The movie is based on a place in Malkangiri. Malkangiri is named agter Mallikeswara shiv temple which has roots from satya yuga. Nature has given this place everything. Culturally the people of this land was very rich. But during British time to save little girls from britishers they were having tatoo on their face as well. After independence cong pushed them to missionaries and labeled them as backward adivasi. near Malkangiri Mahendragiri is also there where Bhagwan Parshuram lives. But there is no hindu left in those areas.

Actually this movie is inspired from the real life experience of Dr. Omkar hota.. Though not a biopic. As per interviews of omkar hota.. He was almost at the verge of getting killed being suspected as an informer of police.. So how he managed to build trust among villagers that one time came even the naxlites and the black magicians used to send villagers to him for treatment.. And that particular place of odisha being tribal place through still not affected by missionaries unlike some other tribal districts.. problem is that govt appoints doctors but nobody goes there and not proper audit used to happen this person stayed there and wanted to work.. One of the great Legends K Viswanath sir passed away on 2nd Feb ( on the anniversary of his signature movie Sankarabharanam). All his life he worked on upholding the Indian Arts and Culture. After many decades another Odiya Film DAMAN has been appreciated across the country.
If Odiya Film Industry gets even 10% of the budget of Bollywood Movies, then they can make far better Cinema.

I am from Odisha... It's still underdeveloped..Harsh but True.. In the name of development Govt only invest money on Bhubaneswar,Puri and Cuttack. Apart from these 3 places (include 1 more Rourkela because of Hockey World Cup) tell me anyone know any places of Odisha with their significance?
True govt need to focus on other regions. Then only we can develop in India. We have very high potential in becoming one of the most recognized states of India.
