Hello, Paul. Thanks for your daily motivation in this crazy mixed up world. Your attitude is so contagious. I used to do this similar routine in 1989. When I recently purchased a step, I went to youtube and was blown off the step by the high BPM workouts. So, I searched slow, old school and found you. Keep up with the old school, slow BPM workouts. I laugh out loud when you shuffle your arms side to side, love it!

This step routine from Paul Eugene is great! So many of those online have much too fast beats-per-minute. Paul Eugene also makes it engaging, but asking us how we're doing, & talking to us, & adding some Motown moves, & referring to Prince, etc. His step-aerobic moves are good. I didn't think it would be fun, but it is - I hope there will be more Paul Eugene step routines with this nice speed! Thank you!

I did this one last evening! Great one. 🔥 As a nearly lifelong fitness enthusiast, at 50, I’m forcing myself to learn that a longer, slower, and steady workout is just as effective as a high energy one sometimes! TY!

Thanks for your comment. That is so true. I actually enjoy the longer slower step than my faster ones.

You're so welcome! I do plan on doing more at this tempo. People can add risers to the step bench or increase their energy with the moves to make it more challenging.

Ha, I started your advanced session and realized pretty fast that this is above my level. I just got my step bench and this one was just right. So I will do it a few times before moving on. California does not have many stairs and this is so much fun. Thanks

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The other workout was a tab faster. But I really want to reach the beginners baby boomers and seniors, so that is why I am doing them at this tempo. If a person adds risers to the step, it will make it more challenging.

I love your step workouts. Perfect for beginners but we can easily make them harder if we hold light dumbbells and use punches, kicks, or even some jumps and skips. Thank you.

You're so welcome! Or one could just add risers to the step.

I did today’s work out all on the floor with a booty band around my legs, just above my knees. Major sweat and effort!

@@PaulEugene Yeah, I forgot about the risers because it's not so easy to find and buy step platforms compatible with them, much less spare risers. Here in Brazil, steps are quite expensive even when they don't have any riser, the most available and affordable nowadays are those made of EVA rubber foom that many times are too slippery. My step was by far the best fitness equipment I ever bought, I got it over 30 years ago and it's still in very good condition. Though it has only one riser, I can't use it anymore because I have neuropathy. To step on a higher platform when I can barely feel my feet would be dangerous. Even at the lower level, it's still a little risky, but as I'm addicted to stepping at least twice a week since Gin Miller created this thing, the only way for me to quit would be if this neuropathy progresses till it forces me into a wheelchair.

Another great one to add to my library - thanks! I love having the flexibility to do what my schedule and my body allow. Been stepping since the 80's and it's still my favorite indoor workout. Used my mini-step and just tightened up the turn steps and did V-steps on the floor - perfect! Loved the little extra at the end.

    Hi Paul, 😊😊
I did this today after one of your other aerobics exercises and enjoyed it, though there is one move I found I can't conquer just yet, and thats the turn move.
I'm going to keep doing this until I do conquer it. Then I'm going back to the Christmas one with you and Holly, that looks fun to do as well.
