One of the most picturesque day hikes I have done in the Sierra Nevada. The views from Mt. Bago are stunning. The trail takes you through the Kearsarge Lakes Basin, and if you take the upper route you are presented with fantastic views with East Vidette in the background. Moreover, the Bullfrog lake with the mountains behind is stunning. Once you start going up the ridge towards Bago Peak the hike gets tougher, but once you get to the top you might be enchanted by the 360 view with mountains all around.
