If ur looking for short curls then leave it but if u want waves then ur gonna want around 1.5 inches of hair if ur hair is 4a+ and around 2.5 inches of hair if its 3b or 3c
Freeform dreads are when you do nothing and allow your hair to naturally tangle and form dread locks and if you use a sponge or towel or those other things it wont be free form anymore and it mught not have the shape and variety of freeform also some of the pictures e showed for free form were not freeform dreadlocks
