Congrats on all that work!!! Most people don't go the extra mile to have a rust free vehicle. You didn't only go that far, but decided to record every nut and bolt going on and off during the process. That's all every vw bus fan wants to see and eventually do someday in life. Thank you for the effort!!
Making a vehicle truly “rust free” is extremely difficult, especially ones that are 40 years old. I guess replacing most of the metal is one way to do it ;)
There is talk about German buses and Brazilian buses, but what about "Brandon buses?" Incredible attention to detail! 👏 I spent a few years restoring my '58 panel, but your work is over the top 👍
Nice work, I welded a new roof only my 68 double cab this week, finished the 10 thousandth plug weld and on the last one sent a hot nugget of weld into my sock and burned my foot. Gotta love it to do it.
You definitely are one meticulous person,I don’t know what your real job is,but if you put this much detail into the bus. Your productivity must be through the roof in your everyday life.great video as always.just keep doing what you do best.be safe.getting there.kudos 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Hi Brandon,Wow great work I know how much this demands from time patience & contunuety your effort get to an complete new bus better then it left the VW Factory,Looking forward for the completement oft the rear.Greetings Hubertus 🇳🇴🇳🇱🙏🏻👍🏻☮🇺🇸
Absolute mint work Brandon! Loving every episode. Thumbs for the no-music-only-shop-noise approach. Question: while equipment and space investment heavy, would not media blasting be preferred for this level of work? Wire wheel and chemicals put a higher requirement on attention to detail to get every spot. Ps. "Dude, the back end fell off.."
Good question! I think if I did it all over again I’d drop the bus off at a place that could media blast the entire thing for me, it’s difficult to get the equipment that could easily media blast a whole car so I opted for the chemical method on the larger areas and a sandblast cabinet for the smaller parts.
I work in the SW FL real estate and construction market, my wife is affiliate marketer for a US supplement company. She’s the real breadwinner allowing me to spend more time than most in the garage.

I know a lot of folks say they have rust free vehicles but you are achieving what most only claim. I'm here for this kind of content!

@@BrandonsBus It's impossible to remove every panel and clean out every lap weld, but it sure seems like you are getting close ;-)
Me too.

Oh that’s totally happened to me before, I’m not always good about wearing my boots. 😭

Assisto a todos os seus vídeos. A minha 1975 é do tipo pickup.
Nice! 75 was the last year for the split window right?
@@BrandonsBus Correto 1975 foi o último ano da fabricação deste modelo, depois veio a clipper.
Aqui no Brasil nois temos tudo de lata para sua kombi
Thankfully it’s pretty easy to find replacement metal for these busses.
Tell me times have you caught your beard in a power too?
A few months ago it was the wire wheel on the angle grinder: not fun.

Brandon, how do you finance this project? Is that something you do beside your normal work? and you have no kids, right? ;-)
Hahaha somewhere in one video clip you can hear “Dad” called from the door, my 4 kids definitely keep me busy.
