I appreciate your drawing attention to the climate you are from.
holy smokes, you brought a ton of clothes for only a 7 day cruise.
😂I’m a chronic overpacker. Thank the Lord for compression bags. 🤣
This was a great and informative video. Thank you for sharing 😊
You’re so welcome!!
tHANKS FOR THE TIP ABOUT THE SLIPPERS! I had bought the sock ones for this cruise but we have a balcony so now I will bring my indoor/outdoor slippers that i already have.
You’re welcome!!
Very useful presentation, especially since you also cover your husband's clothes too. Thank you!
You’re welcome!!
We are going to Alaska in August and your video is so helpful. I appreciate the links.
So glad we could help!! We’re going again in August too. 👍🏼🚢
Very interesting, however, all those clothes would boggle my mind! Nice to have SOME choices, just not your whole closet.
..also, you can choose your clothing the wsy you chose that clear shoe. Make a few outfits by mix and matching. 😊
Absolutely true!! There are folks who do Alaska with a carry on only-won’t ever be me. 😂👍🏼
Me neither.
Thank you for this. My trip is not until next year, but your video was very helpful.
You're so welcome. Early planning is a good thing! Let us know if you have questions.
Thank you so much for this informative video. My Alaska cruise is June 2024.
You’re welcome! Glad it helped. Have a great cruise. 🚢
Us too! See you there.
Us too June 2024. I’m binging on all these videos and taken notes😂
Great video!! Your Alaska cruise sounds a lot like ours. This is a perfect video for anyone wanting to know what to bring⚓️
Hope it helps folks. That's why we're here! Thanks for watching!
Good Info for the wifey and others on our June 2024 Alaska cruise!
You don't need near that amount of stuff.
Very informative. I'll share with the others going with me. Thank you.
You’re welcome!
Thank u so much for taking ur time with the packing videoes lol We live in South Ga so Alaska type clothing is not something I have any knowledge of 🤣
You're welcome. Hope it helps!
Alaska in May. So big thanks.
You’re welcome! Have a great cruise. 🚢
Thanks for great video. I will cruise in October 2024 for 9 days with 🧳carry-on and personal item 👜 only. Why October - only 4 rainy days in average in October and I don't bother about cold temperatures. Sometimes I really do miss cold temperatures and it might be hard to understand for people, but I do (btw we moved from Europe down to French-Polynesia). I do most of my travelling (7 to 18 days) with carry-on and personal item. And I have nearly always international flight to LAX and now in October I have even a short time frame for connecting domestic flight to Seattle. I've already made "test packing" (I'm a bit of "over-planning person" 😂and was worrying about packing for Alaska), whether carry-on works for 9 day cruise (and 2 days Seattle before) and it does. I was just rembering cold days in Europe (home or vaccation) - what did I wear: 🤔Three different outfits for each day a week - staying inside casual (breakfast, lunch), being outside for sports, dinner time🤔. Nope, it was simply all about different combination of clothes and wearing them twice or even several times. So, why should I change it for an Alaska cruise - so do it with carry-on. When travelling to Seattle I will wear bulky stuff, like puffer jacket and fleece sweater (thin longsleeve T-Shirt and top underneath) and my normal sport shoes (work also great for normal hiking, there is no climbing mountains on cruise). And my beloved warm and cosy cardigan - hand-knitted by my granny - will go into a pillow cover to have an additional nice sleep item for flight (fits easily between handles of carry-on). I do not pack additional "just in case use" clothing - for what I think, is main thing of a lot of peoples overpacking. Btw I'm lucky - due to my loyalty status I have free laundry on ship 🤩, but on my last cruises I did not even used it. And I do not use packing cubes due to weight limits for carry-on - I only use zip-log plastic bag for underwear. Note: In nearly every carry-on (light weight case) there is a in-built compression bag - that's the side with the cover having a zipper. Check it out - put in stuff there, press it down, put over cover and close zipper - it works. Even it's still blowing, you can press it with other side of case. That's it.
And overall there is a nice side effect of Alaska cruising in October: It's much cheaper and less crowded than in peak season. Happy cruising and greetings from Moorea (sister island of Tahiti) in French-Polynesia 🌴 🏖 😎 🇵🇫 🇫🇷 🇪🇺
your tunic is a cardigan
Great video! Very helpful! The link to the 3 in 1 jacket isn't working right. Can you repost it? I'm looking for a jacket for our cruise to Alaka in August. Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! I'll get on that link right now.
Thank you! It is working now!@@AllThingsWagner
Thank you again, I bought the jacket for my Alaska cruise. I love it!
I’m going to Alaska in September. Were people swimming in the pools or soaking in the jacuzzi that time of the year ?
Yes! More so the hot tubs than the indoor pool. No one in the outdoor pool, of course. We went in Sept too.
Going in September
It was rainy, but we had an amazing September cruise!! I’m sure you will too. ❤️🚢
I'm from Texas also and I can agree with you on it not getting cold here. I am leaving for Alaska on Quantum of the Seas in about 2 weeks. This will be my 3rd time going to Alaska and I take flannel shirts, skinny jeans, and Uggs. I don't take as much as you did though but I understand you gotta have options. Love your packing ideas!
I’m doing an October repositioning cruise Alaska to Hawaii and packing will be a nightmare 4 days Alaska 5 sea days 4 Hawaii, any help will be welcome. This Vedic was awesome by the way! 38:11
Thanks for watching! Wow, what an itinerary. I think searching online for “capsule outfits” might be helpful. Those use the same clothing items to create several different outfits. You can then use the warm weather items for layering once your temps start cooling. Have an awesome cruise!
Can you send me the link to the water pant please ?
Should be in the list below the video. If not, I’ll correct. 👍🏼
How many suitcases did you need?
With compression bags, we managed with 3, same as Caribbean. 👍🏼
How many suitcases 😂
Too much clothes!
😂🤣I know!! I’m an overpacker, for sure.
