It’s really sad that limited run has become really greedy and ungrateful to their customers. After doing some research and joining physical game groups on social media outlets I’ve found many other companies including the one you mentioned and I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them . I can’t even get a simple email back from limited run in a timely manner smh …
dude i waited 2 years for a game and it never came. got my refund and learned my lesson. every person i know that pre orders thru them is always dissatisfied.
@@SHUPIRATE1991 I don’t either. People who orders from LRG should do a bit research and realize it’ll take awhile. But for OP’s order to never arrived is quite upsetting. Moreso the point of this video is they messed up his order. Why list something that’s available then not ship it to him. Even after that fact never compensated anything for the screw up. LRG ain’t a tiny company anymore. See the amount of titles they have now, they’re banking. So a little compensation ain’t putting them out of business.
Your story is basically mine. I’ve been ordering about twice a month for a few years and been having nothing but problems lately. Damaged game cases due to crappy packaging and missing several trading cards from my numbered releases, awful email response times, awful production times, DHL shipping times are god awful. I canceled over $450 worth of preorders the other day and told them I’m done with them due to all this nonsense. My one damaged game I returned, they didn’t refund after telling me they got it. This was after I had asked them to send a replacement which never shipped after 3 weeks of waiting. I waited a week for the refund and still nothing. I reached out yet again and days later they said the refund was not going through to my credit card, but they sure as hell weren’t going to tell me. After I had to go beating down their door about it, they asked for my PayPal address to send me a refund there. They really made no effort to save me as a loyal customer. So done. Oh, and don’t worry about the blind boxes. They send their bottom of the barrel random unsold games for the same price as if you would have bought it when preordering.
They are terrible. A lot of the good stuff they release from Japanese developers ends up on playasia way cheaper, sometimes with two games bundled together
FYI....They DO claim if you purchase a newer title with the older games the items WON'T ship until the new title is complete and ready to ship! They DO however recommend on their website to make two separate orders so that you don't have to wait that long for the newer item to be assembled & shipped!
It’s their rise in popularity. They’ve gotten lazy with packaging, shipping updates, and pricier. Games usually would be $25 and MAYBE $30 now you’re lucky to get a game for $40. Crazy.
I remember ordering Valis collector edition back in early 2022. It took over a whole year for it to finally arrive, and to add insult to injury, another game I ordered by them, Save Me Mr Tako, arrived months earlier even though I ordered that later. Granted it was just the game and not a box full of extra stuff, but that was also around the time the whole Kara Lynne thing happened. I'm fortunate all my orders from them came in but I rather not have to keep risking it and waiting just for some niche expensive as hell physical ports when there are better alternatives, like Play Asia.
I ordered through rondo/castlemania for all my retrobit pre orders it took a year or more. This is common for made to order products. You people are spoiled as fuck.
i agree with you about limited run games.i remember when i used to get my stuff within months not years.from what i remember they dont exactly have a warehouse but were renting 2-3 apartments for their business needs.i still have 2 orders out there from them. they used to be good. hopefully when they get around to releasing the 3rd sam and max ultimate collectors edition i can get it from best buy or amazon or somewhere just so i can complete my set
Over a year for my last order. Surprised to find it on my doorstep one day, because they emailed the tracking a week later! Luckily no porch pirates in the area that day, and no rain or snow…
Dealing with this company is definite a toxic abusing relationship when it comes to shipping times and sometimes even bait and switching with what is promised. I feel like my hands are tied as a lot of times this is the only way to purchase a North America release for these games. Yeah sometimes you'll get occasional game that is also released in best buy or amazon. But with the wait time is so absurd by the time these other places get their on hands, I'll will have long forgot about it. And I'm too old to track down and keep up with this stuff.
Stopped ordering from them a year ago. Their stuff takes forever to ship, most of the time it arrives damaged, and sometimes I just wouldn't receive anything. I had to fight with them to receive a replacement. I ultimately cancel all my pre-orders and never looked back.
Last order I placed with LRG was Scott Pilgrim on switch with the soundtrack. Took just shy of 2 years to get it. The whole time the album was available and after less than a year the game was supposed to be too. I e-mailed a couple times, especially because I moved in the time it took, and was met with somewhat short and rude responses. In the meantime I ended up getting a PS5 and was able to buy the PS4 version with all the extras and a much lower price on ebay, which I was able to play for months before my LRG purchased arrived.
I've ordered two things from LR. Both times, they've arrived not as described/pictured. I ordered the deluxe edition of Panzer Dragoon Remake for Switch within hours of the preorder opening. It took 10 months to finally get it, only to discover that they had dropped the Saturn-style manual from the package without any notification. I had to look back at the original website listing to find a tiny note saying that it was no longer included. (They did offer to ship the manual for free, but I had to see that note request it.) Then I ordered a Toki Tori plush. This one took nearly a year to ship, and when it arrived it was clear that they used cheaper materials than the pictures on the product page depicted. I like the idea of smaller games getting physical releases, but the LR way of operating is too frustrating to deal with again.
Man you have some serious patience… can’t believe it took that long to get a few games. I’ve never ordered from them and definitely won’t at this point
I stopped buying games from them right around the time they offered some games for pre-order but the games I wanted were never pre-orders. It was impossible for me to buy a limited game with the bots on their website store checkout. I would hound the website right before they posted the game for sale because I knew the scalpers would buy up all the copies for that particular game right away... and it was a huge inconvenience to drop everything I had to do after work to go on their store at that particular hour of the day. The would have different hours they would sell particular games but I cant not go into work during the day so i would be left to just one time to snatch up that game on their online store front. I would super annoyed that as I added a game instantly when it loaded up on their website and got into the paypal checkout that it would be sold out after I had added it into my cart and hit check out within seconds of the game being posted... This was unacceptable. It's like put more damn copies for sale if you anticipate the games going to be more popular or do another order from the damn factory for another round of that popular game if its popular! They could of kept to the "limited" hipster moniker but it was just stupid that a highly sought after game would be bought out by scalping bots or scalpers also and they never corrected this with their store checkout system or even attempted to do another round of sales of that game in particular to be manufactured. I collect games but I hate that label "game collector" I dont collect games for value, I collect them to play the damn games, and if it was a particular game the developer couldnt get published physically then that's why they went into an agreement with limited run, so make the game more accessible to be bought and not for hipsters who collect games to collect dust, it should be for gamers who play games also. Having to drive out of my city 1 hour one way and waste over 2 hours to buy a game from a scalper slightly priced more then limited run sold it for was annoying. The guy I met was some like senior citizen who didnt even have a passion for games but just flipped comics and video games. This was outrageous considering I was at the checkout with that game added to my cart and nearly processed through paypal. Limited run can go F_U+C:K themselves for wasting a lot of my time. I dont like buying digital media and I avoid it with video games even if it's a great game. There are even pre-order games from limited run I just avoid buying now because they've been cross published so it renders limited bum games useless lol.
I was a customer of theirs since day 1. I have purchased hundreds of titles and stopped for many reasons. First, they are not what they stand for anymore. They use to actually be limited. Now, the majority of their games are pre-order. Second, I just recently received a game that I purchased in December 2021. It took 2 years to receive it. All there games take months even years to receive. Third, the majority of the games I purchased from them (PS4 titles) the disc came loose in the case. Why does this bother me? It bothers me because I'm a collector and dont open any of their titles. I buy the same game digital to play. I brought this up to them, and their response was that its the carrier not them. The issue I have its that I purchase alot of games online from Walmart, Target, Bestbuy, even from overseas like Strictly Limited Run Games, and they do not arrive with the disc loose in the case. Last reason is that they dont care about their customers. You try reaching out to them, and they take days even weeks to response. They lost me as a customer because I will never buy from them again or recommend anyone to them for that matter.
I only buy limited run games once or twice per year when I really enjoyed a game. Recently I had the choice between buying old Castlevania NES/SNES cartridges for an extravagant price or getting the limited run on switch, I chose the latter. But most of what they sell is garbage.
The last games I bought from them was Persona 3 and 4 Golden and I bought those because I never played those games pause they will go great with Persona 5
I was very pissed as I ordered turtles on the switch at lrg i thought they are the only one bringing out a physical release and then i noticed there is just coming a regular release for it. It was soon available all over and i was still waiting for my copy from lrg and paid even much more money for it !
Ordered Trip World for Game Boy, took 10 months to arrive. Terrible quality, pcb is too thick and I can barely insert and remove from an original console due to a death grip, poor cheap bootleg style quality…I can’t even open it to check the pcb due to a non standard gamebit screw used but I doubt it will be a 5volt chip. Not impressed!
I think I started ordering from them at the wrong time, (relatively recently compared to most people from what I can tell). Since ordering, I've read & heard so many negative things that I reckon I won't bother again. My first order was the Castlevania collection convention edition. Apparently the shipping company they use got my parcel mixed up with a completely different company's order & I received no game, but someone else's Batman Returns soundtrack LP!!! Reported it to LRG, but by the time they said they could look into it as being lost in the post, all stock had gone, so I missed out on the game & had to get a standard copy from ebay for a higher price than it'd have cost me if LRG's courier had managed to stick the right label on the right package. My second (& I think my last) order was for Radiant Silvergun, back in October last year. Having received an email from LRG saying there will be a delay while they add in an alternative soundtrack, God knows when (if?) that will ever arrive...
I just don't like how long they take. Also sometimes their games also get released in the Asian Market on sites like play asia. For example the grandia 1 and 2 collection is on play asia in english.
I live in UK and super rare usually received in 4 days. There seems to be a hold up with the ps4 / 5 games, not yet sent weeks later . I order stuff from Limited Run and it arrives a year and 3 months later. Why.
@@thegerm574 have also got plenty of games from 'stricktly limited' from Germany. There can be long waits for their special editions but standard games are ready in 4-5 months and they let you know when they will arrive on the site before.
Hey Germ! I know LRG have been trying to turn around orders faster. Your situation with the January sale of already produced games is ridiculous. I ordered at that time as well and received my items in 2 different packages but all arrived within a reasonable time. I like the way Super Rare operates where they produce a limited quantity of a game title upfront and then open the ordering process. They are able to fulfill orders in a timely manner.
Totally Agree...LRG is not what it used to be...i ordered games before and in 2 to 3 months it arrived (im from Colombia) but last game i ordered with them Dragon star Varnir for Switch has not been sent yet. and i ordered it back on July of 2021. 2 YEARS WAITING and counting.
2nd thing.... The value for collectible edition is awful- it used to be you got an AUDIO CD, Stickers, cards, posters, nice box or something... for an exter 25-30 bux..now that only gets you a box, and posters - 30 extra bux for a collectors box and some posters ? who are you kidding LRG ? Lazy and greedy
I simply stopped ordering as much from limited run because of the long wait times and too many mediocre games. I never had items lost but yeah their customer support is a joke. Even bestbuy got sick of them and the long times to get orders. Bestbuy may have stopped ordering from them.
I’ve ordered games from Limited Run since they started and never had a problem. Probably close to 100 games. They give updates on production and customer service has been flawless. I know everyone wants instant gratification and delivery but that’s always an option.
Your video and the comments have made me really anxious. I purchased the prehistoric edition of the Jurassic Park SNEs games, and it was really expensive. So now as a new customer i hope that I won’t have the same experience as you, and everybody in the comment section.
That collection looks very cool. As long as your patient, you’ll get the items you ordered. How long that will take is what no one will ever know. Check out Super Rare games. They have some cool limited release games that ship pretty quick
I have always tried to avoid buying from them, i heard of customers having to wait a couple years for their products. I understand stuff takes time but i dont feel customers should be charged years in advance products, I thought after the company was purchased by a large company (can't remember the name of the company that purchased them) they'd have more money to invest into the company and possibly put them into contact with a better distributor. I did finally break my rule and purchased the High on Life Collectors edition, i hated having to but for people like us who collect physical media we have no choice.
I have learned over time preordering things is usually a recipe for disappointment. Your particular situation is even more frustrating I would assume. I like some of the limited run products, but I just get them through intermediary sources. Usually costs a bit more, but not always. I also have to try to keep my frustration to a minimum.🤣😂
My one and only time ordering from them was such a frustrating experience that I never used them again, and would never recommend them to anyone. I was so excited for the deluxe Streets of Rage 4. In between when I ordered it to when it shipped, I moved to a different city. I notified them of the change, and it got sent to the old address. Their customer service was so rude and useless, with their big “not our problem” energy and I never got a refund.
I haven’t had this issue yet but have had many other different issues with them. Good choice in games. I have it as well. I love mindless Beat ‘Em Ups!
I bought a single big purchase from them just to try them out had to wait more than a year. Just got an email early August saying they're going to start shipping the game out soon. It's nearly the end of September and nothing yet. This will be my last purchase from them.
I still but from them but, it's very few now as I'll only buy games I'm really interested in such as the Konami shoot em up bundle and the Castlevania games. Other than those types of games, I'm done as it just takes so long that I forget I even ordered it. It's also kind of sad that they won't cancel our update your orders if it still in the pre-order stage. For example, I pre-ordered Streets of Rage 4, regular edition. A couple of days later, I decided I really want the limited edition so I emailed them to see if they can upgrade it and just charge me the extra money I owe. I never even got a reply from them. I can see if it's past cut off but, not if it's still in the pre-order stage. A good friend of mine ordered 1 game and that was all he could take as it took almost 2 years for him to get his game. As for Super Rare Games, I really like them a lot but, sadly it's LRG that releases most of the games I really enjoy playing.
Ordered Anodyne 2 from LRG July 2nd, 2023. Status says "now shipping" but an alert on the order says it has not shipped. Says their warehouse is waiting for all iems to arrive. Okaaaayy... It has been in "now shipping" status since December 19th, 2023. It is January 27th, 2024 now. Wtf?
I was one of those idiot’s that ordered a few limited editions from when this all started unfortunately. I just gave up on them and I still haven’t gotten the fowl taste in mouth and my expectations for them was atrocious and I still have yet to find anything that would make me compelled enough to order anything else from! It is to bad really because I had high hopes from them.
I don't keep up with the release news. Usually by the time I find out something is available on Limited Run Games. It is already sold out. So I've never had the pleasure of buying directly from them.
Definitely agree 100% I had pre-ordered Zombies Ate My Neighbors/Ghoul Patrol Switch version a few years ago. I did it a week before the pre-orders closed and after nearly ten months it was finally shipped and that was after multiple inquires about the order status to begin with. If Limited Run is my only choice for a physical copy of a game I want I'll usually wait until I'm able to get it from Best Buy or Amazon. At least that way I'm sure to get the game within a week or two still never ordering from LR directly ever again.
Never had any issue with LRG. I ordered with them for +5 years. I heard about postal service is really bad in US. They just drop packages in your front yard, wide open, for anyone to pick up. But that doesn't justify issues you mention. We have a cool mail order service here in the netherlands for heavy metal clothes and music called Large Popmerchandising. They are 25 years around and their customer service declined,. But i think a lot has to do with finding good staff for your company. Again, this is no excuse, but surely a struggle for many companies nowadays.
@@thegerm574 You can't say that for sure, for all the negative comments in this sections, there might be 10x more satisfied customers, but as long as they don't comment on TH-cam video's like this, you can never say this for sure. Don't make statements you can't verify. I do understand your stand-alone case, and the others in these comments.
@@jengelenmJEN you know nothing and they have way more issues then 10x satisfied customers! You are Wrong! LRG's slow response to solve issues is Trash! Facts!
I odered once from limited games, was told sround a month in August in 2023, nothing, then i get an email saying there aiming for January 2024 now. Im sure i might get it sometime never. Never ever again will i shop there, they treat customers like garbage.
I've reduced a lot of my LRG purchases. I remember them before they became super big an dhad to race to get an prder in because they only made lile 1000-3000 copies or some shit. Getting the Night Trap retro box set, Ys Origins set and the Outlast Collector's Edition was def a fight...then they changed and no longer had to Black Friday rush to the store...but they're at a point where they are too big for their britches and have WAY too muxh they try to work on. I also hate their pricing now and how their Collector's Editions are just boxes within boxes within boxes with very little in terms of worthwhile items. But yeah they just sell spots for hundreds of games and before these really start being made, a hundred more new games are offered...and so they just CONSTANTLY are struggling to not drown under all the unfinished promised games. It's really sloppily done.
Damn man, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I'll steer clear from ordering directly from them. I don't know how they get their hands on some of these IPs though, I mean... they're bringing back Tomba. That means too much to me, I can't ignore it.
I ordered PC Big Box Games worth about over 1k$ last year and not one of the 9 items has been shipped so far. Im starting to get a bit suspicious. What is taking them so long?
If you order CEs or LEs they take over a year to arrive because they don't ship until all items that come in the box have been manufactured and ready to go and then even when they arrive at their warehouse they take another few weeks to ship them out
I just bought the Castlevania Advance Collection for 84.99 and this is the first time I ordered from them. I really hope my experience with them is not as bad as others have said. I understand it takes time to get the product made but I saw that it’ll take 6-8 months to get it…guess I’ll be playing the waiting game
If a company like LRG can't release a physical copy around the same time as the digital version, than it's a no-go for me. The Castlevana Advance collection came out in Sept 2021...It's now 2023, and it will take probably another 6 months after pre-orders closed to even get the thing, for a game that was originally intended to release digitally 3 years ago. :P What drives me up the wall is that i already i paid full price for the digital version. I'm not paying double, or more(in total) just to receive the same exact game i already have, that's finally coming out physically in another 6 months. I'm out. If i can't get a physical copy day one than it's a no-go.
I'm done with them. The Rocket Knight Adventures I bought arrived a month after everybody else got theirs. And whoever they got to deliver the package, didn't even bother to knock or ring the doorbell and I was in all day. They didn't even bother to attempt to hide it by the car. Just in clear view of everyone. I didn't realise at first it was from Limited Run. Just a plain cardboard box. The print on the cover art on the complete edition looked bad. Like they zoomed in too far printed it and called it a day. Also I recently read this: "Items pre-ordered after April 1, 2023, will no longer contain free trading cards" How cheap can you be? And at the prices that they charge?
i waited 2 days shy of 1 year for my shantae pirates curse collectors edition for the ps5, after that i give up on them, no more limited run ordering for me.
In some cases I prefer just to buy from a reseller on eBay. I live in Australia and I waited 3 years for my game which was Skullgirls 2nd Encore and they emailed me saying it's now out of stock and you can't get it 😂. I know resellers charge more but I find it's not always too expensive than getting it straight from limited run especially here in Australia where LGR charges a ton for shipping. I just try to think that the extra $30 or $50 is so you don't have to deal with LGR BS and I get it in 3 or 5 days not 1 or 2 years
I'm in the exact same spot as you right now, hundreds of dollars of orders tied up with them, useless copy and paste emails that tell me nothing, 1 year and a half so far for my Castlevania SOTN Ultimate Edition, I guess I have to wait over 2 years!
Did you ever get worms Armageddon? Mines has been pending for two months saying it’s ready but hasn’t been shipped. I open a ticket and they gave me a dumb response saying it just wasn’t shipped yet.
Dude, I know how you feel, I've only ordered from them once and it was a pre-order at that and took literally a little over a year to get here, so I totally know the feeling man
I only bought 1 thing from them and it was that scott pilgrim collectors set. Which took forever to arrive and was delayed like twice I think. I didn't want to deal with them on something new after that. Oh and their customer service sucks. Better chance of talking to a dead person at cemetery than getting someone to respond to an email at LRG.
Well, thanks for the video bub, i was just looking to place my first order fod shantae advance, but if their this bad, i won't even bother. I can already feel the itch a decade from now wishing i had that cart though haha
Still waiting on Switch Limited Run #140: Contra Anniversary Collection Ultimate Edition ordered June 2nd 2022 and I would be so mad if they said sorry we don't got it now as scalpers price it way too high Have not tried superraregames but I have tried Premium Edition Games which are way above limited run support wise they will even combine orders for you to save on shipping but limited run says no even tho it takes years for it to ship and should be no issue.
I’d rather jus buy the games they sell digital tbh it’s not worth the wait and half the time the game shows up a year and a half later and I have no interest in it anymore tbh so digital is a better option… ( and I don’t like digital at all so if I’m sayin this that’s sayin somethin… )
Howdy! When you buy games from outside US, is there customs fees? I just pre ordered Tomb Raider from LR. Hope I don't have a bad experience. Should be shipping in Oct. Thanks dude!
I only order from LRG when they're offering something I _REALLY_ want. For example, they recently announced they'll be making physicals of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden and I've already preordered the Grimoire Edition for P3P and waiting for them to put the P4G preorders up. I'm debating whether or not I'll buy the collectors edition for P4G or not, simply because I dont really feel good paying $400 NZD for probably a mediocre collectors edition and wait 10,000 years for it to get here. That being said, Persona 4 Golden is my favorite game of all time, so it will really depend if I see any value in it. If not, I'll settle for the next step down like I did with P3P, as I'm not rich. But throughout the years ive been following LRG, I've really only bought 3 other games from them. They were the Clannad collector's edition (my favorite anime and visual novel of all time), Samurai Jack standard edition and TMNT Shredders Revenge standard and radical edition in which that just arrived like a week ago. But overall, I don't like supporting LRG, due to their anti consumer behavior. But if I see a game I want, then I'll reluctantly cough up the cash for it.
It's a shame it's come to this, but there are no other options if you want physical games. I'm going on well over 2 years waiting for an order from Special Reserve Games. It's not just LRG. I've discovered many of my favorite games of the last generation because of LRG, so I can't be too upset about wait times.
It's funny to see the principle of you can have a really great product but if you have really lousy customer service you kill it in action with limited run games and their poor customer service
So let me get this right, you aren't too familiar with made to order items? You do not know the manufacturing process (I am a factory worker and its way more complicated than, hey go make thing and it's operated under a que system thats planned out months to year in advance) You ordered a lot of things and can't remember them and you ordered a bulk pre order of different things that will be done at different times? You are upset it took time to get to you.
@@thegerm574 Me ordering a custom manifold for a srt8 jeep. The company makes lots of these. 1 year manufacturing wait. Oh, there was a manufacturing problem. Wait another year. Me ordering low production output firearm parts. over a year now. You people are spoiled and don't pay attention. You also have no idea about the shipping and manufacturing process. We plan out manufacturing upto a year in advance of actually making it. We also have to wait other factories to make their stuff and kinda hope they don't mess up. Oh they messed up the boxes and the product doesn't fit? Well we have to ship all that back and wait for a fix and we don't push other customers out of the que.
@@Wolfstanus Why should a customer give a shit about the logistics of the manufacturing process? That's up to the company to deal with and should happen behind the scenes. Waiting 2 years for a car part? How can you even assume you'll own the car after that time has elapsed? Or in the case of a Jeep, that the head gasket hasn't blown and you've given up on it.
So for my own curiosity, persona 4 golden is coming out on hard copy and I was wondering if that just buying the game without anything else is remotely alright because I'm really interested
Hey brother! I don't buy from them or from a lot of other limited companies like them. I can preorder for the next month, and if I'm crazy I can pre order for the next 2 months... but a year though? You're gonna take my money real quick and leave in the dark for a year? No way. Now it's either those companies change their business model or it's not gonna last long. Times are changing and money is harder to come by all around the world, people arent gonna give away their money for much more longer! If anyone is reading this : don't be too quick to give your money to those companies, that's the only way to educate them and to have better products for our video games in the long run. Cheers!
my issue with them is the cards! If you order one of their games you get a card as a throw in but if you you order like 6 games in one order you might get 5-6 cards, 1 or nothing! I get that if you order that many game since they don't all release at the same time it may take a while- so one game that has already been released won't ship for 6 months if its on the same order as a game that release later (they all ship at once) but i guess what is happening is they run out of cards for certain games and by the time the thing ships you are on the losing side. Can't they just set the thing aside with its card until the full order is fulfilled ? Kinda disappointing to wait (in some cases) a year to get an order of 8 games and there are ZERO cards in the box. -
My first ever order just came from Limited Run, in good condition too, but i think ive rooted those damn people's problem, they really only prioritze the popular games, other small little indie games, they could absolutely give two shits about, its kind of ridiculous since all of the games they produce should be prioritize, since they are selling them and they also hold on to your money for up to a goddamn fuckin year, damn reduculous
i never bought anything to LRG but im curious, you said you expent thousand on this store. Speaking in general, what do you think about the quality of their collectors editions?, cheap or good materials, are really well made?, Are they worth what you pay?. Just curious because probably one day ill buy something to them. Thanks!, i hope you get your games soon.
I stopped last year but planned on starting up again, until they fired that one chick for having an independent thought. Some trans chick that looks like Eric from the Tim and Eric Show Great Job, got all but hurt because she liked a comedian and boom... they fired her. The trans chick that complained seriously looked like Eric, when he dresses up in drag for skits. I thought it was him at first. We seriously live in a clown world that suppresses free thought.
I have ordered two items from them mega man wily wars for and TMNT switch radical collection. Yes they take extremely long but they always delivered. I guess there only good when it comes to collector editions.
I spent $500 between sonicxshadow generations with the physical preorder stuff from them as well as lolipop chainsaw repop cheerleader edition which the physical stuff I've only gotten sonicxshadow in yesterday I'm thinking of suing LRG
Hi. I ordered Castlevania Advance Collection from Limited Run directly and they sent an email update saying it will ship 1st quarter next year. This is fine but on Ebay people are already selling it for much higher price. How did they get it already? And why haven't they shipped mine? I never ordered from them before and i dont think i will again especially after hearng your story which also makes me worried. Thanks for the video.
I was done with limited run after I was waiting so long for a release just to see that email delete had copies in hand before me who preordered day one. Fuck them. I was also pissed when I preordered toejam and earl, saw physicals from limited run in Best Buy before I got my preorder, and then the preorder items quality was shit when I received it.
I stopped buying from LTR and got refunds. Between what happened with Lynn and the quality of the extra stuff decreasing, I'm out. Besides, a lot of those games are available by other companies. For example, Shedders Revenge was also published by Signature Edition. I preordered the speical edition in May 2022 and got the special edition in early August 2022. First Press is even worse. I order the Sydney game during covid, and never got it. I finally got a refund this pass May. I still don't think that game is out yet. I do recommened Super Rare and Signature Edition (they are based in the UK).
They are taking FOREVER with my replacement!!! I was told it would ship out on next support batch.. I opened case August 18th and now its October 23rd. WTF is taking so long to ship a replacement and it took until october 2nd to get approved for the replacement but still not shipped out.... Wtf LRG, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!! They closed case too and I had to just reopen asking why it is not shipped out yet for a replacement!!!!!!! Getting very mad at this slow replacement order after already waiting patiently over a year for production
When LRG says "Forever Physical" they mean you'll be waiting forever to get your physical.
So true!
You aren't lying lol
That was a good one, yet it wasn't a joke it was a true statement.
Bet you’re one of those people who would happily pay on credit but moan when you have to pay upfront for things like games from LRG…
But you can’t claim your money back?? How many people suffers this.?
It’s really sad that limited run has become really greedy and ungrateful to their customers. After doing some research and joining physical game groups on social media outlets I’ve found many other companies including the one you mentioned and I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them . I can’t even get a simple email back from limited run in a timely manner smh …
Yep agree. I think they got to big to fast and can’t handle it.
agree
dude i waited 2 years for a game and it never came. got my refund and learned my lesson. every person i know that pre orders thru them is always dissatisfied.
I’m with you. I ordered Worms almost 2 years ago
I’ve heard they take a long time but 2 yrs? Wow. Mighty pissed that it never came either. 🤦🏻♂️
I have ordered literally over 100 titles from them. I expect to wait and every item has been delivered. I guess I am more patient than others
Over 75 games, never had a problem.
I stopped doing business with LRG a couple years ago, when they fired their employee for “wrong think”.
Haha that wasn't even a year ago yet.
Ditto. Haven't so much as looked at their offerings since that debacle.
Wrong think?
I remember when I ordered Gris from them, paid a small fortune, a year later some other company releases it for a fraction of the cost
Yes but they charge enough for shipping…
they probably have customers who have died before getting items
OMG lmao
I think that it will be my case, I'm really ill rn and my game will come in 6 months
I think my copy took that long too.
I stopped ordering from them too long time ago.
I ordered through rondo/castlemania for all my retrobit pre orders it took a year or more. This is common for made to order products. You people are spoiled as fuck.
Limited run games is trash ……
i agree with you about limited run games.i remember when i used to get my stuff within months not years.from what i remember they dont exactly have a warehouse but were renting 2-3 apartments for their business needs.i still have 2 orders out there from them. they used to be good. hopefully when they get around to releasing the 3rd sam and max ultimate collectors edition i can get it from best buy or amazon or somewhere just so i can complete my set
Over a year for my last order. Surprised to find it on my doorstep one day, because they emailed the tracking a week later! Luckily no porch pirates in the area that day, and no rain or snow…
Lucky guy. I got a tracking # but it never shipped
And I'm too old to track down and keep up with this stuff.
and to cap it off, i got charged custom fees on top of that, i did end up getting that back finally
one of the worst companies in the gaming space, I avoid them as much as possible
So sad I remember that. And to this day I still see copy’s at Best Buy
I get it man wait until you see the next video I’m making. One of my last items was finally shipped.
Agreed! I also ended my purchase run with them too. I waited almost two years for one game. Pathetic
I like how your done with them but are super happy about almost every game you got.
I was always happy about the quality of the product just happy with the customer service.
Did you see they are making Plumber don’t wear ties. What a joke.
Why.
Lol. It’s just ridiculous. I’m now just going to support Super Rare.
I ordered a game last August and still haven't received it. No refunds. Yeah they blow
Same issue here. I ordered the Worms Armageddon game and it arrived 2 years later. It was the longest preorder I made in my life.
1-2 years plus waiting on a game is hardly instant gratification
I've been waiting for my carrion vhs limited edition for 9 months.
Thanks the heads up on super rare games selling PS4-5 games.
I don't keep up with the release news. Usually by the time I find out something is available on Limited Run Games. It is already sold out. So I've never had the pleasure of buying directly from them.
I Love Shopping with Amazon Prime
Your lucky you haven’t had issues. I wish I didn’t. Read the comments it’s crazy they are horrible at fixing things.
Thanks for the warning. Was tempted to order, but I'll skip it completely.
I just bought a couple limited run games and it says it’s coming in August
Damn man, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I'll steer clear from ordering directly from them. I don't know how they get their hands on some of these IPs though, I mean... they're bringing back Tomba. That means too much to me, I can't ignore it.
I get it man. I’m sure you will get it.
Well, now I just hope none of their practices messes up with the Carbon Engine games they announced...
I ordered PC Big Box Games worth about over 1k$ last year and not one of the 9 items has been shipped so far. Im starting to get a bit suspicious. What is taking them so long?
If you order CEs or LEs they take over a year to arrive because they don't ship until all items that come in the box have been manufactured and ready to go and then even when they arrive at their warehouse they take another few weeks to ship them out
The best way to get LRG is to buy them from VGP which is a much better experience with free ship.
What drives me up the wall is that i already i paid full price for the digital version.
Also I recently read this:
"Items pre-ordered after April 1, 2023, will no longer contain free trading cards"
How cheap can you be? And at the prices that they charge?
i waited 2 days shy of 1 year for my shantae pirates curse collectors edition for the ps5, after that i give up on them, no more limited run ordering for me.
Check Best Buy
In some cases I prefer just to buy from a reseller on eBay. I live in Australia and I waited 3 years for my game which was Skullgirls 2nd Encore and they emailed me saying it's now out of stock and you can't get it 😂.
I know resellers charge more but I find it's not always too expensive than getting it straight from limited run especially here in Australia where LGR charges a ton for shipping. I just try to think that the extra $30 or $50 is so you don't have to deal with LGR BS and I get it in 3 or 5 days not 1 or 2 years
I bought a product from them 1.5 years ago. Still waiting for this day, and my money 🤣😂🤣🤣 still waiting for it also.
Nope still don’t have it. But they shipped TMNT
@@thegerm574 well at least im not the only one waiting on it.
Dude, I know how you feel, I've only ordered from them once and it was a pre-order at that and took literally a little over a year to get here, so I totally know the feeling man
I just pre-ordered Alien Isolation thru them, because I absolutely love that game. First order ever with them, and I am getting very nervous.
I thought about getting it myself. I’m just going to wait to see it on the shelf at Best Buy.
How long did it take the 3 things you bought from them? I've been looking at persona 4 golden too since ive got the physical for p5r and gonna get p3r
I live in Europe and the task and the shipping cost makes games twice the price!
It's a shame it's come to this, but there are no other options if you want physical games. I'm going on well over 2 years waiting for an order from Special Reserve Games. It's not just LRG. I've discovered many of my favorite games of the last generation because of LRG, so I can't be too upset about wait times.
Try Super Rare they come in about 2 weeks.
Play Asia NO
It's funny to see the principle of you can have a really great product but if you have really lousy customer service you kill it in action with limited run games and their poor customer service
Id just buy limited run games from retail not on the actual limited run site
IM DONE TOO!!!! My order took 11/2 years to get.. and they screwed up my order.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
They really suck. Lied about Quake having a manual and take an eternity to get anything produced but are very fast to take your money.
So true
So let me get this right, you aren't too familiar with made to order items?
You do not know the manufacturing process (I am a factory worker and its way more complicated than, hey go make thing and it's operated under a que system thats planned out months to year in advance)
You ordered a lot of things and can't remember them and you ordered a bulk pre order of different things that will be done at different times?
You are upset it took time to get to you.
2 years to get a preorder? Yeah I would say that’s unreasonable.
Scott Pilgrim versus the world took two years for me to receive it two years I could’ve got a college degree with that time
So for my own curiosity, persona 4 golden is coming out on hard copy and I was wondering if that just buying the game without anything else is remotely alright because I'm really interested
You can´t have ordered Freedom Finger for Switch at LRG. The Release came out at Super Rare Games...
Sometimes they release the same games. I got it on PS4 from LRG
i never bought anything to LRG but im curious, you said you expent thousand on this store.
Speaking in general, what do you think about the quality of their collectors editions?, cheap or good materials, are really well made?, Are they worth what you pay?.
Just curious because probably one day ill buy something to them.
Thanks!, i hope you get your games soon.
Here watch this. th-cam.com/video/x57GP_0jpXQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NwO42xHYbr7fR61G
I saw an interview with the creator, I'm wondering if youve seen it and if you still feel this way? Just curious thanks.
I just got a notification that the TMNT collection will be delivered Saturday
Companies like that forced me to shop on Amazon. Amazon is winning because other stores sucks!
Says he will never order from limited run again then proceeds to say unless it's soemthing he really wants...lol
@koolaidbomber The Signature Edition TMNT revenge is WACK and the LRG CE is waaaay better!
Yep sounds like your dealing with Limited Run
