My Marlin 1894. .44 mag. Is consistently one of the most accurate lever guns I've ever fired. 1st shot from box ,rested at 50 yards cut the center X on my target. Never missed since 😊

I had my double stack 45. Para-Ordnance pistol cerakoted by a small town business and they took the rear sight off and I'm pretty sure they hammered it back in after I got it colored gold and black. Needless to say that I literally couldn't hit a glass bottle from less than 10 feet away with it and I was aiming directly on it. They are not in business anymore lol not because of me tho just cause they sucked at what they did. But yea it definitely can be the gun but I highly doubt that happened with him
Some of those old buckhorn sights on lever actions can be really tricky and you have to shoot them a few times to oynow where your bullet is landing and how to aim, also sometimes the iron sights need to be adjusted. And sometimes, people just suck with certain guns. Like me, I suck really bad at shooting a glock 43x, and im still pretty bad with pistols in general, even though Ive shot in shootint competions for years with shotguns and even rifles, ive also hunted most my life and brought down many squirrel, deer and quail. But for some reason, that glock 43x is just really hard for me to shoot straight. I think it is the super short barrel, and block irons sights + the really bad trigger, because I went shooting with my dad before a few times and shot his CZ-75 and 1911 to compare with my glock, and i was hitting plates almost every single shot and from doible the distance with my dads cz-75, it felt like magic. Then I went to shoot my glock and could not hit crap, maybe only half my shots hit the plate, it was frustrating, still am learning want im doing wrong and how to shoot it right.
Yeah, but it doesnt drop at 25 yards. Ive got a 357 and sometimes shoot 38 specials in it and even then it doesnt drop enough to miss a 2 liter until about 75 yards

At 40, I aimed at the top of the 2 liter - the cap - and it hit just above the middle of the bottle and dead center. Was a clean shot. I think he just needs to mess with his sights maybe. I’m not sure. With my 1894, this shot would have been made first pull of the trigger 😉 it’s SO nice and clean. So easy to hit targets with her.

I then pick up my $200 Girsan, (Beretta 92 clone) and pop off 4” groups or my 327 TRR8, (8 shot S&W revolver) and put 6” groups beside it. I swear to God that gun hates me and is secretly laughing that it cost me twice as much as both those other guns. (Other people shoot it great! 😢)
That's the difference between levers then and levers now, they used to come out of the box with pie plate accuracy at 100 yards if you could shoot but they stopped doing that in the 90's or early 2000's.

3030 needs those extra 4" for the mag tube and 5 rounds, and full 2400 FPS. I can reload while scooting bc I am left handed, but still. Anything over 16" for a PC is waisted weight and diminishing returns. But there was a Mesquite, TX man that did 3 burglers coming home, as they were coming out with his stuff. The inside of their car was a mess bc of his Ruger Rancher in .44mag. The third guy left a gore trail from the home owner's front door to his back fence.

Turns out after much research and ignoring all the people saying you just have weak hands that there is indeed a very helpful technique. Load your first cartridge but leave half out, then every cartridge after do the same thing. It's a lot easier
@@noneyaonenoneyatwo2879 Yes and that technique is easier when you loading rifle length cartridges. The shorter 44 mag bullets tend to wana pop back out sometimes when not pushed in enough. I usually just shove my way through each round but it’s a lot more difficult when you doing it with gloves on.

How comfortable is that shoulder rig? I'm used to wearing suspenders so I'm wondering if they feel similar or just if they're comfortable in general.

The buck horn sights can be a difficult for eyes that don’t see well. They still fun though
Why do a video without first sighting in the rifle? Stock sights kind of suck though. I replaced mine with an XS peep sight.

Tell me how a long gun with a bead sight is not sighted in. Short of a shot out or bent barrel, im not sure whats wrong.
Th e elevation rear sight can be adjusted and it was raised all the way up wgich was causing it to shoot very high.
