As I've gotten older I've begun to appreciate things like a suit or dress that really compliments an actor and their character and this movie and Oppenheimer both inspired me to really explore fashion in some new directions. Turns out I really like a good pair of pleated trousers! I love how cool everyone in this movie looks, even during scenes like the airport turnstile when Neil is wearing those dark trousers, navy blue shirt, gas mask and tactical vest. Great breakdown!
This is incredibly professional and entertaining. Nolan and his wardrobe department often rival the quality and style of the threads seen in 007 films. Thank you.
4:16 - I always loved Pattinson's suit here. I got one made this year which was basically identical, just in flannel. Single button, shawl lapel, high-waisted trousers, love it!
I am HUGE James Bond fan. Particularly, Daniel Craig. I finally saw this film last week while it was 1 month back in theaters. Loved it! And I love that the lead is a spy, who’s a black man… without THAT being its focus. He just, is. Chefs kiss 👌🏾. Thanks for the great style analysis 😎
I love the way you assume a certain intelligence in your audience. Thank you for showing me a film I ought to see. The clothes are very nice for modern. I must say I cannot abide polo shirts anywhere other than when on a horse.
3:38 Minor correction. Terence Stamp is an English actor with a very distinct, charismatic face. You were thinking of Terence Young, late British film director.
The main character of the movie ''Wrath of Man'' portrayed by Jason Statham would also be nice for this type of videos, if I may suggest. Most of the time he is wearing a police outfit. But, when wearing casuals, you can see that he is very neat, clearly understands the basics of man's fashion, and wears it comfortably. Great video, i really got inspired.
wow wow wow, i'm a girl that has never been interested in suits but this video was so entertaining!! i would love to see this with more of your favourite movies!!
It's an odd one, Bond as a film character is already pretty incredibly stretchy/stretched. In all fairness, I think the sad fact is that our culture is not quite at the point where racism wouldn't have been an issue for a black Bond in his youth. And as such the question of whether or not to address that point has to be discussed. I can certainly understand people in charge considering it a minefield... That said, I think the evidence shows Bond fans can be very forgiving of the occasional misstep! We're still watching after all these years. But you wouldn't want to offend anyone ofc- that's just bad form. I would love to hear your thoughts (or anyone else's)
Good evening! I have one question, What is the pattern that is on neil's suit jacket in this timeframe: 5:51 I've been searching for it on the internet for a long time, but i just couldn't find it.
I'm afraid I don't know. It's not a standard pattern. I suspect it's most likely a unique fabric bought by the designer to make up some of the impressive suits for the supposedly millionaire shots. She also bought some vintage fabrics to make suits from.
Please discuss the magnificent Mark Strong's Hani Salaam's suits in Body of Lies (starring also: DiCaprio, Crowe, by Ridley Scott, 2008). To me, the best suits ever look in a man!

Thanks. And yes I think Nolan puts a lot of work into his wardrobe. Definitely rivals Bond for quality.

Well done. I do want to get a shawl lapel suit at some stage.

Thanks for your comment. Yes it is a great character and David is great as the lead. I wish they could do a Tenet 2 but that would probably be absurd.
The suits John David Washington wears in Tenet look better than a lot of the slimfit suits Daniel Craig wears.
love tenet so much!
This week I'm turning 25 and I think it's time I start learning about suits. Excellent video, loved your deep insight.
Congratulations on turning 25. And enjoy the experience of choosing your suit. There's a lot of great advice here on TH-cam.

Yes indeed. Slip of the tongue. Though I do like Terrance Stamp also.
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits Terence Stamp could have been a great Bond villain!

Not a bad idea. I really liked that movie.

Thank you so much. That's an amazing compliment. I'm doing Inception next with Leonard DiCaprio.
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits inception is such a great movie! i’ll be waiting in anticipation!! :)
Just found your channel, bloody great video mate 10/10!! Love the suits in tenet 🤌
Thanks
Good video and good film. Love them both.
Thank you so much.
great analysis and a lot of information, almost as mind-bending as the movie itself :)
I was not expecting that. Thanks.
Well done video, sir
Thank you very much.
Director of Dr. No, FRWL and Thunderball was Terence Young, not Stamp.
Wow, you're right. Slip of the tongue. Terence Stamp is a great actor but not the director.
0:17 as a Blackman I appreciate your honestly 😂😂😂

They always frequently forget the pocket square. 🙄
Is he wearing polos under those jackets/blazers?

I don't think I've ever seen it so I'll check that out. Thanks for the tip.
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits Thank you 🙏
Love this film, though it took 5 attempts before I fully understood it!!
