why do we put quality on our arsonists? I thought quality only affected its command ability, not anything else? unless its just lying about what it does?
Quality and gem level being so strong for minions made me want to do a minion Gemling Merc, but the amount of wasted space before you can even reach any meaningful minion nodes is so painful

I recently started a minion build with Warrior as well. You don't have to play with melee skills and can start with minions right away. But in my case, I acted like a shield for my minions until I killed King of the Mist (with minions). The gameplay will still be slow but don't have to deal with the horror of melee (mace) skills.
There is no need to use Warrior skills for initial levelling up. The poison skill of the skeleton sniper and the explosion damage caused by the flame wall are very fantastic.
for lvling you could use crossbows (rampart raptor even better) with explosive grenade> flash grenade till you get raging spirits.... raizqt made a video about this whats the benefit of going warrior instead of witch ? i just started minion build yesterday

This is exactly what i was looking for, Have you considered some fire damage nodes for the flamewall, raging spirit, arsonist and main attack? or cast on minion death on flame wall?
How about Gemling summoner? Can get the quality and +gem level notables, then the 3 additional skill slots and +1% max resist for every 4 supports of each attribute type to stack up max resists. Or if the gem quality & level aren't good enough to be worth taking, then you can just go raw STR on every passive and grab the notable to have gem req satisfied by highest attribute and doubled inherent bonus from STR (which I'm assuming is the +2 life per STR -> +4 life per STR) and go giga life and max resists.

Loads of survivability if needed which is what a summoner wants, and 50% boost of small nodes is by far the strongest single ascendancy point in the game.
My warrior necro is going old school skeletons and working very good so far. Basically a ton of AOE dot effects and using waves of skeleton warriors that explode then you use that last gasp on 1 set of warriors And regular damage on the other set of warriors which when they are all nuked half will die and the other half fight for 4 seconds which usually lets them all respawn over and over without really loosing blocks. The build path I'm looking to do cam either respawn them quickly or hit for massive damage but I never played poe before. Hoping it turns out alright. Right now archers range let's the warriors attack off screen which keeps mobs from chasing my character at times since I'm off screen. As cor doorways they do block up but dor me that's a bonus because it keeps the monsters from breaking through while my AOE damage destroys them and spreads.
I ran warrior on Day 1 of opening and went straight to using minions as first gem. I stopped at Act 3 due to lack of damage then made a witch. I was still working on 2nd ascendancy and i started off with taking all the +5 nodes until I hit the minion nodes. VERY Painful leveling experience.
It is always interesting to see the different preferences. I, personally, find minion builds extremely boring, ghazzy thrives in them. I rather auto-attack and dodge roll all day instead of just running around, not doing anything and letting my minions kill things. Only thing worse for me are totem builds 😂
The infernalist points aren't that super strong and titan geht 50% inc on every small passive node. Beside that it could be that a titan is more tanky then a witch that makes it a viable choice for hc later on
@@madenfresserlein well there is potential later on for a CI build based on "altered flesh" node but all the "reserve life%" nodes behind it look really weak and apart from the "loyal hellhound" the rest of the infernalist seems far too geared towards a resource management "mini-game" of its own. Titan by comparison is almost as "generic" as the gemling legionaire if you don't spec into stuns and slams and nearly all of it is useful.
I did it because I wanted a male necro. But after looking at the traits there is a lot of interesting combos for warrior with minions. But also the warrior line can get access to some big damage buffs for minions. It takes many levels to get there but if you spec for maximum damage with warrior skeletons and then make 1 group run last gasp you basically have an endless wave of nukes rushing your target. You could also use minions as a form of life gain on a warrior getting 2% HP every resummon.
True warrior leveling early sucks ass , the skills are so slow to use , but totem helps to clear stuff that is the main reason i deleted my warrior around lvl 25 it felt slow and clunky
I had went north on my warrior in the tree and hit traits that gave strength and intelligence then got the necro AOE damage skills. Only need to cast once and killing eoth melee spreads it. Makes using warrior really easy early for me. But I ended up using totems with it for more AOE but it ended up cramping my hand trying to keep totems up.
I really dont like the minions so far I hope we get some cooler ones in the future It might just be that I love the summoner idea but not the necromancer idea I guess Mainly played witch because I wanted to summon awesome stuff but it is just everything the same weak rattling skellies imo
It's not default-attack or auto-attack, the skill is called mace strike (or other weapon type when you use different ones), it's a strike skill given you by simply choosing mace and it cost no mana, then it has rather high damage effectiveness no attack speed penalty and it automatically unlock extra socket when you reach certain level, if you only consider hit dps part, mace strike is really up there with the better slam skill, it can be a pretty good main skill before you fully gear up and open sockets for skills, sure if you hate melee style it's gonna be torture anyway, but at least for melee character this is a rather good choice before you build up those full screen explosions, you can even build around mace strike for end game, I believe Woolie did.
Literally every person on the planet calls it auto attack, because it's a universal basic attack that isn't even a skill gem and everyone gets as soon as they equip a weapon. Get used to it. Doesn't have to be logical as long as we all on the same page.

And yes i am dying internally each time i see a srs build. Not that the spells is bad or unpleasant, its just infuriating that ggg sort off made it the only viable one. I do understand its probably because it is the most "proactive" gameplay. But if this is their issue with other minions build it would be possible to add ether a system of stance or positioning spells for the other minions pushing the player to be more of a general with his army.

Raise zombies was so useless. The problem i had is that you can only get them after you kill a pack and by time you are at the next pack they are gone... And actually useless vs bosses
Really? I've had them active for almost all packs. Very easy to resurrect them. Put the 50% duration increase on them. They made great meatshields with little investment and can body block many mobs from swarming you.
Leveling up a warrior atm with Lightning Arrow + Lightning Rod, a cheap bow and a couple random leveling uniques that gives some free dexterity. Should be easy sailing to lvl 14+
This game has 0 viable build variations, everybody is using the same class and same skills because it’s so unfair and anti-melee. POE2 right now is a 4/10 game, below average.

My normal minions are also always despawning, getting stuck behind doors, behind eachother, in small hallways, bridges, etc, it's pretty terrible lol

For warrior, just lvl up as a grenadier in act 1. There is a unique xbow that doesn't require reload if reloaded recently, it's bonkers.

Just contagion and leach with sniper poison wrecks everything early for me. 1 cast and it kills every creature in an area.

You mentioned the resistances in acts, there's an option in act 3 cruel when you do the venom crypts for 10% chaos res. Pretty useful
And then there's Woolie who is fucking jazzed you can just delete an entire screen of enemies by using the skill from the 2-handed mace lol.
I'm also doing a default attack warrior and it's just hilarious that you can just delete an entire screen with just one hit from your mace lol

Leveling any character with spell spark + flamewall until level 14 where you will get your first main skill or raging spirit.

Totems do not count as minion (and never did in PoE).
the hukling form node on titan is far too powerful, overshadows any value the ancestral totem node on warbringer might have

Because in the end-game, at certain moments, he was getting one-shot by some mobs, so he decided to test the Titan passives to see how they perform.

Just gamble some low level rattling scepters and mule a couple low level skill gems and use minions from level 2.

Why use a mace ?????????? Just grab a X-Bow and go ham. You don't have to stick to the initial weapon choice.
