Great songwriter AND musician (dude can play tons of instruments). He was always doomed to live in the shadow of Bob Mould and Paul Westerberg, but seriously he holds his own among them. They never quite had an album breakthrough the way Zen Arcade or Let It Be did, which is a damn shame.
SA keeps putting out albums because the music keeps coming and The Dude abides. Clone Pirner for the willingness to engage the other. The mountain entertaining the field. Long may you run and I cannot wait until the live record in the studio. Maybe that freak murphy can come by and kick your goddamn ass into your happy place?!
Dave's voice has REALLY held up well. He's such a solid songwriter, too. This was awesome. Great rendition of Black Gold.
