In this video we’re going to be checking out the model 37 Winchester introduced to the public around 1936. And stayed in production to around 1963. And it’s something that is desired by a lot of collectors, and just average every day gun owners. My Dad had one growing up. He had me shoot it when I was 7. To small to hold it up by myself. After pulling the trigger and getting knocked back 10 feet. Never touched that gun again. Still won't today. Back flashes!

Memories of *my* first shotgun. It was made in Canada by Cooey for Winchester, and I harvested a lot of grouse
and rabbits with it. Once I bagged two grouse with one shot, back in 1977. Stupid me sold it after I bought a pump action Winchester Defender. Been kicking myself ever since, LOL Thanks for the video!

My dad had one many yrs back. And I remember when young that single shot put a hurting on my shoulder. That 30 inch full choke got the most out of high brass shotshells. Seen my dad shoot a rabbit across a creek about the distance you shot and nothing left just blew up

A ol Tom turkey would be in trouble huntin with that 37 ! Have my dads ol 37 16 ga 28". Still rips a squirrel right out the tree tops son.

The grand old Winchester Model 37 is my favorite single shot shotgun. The later 37A is an entirely different design.

Single shots usually do kick pretty bad. No weight to them. I only have two single shots myself, and they're both rather recent shotguns. I'd love to get an older single shot sometime.

Couldn't help but smile when you checked the barrel for obstruction. I've pick up a few old single barrel shotguns for near nothing with bulged barrels caused by mud or debris clogging them.

Are you sure you don't want to run about 4 more shells thru it? 😂 It reminds me why Dad let us as young kids only use the 16ga & 20ga. Took him awhile to get the 28ga to make a set. Sold them back in the 70s. Nice shotguns. Take care of that shoulder. 🙏👍☕️

If it's an M37A it will have a serial number. The original Model 37 did not. Either way it's a very nice one. Great video!
