Insane hearing about Hamilton even in a conversation about retirement... been watching F1 since he started and it's weird how much he has grown up
Same, I can't believe it's been 10 years. I can't imagine how I could watch F1 without Lewis.

It surprises me that he's 34 today. I still picture the young stevenage lad who run amok in f1. Now its big boy superstar. Times have changed man/wo-man.
It won't be long before Hamilton beats Schumacher's records both for the number of Grand Prix wins and the number of World Title Wins. Schumacher won 91 Grands Prix and 7 World Titles. Hamilton now has 81 wins and is about to win his 6th World Title.
And this was in 2017 when he was 32, arguably 2017 and 2018 were his strongest seasons ever. All this nonsense retirement talk annoys me with every athlete that gets past 30. Fair enough if the guy was performing poorly, but if he is still on top of his game, why the hell would he retire?
Lewis needs to keep racing until the wheels fall off, he’s the face of F1 right now and will go down as one of the greats after he retires...

It's probably a lot rarer these days. But then again, Michael Schumacher did come back so it's possible.
Statistically speaking, you can't go back to F1.. Obviously it happens. Michael Schumacher coming back only confirms what lewis said, since he didn't even score a podium while Rosberg won in that same car.
The greatest F1 driver of all time comes back and gets 1 podium and 1 disqualified Pole Position over 3 seasons while being comfortably beaten by his team mate, not exactly a shining example of a comeback is it? Raikkonen won 2 races in 6 seasons since his return, the last of which was over 4 years ago.
To be fair, Mercedes were absolutely nowhere for those 3 seasons
I have to disagree on that, world class champion drivers coming back to mediocre results and being consistently beaten by their teamates is not commendable, all Schumacher did was tarnish his record. He didn't make a comeback for the sake of taking part, he only did it with the intention of winning and that didn't happen, Rosberg however did win in that car.
Hamilton is saying it's not a sport you come back to, neither of these drivers have made a comeback where they were able to achieve their goals or previous success, most drivers who leave the sport never return, the ones that do rarely live up to their previous form.

He is annoying and overrated. Verstappen is a better driver. Ricc is a fake who got lucky that Vettel hated the 2014 car. He might never win the WDC because Verstappen will be every top teams choice.
Angel Definitely not. When Red Bull gets their stuff together, they will finally start winning more often again. It may even be next year. After Rosberg left, Ricciardo is doing the fastest laps. Ferrari has already caught up to Mercedes and Red Bull isn't far off.
Ricciardo is annoying man. Pick another driver to support. Will save you frustration down the line.

He'll EASILY beat Michael's 7 time championship winnings if he continues the way he has been for the past 2 years. He's already got 5, he's on the right track at the moment for his 6th and he'll still be able to get a few more championships before he hits 38/39
Depends how long that mercedes stays on top and performs well ,wont be long till Mercedes sink down the grid and become middle or even bottom end teams . Its happend to lotus its happend to William's its happend to mclaren , ferrari and it will happen to mercedes .hamilton wouldn't be a multi championship winner with out that car .
@@paulthomson9709 I don't think that a team like Mercedes would fall down easily. They began their championship wins in just 2 years after their comeback to F1 since 1955 and now are doing it for 7 or 8 years in a row which is a record in F1 history. I mean they're even providing engines and parts for other teams aswell. They might fall down to be the 2nd or 3rd best team, but definitely not gonna the same fate as Williams or Lotus to be the worst team.

They will soon move or retire go elsewhere , every team goes in cycles mercedes will be no different , i didn't mind mclaren winning all those times or williams or ferrari but im just so bored with mercedes and find it such a chore to watch a race now

Lewis is on the way to being the goat, but Senna will always be the special one.
Nah Hamilton has surpassed him. Behaviour on and off the track has elevated him above Senna and Schumacher. Sir Lewis hasn't done any of that shady dirty driving that Ayrton and Michael did, and in addition, his off-track work has promoted him to G.O.A.T. status in worldwide sports. He has positively affected the lives of so many people around the globe in a way neither Senna or Schumacher did. Heavens, even the Brazilians adopted him as an honorary Brazilian citizen- and they have Senna in their ranks! That's how high calibre Hamilton is.

In an age when the cars were far more primitive than they have been for the last 15-20, to race like he did, wow. It’s difficult to compare both. He will retire once Verstappen gets his first championship win. After Nico Rosberg left, he knew he was the top dogg on the circuit. Now Max is here and getting that sweet Honda motor next year. It'll be game over, he will try for his 6th Championship in 2019. Either he wins it or not, it will be his last year if not his 2nd last.
