- I unbox, assemble and test my new Clarke CDP102B bench / pillar drill. Can I work out the instructions? Can I remember how to use one without piercing myself? Is it any good?
Great review, Suprised it drove the 75mm holesaw, Filled my column with rebar and concrete, just a cup full of cement needed from a friendly builder. Noticably more rigidity, A jack under the table also helps.
Hope yours go well. Sorry to say mine packed in after 14 months. 2 months after the warranty run out. Going to invest in a Axminster trade rated one instead. Good luck for the future and keep safe.
Looking to buy my first budget pillar drill (under £100). Thanks for this video which has helped. This is one of three 3 Clarke machines I've identified from Machine Mart.
Hi Terry. Glad it helped in some way.
i dont suppose anyone can tell me what size the top of the spindle is on these ? ( eg the top driven end which engages with the drive pulley sleeve )
i'm trying to find parts for similar machine. hoping to find one that uses 12mm diameter, 6-splined !
however it may also be square / 4 splined / none of the above........ grateful for any info!
Noice video, cheers mate
There's a pretty good vid on here, about quietening your PD - iirc the main focus was on the belts/pulleys
Worth a view. I'll try to find a link if anyone wants me to :-)
Hi, just bought this myself, one question I have is when pressing the chuck on how far does it go up the rod, I can see a line on it but my chuck is about 5mm short of this line and I pressed quite hard
Yes that sound about right the shaft is tapered, as long as it doesn't fall off your doing well.
What is the point of videoing "un boxiing"?
I would assume EVERYBODY already knows how to take something out of a box.
That is one noisy machine!!!
