    I just ran a test on my 2 x iTech 120X which a set up in parallel. I got 194 Ah before everything shut down! I think their 105 Ah is a little optimistic!

      I found the same mate.
      Pretty impressed with the updated model though, I'm hoping to have a video out this week checking out that one too.

    Thanks mate. Nice work. I had 2 x 120x in my camper for a few years... never had an issue. I couldn't fault them... regardless of price. Ran everything in my camper... sometimes fridge and fans all night in the tropics, etc. Recently sold the camper... but couldn't have been happier with the setup. Subbed too. Cheers 🍻

    I bought a Powerhouse 120ah lithium battery for about $800 (along with a victron solar controller and 240v charger), 2 months ago to replace a nearly dead 100ah AGM in our van.....I'm so impressed with it I'll be buying 2 more to put in our new van next year to replace the 2 standard AGMs that come in it

      That’s it Chris, it hasn’t been a drama and it probably wouldn’t be unless your constantly running it down that low.

    Pretty appalling that an expensive itech battery claiming 120ah yields 95ah, when my $350 kings 120ah put out 130ah at 1C and it wasnt even the battery that shut off, i turned the inverter off when it started beeping due to being under 11v, so it still had more in it!

      Yet kings is 15kg, itech 10kg.
      Another channel pulled the kings apart.
      High temp cut-off worked.
      Failed low temp, kept charging. May or may not be important.

    Thats is what i would expect never the full rated claim however !! Cheep is cheep !! And so are promises !!! Not to knock it !! When you purchase a renogy or equivalent quality named brand of battery, the specs always meet their promised rated usage but at least it is close to expected and its been used for a few years !! Like king’s cheep and probably worth it !! My opinion only 😎

      Thanks for the comment mate.
      Spot on at least it was close after a few years, I reckon the updated version should cut the mustard a little better.

      Have you any experience with Itech's super slim batteries? I'm at the point of fitting the electronics to my canopy...was set on battery in box under the sude of the tray m, but now considering the option of super slim 200ah they have.

    Never had a issue with the battery but mine shut down at 100amps. iTech world telling porky pies with their batteries. Think they are inly 100amp with 80 amp useable based on safe discharge...

    • @OutNAboutAustralia
      @OutNAboutAustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems pretty common with most batteries ratings though to be fair.
      The old FLA and SLA 100Ah really only being good for 50 before starting to struggle.
      Pretty keen to put the latest model to the test too.

  • @modut6258
    @modut6258 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Honestly that's pretty poor. e.g. Renogy 100ah, you actually get 106ah out of it.

      I would go on for ever all I can say it’s I stay away. I have pushed so many people to iTech I was an early adopter and now all the faulty crap and warranties not being covered.
      They use the Perth local big tower to get you in and then nothing. It’s shocking to see

      I had/have a problem with the BC40.
      Took 3 months to get action.
      Though some of it was me camping.
      First, by phone, they told me to take it off the 100 and put it on my portable itech 54. That cleared the BC40.
      A month later, after another failure, they said I shouldn't put it on the 54.
      They finally agreed to look at it when another tech jumped in.
