Those yellow things on the front bumper are only for vehicle shipping to protect the paint. Leaving them on is like leaving the foam packaging on a new TV.
@@hakeador4000 when I see those things it reminds me of that Key and Peele skit where they are seeing who can have the newest hat. Starts with leaving the brim sticker on on ands with the whole display case on their head 😂
@@MSpeedThree i know what you mean lol. i know the the bumper guards are very divisive, some love them some hate them. i like the contrast between the yellow guards and the black on black paint, what can i say :)
Hellcat lifters are just non-mds lifters which is what every stick car comes with. The "better" style lifters he refers to have an oiling "pin hole" on the side of the body of the lifters.
Fast Lane Performance previously installed a stage 3 kit on my 2015 Challenger and it hit 500 HP on the dyno with year very old gas in the tank. The car is unbelievably fast and has been reliable over the last 1.5 years. Their tune has been fantastic as it has been very drivable but sounds mean as hell.
The MDS lifters are not the reason for lifter failure. You see lifter failure on non-mds lifters in manual Challengers as well. While the MDS lifters can fail sooner, it is not the lifter themselves that are the problem. The problem is due to the factory oil pump not having enough oil pressure at idle. This is why Police cruisers and fleet vehicles are notorious for lifter failure due to high idle times. The only was to correct this problems with a Hellcat oil pump or a high volume oil pump. The Hellcat lifters are no different than the regular non-mds lifters.
@@jtc1964x why would anyone but a cop really need to idle for extended periods your either driving or you're there ? I mean gas is still $4 for 91 octane ...I mean it is fun to flaunt my wealth to the neighbors by idling away a few gallons ;-)
@yerwrng It is NOT about just idling. Please learn about this topic. Talk to the hemi engine builders, they ALL replace the crap MDS lifters. ALL of them. It is a stupid design that hurts the engine's durability for MARGINAL MPG gains. It was a mistake. My non-MDS 392 is a beast and runs much smoother
We've had 5 5.7 hemi one pre vvt the rest vvt up to 200k on them no lifter failures . Maybe stop idling, change the oil and filter sooner than 7500-10k and run proper spec 5w20 full synthetic ??? ... If this were the huge issue you're claiming i think in 5 vehicles all ran for almost 200k we would have had some issue ? I think this is alot to do with how the owner runs the vehicle lots of low rpm idling and low oil pressure and extended oil service .
I was searching for a tuner and found you just down the road I have a 2022 widebody scat pack and want as much reliable horsepower as possible how much do you think I can get to the wheel with the automatic transmission that comes stock?
We offer the cam only portion of the package as well. However the headers and cold air intake make a big difference with the cam. You have to remember, the cam adds more airflow, and it requires more air to come in, and leave the engine. That’s where the cold air intake and headers come into play.
@@FastLanePerformance gotcha. I have a 2018 Ram with 6.4 hemi with 44k miles and I can start to hear a tick. I have changed the oil every 3k and used Amsoil. I would want a high volume oil pump installed at the same time to improve oil flow.
You can just order the cam kit directly from Comp Cams, but then you still need it installed and tuned. If you ever plan on headers in the future it's easier (and less costly) to have a shop do everything at once. The JLT intake you could do yourself but it's not going to save much money , so overall the stage 3 package is not a bad deal.
The MDS vs Non-MDS failures are more of a wash, it's more of a QA issue, better materials should have been used in making the Mopar lifters. I've seen about an equal number of both failing.
What shorty headers you use for the 5.7 jeep grand cherokee? Does cats and mid pipe stay stock? Mds and vvt both go away? Any codes show up during emissions testing?
@@FastLanePerformance yeah saw it last night, that's a pretty good package deal there. All done for you, only problem, I gotta make some trips from Texas lol

The chin spoiler/air dam isn’t painted. It’s just black plastic

Why do all that work and keep the stock oil pump? Bonkers to me....

So why does my 5.7 feel slower after max effort can and 3k srt torque converter? Is it the tune that doesn’t have it dialed in where it should be?
I’d just want the cam and lifters and new valve springs and push rods. Fuck all the add on pork BS to pad the bill.

should also replace the harmonic balance. trust me

Scatpack or hellcat
My only question is why do y’all keep the banana peels on 🤔 they are literally only there to protect from scraping when off loading from the truck.
Lol we didn’t put them on, and it’s not our call to take them off. That’s up to the customer!

Buy a manual no mds !
What exhaust setup is that
I think we can both tell that is not the stock cat back lol. Maybe a mid delete?
Auto comes with the vvt. Manual comes without
Multi displacement, not variable cam timing is deleted with the manual.
