oil in my tank.
Hi guys, it looks great only when one can't look after the aquarium (e.g. holidays). Indeed, I'd rather use one of those instead of explaining a hundred different things to my best friend...The only automatisation I have is the Bluetooth control of the Chihiros RGB Plus lights I got (not really good considering that it doesn't work if the Bluetooth device is not close to control the lights. It means that the lights itself do not storage my settings but needs me close to do what it has to do) and a wi-fi controlled power strip that helps me control the solenoid valve (this last one is very recommended).
In the upcoming years we will see more and more of these smart devices which you can manage from anywhere. Yup the main goal is to remotely manage some functions, but if you're long enough in the hobby you will appreciate the help with many tasks including auto water change, fertilizers, CO2 injections too. Leakage sensor is pretty helpful especially in the age of these plastic canisters which always leak :)
Level pro x1000 😎! Maybe when I get my hands on the euromillions lottery, since I could also use a chiller. 38 to 42°C in the summer it's not easy to keep it fresh at home. The cooler fans are working 14 hours a day 😑
If you have as many aquariums as you have, the automatic system comes in handy. But if there is one, then it probably makes no sense! Although I'm interested in seeing how it works. And automation is very relevant for me when I leave for travel for a month. But the question price🧐
Well i am not with you on your opinion. :) We're all different. Different lifestyle, interest, time etc. Let's say you have a 1000L aquarium but you're busy with the family, job etc to enjoy the maintenance as much as you did before. Still you would like to keep a beautiful tank at home. So a system which handle the water changes automatically, adjust the CO2, do the dosing every day is a real support. In some cases protect your investment too. Again this is not for everyone, but helpful in many situations.
Great video, maybe if I didnt love doing everything by myself I would invest in this kind of stuff hahaha but great info... by the way what is the name of the snail that eats black brush algae? Because I was trying to look it up but I couldnt find the name of it. 😥
Sure we still do most of the jobs manually, but good to have some options for those cases, where some help needed. For brush you can use Clithon snails for example.
If they had a Nitrate sensor that could be attached to it I would definitely get one today, currently I have automated the lights, air stone times, as well as temp control for those hot days using an animus home some smart plugs and temp settings in all 4 of my tanks
Hi green aqua, i'm subcriber from indonesia, please review some aquascaper from indonesia, they have some tricky and technique for setting wood like nature condition , with an extreme style and you can have a million viewers from a short time with that content happy scaping 🤘
I used to run a Neptune Systems Apex on my planted tank. Controlled lights, heater, Co2, dosing, all with variables I personally wanted. Set failure shut offs according to the ph reading or temp/etc. Didn't like it. Now for saltwater setups, absolutely.
Interesting, i think this all depend how much you want to offload to a unit like this. Seems like with the saltwater you feel more confident to do this. Or would not like to hassle with the system in general. Most of us would love to do a button driven water change as this is the most painful on the long run. Later you will neglect fertilizers and maybe not put that much attention to CO2 too. Getting an alert in email about a change is a good thing. Many planted aquarium failures are about imbalance and neglect/maintenance issues. This drives the majority of the algae issues.
Around 30C. The problem we use mixed plants usually and most of them are sensitive for warm water. For this reason we stick to 25C and under all the time.
We have a few videos on the cheap water change way, but would be nice to talk a bit about the other side too. When you do not have to do any water change :) maybe GHL will join us on this topic in the 2nd half of the year.
this is a solution for people who travel extensively. Who will feed your fish, do your water changes, check various chemical levels & make adjustments? This can also let you check in on your tank from anywhere in the world.
We're not the same. Even if you're at home probably after some years you only would like to enjoy the view, the healthy appearance. Not the maintenance side. Or you're in a different age like me when you spend the time with the kids, so all support is appreciated with the upkeep :)
Good one to have some day🙂 in india, I have 2 , 2ft small tanks ..I m using ada fertilizer..so it's lil difficult to use with those dosing pump.. every good for ei dosing though..as of now only using smart Power stripe which is controlling CO2, light, surface skimmer..power on/off on schedule..rest all manual 😟 till now, hope some day will be automated those as well...

You should do a video on light automatisation. Variation of light intensity during the day and variation of colors to mimic sunrise, sundown and moonlight. And also addressable LEDs to light up specific areas of the rank to personalize color temperature for each plants.
Thanks Robin, noted 👍
great plan, im gonne automate all with home assistent witch can controll almost all data ledstrip, for so cheap :)
Thanks! Was there a typo somewhere?
Haha, right. Well, can't help it. I speak Romanian too btw. Automatizare mă. :D Haha.
Im using Micro PH from Mirek and its great Tool.
I like your video and I am from India
Victor did a great job, keep up the good work!
Thank you 🙏
Love this guy 👍 need more Victor on the channel
Thank you Justin 🙏
Definitely want to see more of this
Thank you, will work on that 👍
Green Aqua looking into other systems like Apex and Felix would also be great, especially the latter
Great idea, thanks for the suggestion 👍
Great video. Like always. The unique thing that i apreciate is the músic. In my opinion the músic before was more funny/happy with lyrics and give a plus to the videos. I dont know why change this, probably for copyright issues.
No, we still use epidemicsound - as usual. It was I, Balazs who selected the music before - now it is mostly Szebi. It reflects his taste, but I'll talk to him. :D
No way! I love the "old school way" of aquascaping
This is not a replacement of the traditional way of course. But gives you some comfort in some situation 👍
Nice presentation, you should develop more this aspect, auquarium automation can convince the ones afraid by all time consuming tasks for a tank maintenance.. aquarium are to enjoy, with respect of the animal, but not to constraint ;-)
Yepp, this is the biggest advantage of automation.
@@GreenAquaShop I used another system more cost friendly but requiring bit adaptation since it is primarily smart home devices to be used for aquarium.. www.miaquarium.com ;-)
I'm implementing my own automation system :)
Some features:
1. Controlling lights and other electrical devices(4 sockets on board)
2. Turning on/off filters for maintenance
3. Controlling the system via phone(Android/iOS(will be soon)/browser(can be used on iOS devices))
4. Suggestions(warnings if the light is configured to be on for a very long time)
5. Controlling the system from any point on the globe. You don't have to be connected to the same network
And is there really a need to monitor pH/TDS 24/7?
no matter what sensor you're using you need to replace them timely
Thank you for the French subtitles
😊 👍
of course we like Victor 🖤
Cool! We like him too. :)
Hi ,, im from Indonesian ,,, im always waiting for the new videos
Thanks so much for the support - and the comment too! Cheers.
Great Viktor!!
Thank you 🙏
oddly enough i was just talking with my friend about automating my tank with some diy arduino, seeing this only makes me wanna do it more xD
Good timing then. :) Cheers.
Technology looking like marvel 😁😁
Yepp, it is.
@@GreenAquaShop yeah . Aquarists assemble ! 😂😂
😃 👍
I've been waiting for this part! Thanks! I am interested in more details on this!
Thanks for the feedback, will eventually come back to this topics!
Like we mentioned this is not for everyone. But sometimes the extra comfort or the safety and support pay itself on a long term.
I have a question, is the dispenser suitable for an aquarium with a volume of 180L? Or I'll find out all that in that particular part of the manufacturer. Thanks for the reply, you make great videos, I really appreciate it :)
Yes, it is, these dosers can be used for any tank size, really.
amazing video, still in the learning process
The more you're in this hobby the more can learn for sure. We're also on the learning curve, but we enjoy it 👍
Woah....Finally Victor makes his appearance in another video. :) I can hear Peter Roscoe going “Viktor!!!!!???” :p
Haha, right! We're so glad Viktor helps us with these appearances.
For the skimmer we've developed a guard: greenaqua.hu/en/green-aqua-skim-350-uszo-garnelavedelemmel.html
Alternatively just turn on for 10 min a day, do not run it continuously.
Notification Squad ✌️
The undisputable king of notifications. Haha.
Good content 🔥🔥🔥, thanks to added subtitle, im form Indonesia
Cheers Kevin.
Thanks for the watching.

😊 🙏
I am also using Jebao 2.4. Very good doser. Better to buy 4 head version. It is not too expensive and if you change feryilization you will have more heads
Mind blowing 🤯
Cheers, thanks for watching.
Thanks Viktor, for giving another valuable video on gear in the same hobby , i have an idea to add in my 90p aquarium , its quite expansive so confuse to add , Please suggest to take a good stand
😉
Hi Ragul, you can add piece by piece to support your hobby. Like a doser first. For a 90P tank you need to dose almost 400ml-1L fertilizer a month. So there it makes sense to put all of this task to a dosing machine. You also can study about DIY things like the raspberry devices. Then measure temp and learn more about what happening in your tank in a week/month for example.
Really thanks for you advise victor 👌🏻as Balazs said you're the will knowledge person in this topic 😊
Thanks so much. This is an interesting topic and for some another hobby to gain skills. 😃
Thanks for watching 👍
still using the ghl dosing pumps here since 2010 :)
Awesome! And no motor change in that timeframe? The new dosers are super cool if you have a chance to test it.
@@GreenAquaShop only a defect display which i had to change. Sadly it was outside of the warranty. So it wasnt cheap 🤐😛
ugh, i did one replacement too in one of our very old profilux machine. luckily there are no LCD on the new dosers :) but still i like the way how easy it is to replace such a thing in these units. Or add in new slots/functions.
Wow that is so amazing
Thanks a lot.

I use a raspberry pi to do 4 x 20% water changes on my discus tank daily.
I'm currently integrating node-red as inspired by the ReefSpy channel to give me graphical visualisations.
Sounds awesome. These small devices are pretty good especially if you're interested in programming/diy things. 👍
@@douglasfch
no problem.
interval between each is 5 hours.
Happy friendship day sir 😊
Yeah!
Who uses this stuff? Hobbyists wont I guess, isnt this more something for corporate use or rich cliënts who hire someone 4 maintenance? I havent got any automation, just a feeder 4 when on holiday :-)
Question, did u guys do a video on the different aquascape styles in the past? I was looking and couldnt find one. Btw a cinematic of the Iwagumi of Fukada San would me much appreciated. I really loved that scape and i wonder how it looks 4 months after creation. Keep up the awesome job!
"Who uses this stuff? Hobbyists wont I guess" You're wrong :)
Do not forget we all love different things in this hobby.

Great video! And I want to know the detail of how to hide the hose of the titration pump,Is it hidden in the tank or filtered?
You can use an U shape glass on the edge of the aquarium for the hoses or inject this to the filter line. We had both in the past, but prefer the U Glass or the sump way for less failure
I am still stuck at the primitive stage of guessing.
Many are. It's fine too, you'll have a lot of experience with time.
That makes two of us.
Yeah!. You're not the only one.
34 menits ago , damn..
i hope i become the first 10 to show up ..
hereeee i comeeee !!
Good job! :)
I would have liked more fish videos.
We will cover as much topic as we can of course 👍
I would need one of your Gabors to run this kind of automatisation . Looks cool though. I have an auto feeder.
The point is to need less Gabors if you have one. Haha. But yeah, they are irreplaceable.
Hungarians english is really good
Thank you 🙏
Level pro x1000 😎! Maybe when I get my hands on the euromillions lottery, since I could also use a chiller. 38 to 42°C in the summer it's not easy to keep it fresh at home. The cooler fans are working 14 hours a day 😑
Ops that is very unfortunate. A chiller or a continuous air conditioner would be a big help for sure.
No time (€) for any of those for now 😅. But it really is a must have in the future
👍
Hello. where do you put the dosing hoses, so that they are not visible in the tank?
Great video, maybe if I didnt love doing everything by myself I would invest in this kind of stuff hahaha but great info... by the way what is the name of the snail that eats black brush algae? Because I was trying to look it up but I couldnt find the name of it. 😥
Sure we still do most of the jobs manually, but good to have some options for those cases, where some help needed.
For brush you can use Clithon snails for example.
@@GreenAquaShop thanks a lot, i didnt know how the name was spelled, I will look forward to getting some
You're very welcome.
Good luck for the supply.

this was verry usefull information how it actualy works, cause i am about to make one myself
Sounds good. We've seen some good examples in the DIY field.
If they had a Nitrate sensor that could be attached to it I would definitely get one today, currently I have automated the lights, air stone times, as well as temp control for those hot days using an animus home some smart plugs and temp settings in all 4 of my tanks
I think with the ion director they are heading into this direction 👍
Hi green aqua, i'm subcriber from indonesia, please review some aquascaper from indonesia, they have some tricky and technique for setting wood like nature condition , with an extreme style

Viktor, the Aqua hacker.
Did you ever try JBL Ph controller ? Isn’t it good ?
We've used Dennerle and Aqua Medic in the past for single pH controller function only. These are good, but missing the remote access and management.
Victor looks like a DJ behind his equipment table 😂😂😂
He probably is a better DJ than a presenter 😂 LOL
How high was the temperature on the client tank that Viktor mentioned?
Around 30C. The problem we use mixed plants usually and most of them are sensitive for warm water. For this reason we stick to 25C and under all the time.
Perfecto ❤❤❤
Thank you 👍
Next video idea for aquarium automatization (or not) - water change system: how to make it easy, fast, safe and cheap. 🙌
We have a few videos on the cheap water change way, but would be nice to talk a bit about the other side too. When you do not have to do any water change :) maybe GHL will join us on this topic in the 2nd half of the year.
@@GreenAquaShop got it, found all answers, thank you so much!!!🙏🙏🙏
this is a solution for people who travel extensively.
Superbbbbbb
Thank you 👍

Yeah! Right, Viktor? Haha.
Hope you'll do it too! Cheers!

Finally saltwater automatization is coming to freshwater
It was there, but for some reason never established that much like in the saltwater hobby.
