- Let's explore beautiful Sitka Alaska as a family. We didn't book an excursion with the cruise line we went out and explored ourselves! Best budget hack and the best way to do it! Last time we explored downtown Sitka so today we rented a car and explored a little more of what this beautiful town has to offer. We saw bears, beautiful lakes, whales and so much more! Come along and lets get out and live a live a little.

You guys are brave i would not be able to hike in alaska bears in the wild I wouldnt chance an encounter myself but know alot of people do
Many of the hikes are close to the city centers so relatively safe. But completely understand.

I'll be sailing on the Bliss next week. (6-15-24) In Sitka, I'm doing the "Historic" Nature Walk. It's free, because of NCL's $50 credit, for excursions, at every port. I'll probably check out the town, since the bus is included.

We appreciate it! Our biggest suggestion is for excursions look at the prices to book directly for stuff. A lot of the excursions are the same time and itinerary whether you book directly with the cruiseline or with the supplier.
Hey guys! My wife and I are traveling to Alaska on the Sun. We leave May 1st. It will be a little cool but we're from Northern MN, so we'llbe ok 😅. We went to Alaska last fall on the Encore. I'm wondering how much it cost you to rent a car for a few hours and who you rented through. Thanks for the great videos. Paul & Patti

Ours was roughly $150 for the day but we saw ranges in between $100-200.

Looks like a great day! How does it work with ship security & bringing a drone with you? I thought they were a banned item with NCL.
NCL doesn’t allow drones! (It’s frustrating) glad to know I managed to make it look close to drone shots with our 360 camera.

Did you have formal days during your trip?
NCL does not have formal nights but they do have a couple night they say are 'Dress up or Not' where some people will dress formally. but the vast majority do not.

Cruises have ruined Sitka. Too bad. Rolex finally found Sitka.
