Out of all the charecters in the Breakfast Club, Bender never picks on Allison or harasses her, because he can relate to her, and they are probably cool with each other. Allison was one of my favorites in the Breakfast Club, she just does her own thing, doesn't care about societal norms and whatnot.

The five students were originally supposed to serve their detention in the school cafeteria, locked into the walk-in refrigerator, but then producers were worried that children would try to copy the movie and lock themselves into their refrigerators at home, then suffocate. The exterior scenes were shot at a suburban high school right outside of Chicago, but the library scenes were filmed at the Princeton University library, which is mostly underground and that’s why you see no windows in the movie’s library. Harvard University refused permission to film the dance scene there, so it was done at Oxford in England. Judd Nelson went undercover as a high school student at a local high school because seven years after graduating from a high school in Maine he had no memory of what high school was like, and found he liked it so much that he stayed at that high school after filming and four years later graduated as their Valedictorian. I just watched the movie for the first time. Loved it! I thought I was in the minority, but quite literally the first appearance I thought she was smoking hot. How she walks, her biting of the lip, the way she expresses joy. She's talented, humorous (at least for me), and just does whatever she wants. She uses freedom to the absolute max. She didn't even get a detention! She probably thought, "this might be fun" which kinda explains why she doesn't care at all to get any work done. Even though it's later found out what trouble is going on in her life-she's as close to a free floating spirit as she can be. I respect her character a lot. In my life to I'm generally the first one to make a move even if I could be wrong. Allison is a rebel to society because how free she is. She doesn't even have any friends, doesn't suffer to peer pressure. People need a tad bit of this spirit today. Self-expression, a sense of identity, confidence, living with oneself.
I absolutely love her so very much in this role. Too bad I couldn't find a woman like this. I didn't care for her "makeover" ether. Very interesting to see that I'm not the only one. Thank you.
If you read my first post this one's pretty funny too this is probably a junior in high school 17 wanted to get into rated r movie and they weren't letting us in so I asked my neighbor and he got us in the funny thing is he's black and I'm white and he said I was his son it was awesome. I really miss Cliff he died years back but one hell of a guy
