The engine is the problem. This engine is not build to handle open worlds. Dd2 alreasy showed that we have a problem. RE4 is linear game with quite small areas so it runs well
either way its still a beta man, they probably will adjust some things vefore the game fully releases, its not like this is going to be the final product, we can still hope for a somewhat better perfomance
Honestly RE7 is quite good looking and has way better performance than RE2, RE4 and Village, but as the time goes by more and more the performance got worse idk why. I'm really afraid of the new resident evil and the rumors about being "open world".
@ it is expected because of the graphical improvements of their new games tho the recent remakes and RE Village were pretty optimized besides the insane VRAM issue, I can even run RE4 smoothly on my 2nd pc that only has a gtx 1060, I hope they can still improve the situation with MH Wilds and for their future games.

At this point someone should take the box-art and adjust it to reflect what the game looks like with FSR and Frame Gen enabled on mid-tier hardware. Because that's the game most people will be getting. Not what they show on the current box art.

thats what frame generation does, if ypu want to use frame generstion i would recommend buying losless scale, it has a better Frame Generation system and you could pretty much use it anywhere, you will still see some odd things every now and then but the in gsme built FG is just not that good
That's the price of using that. You will notice that in all games that have that technology. If you boot up Silent Hill 2 Remake right now, you will notice it as well. This is not a GPU issue it's just how the tech is implemented as a quick fix to get more frames so they don't have to do the actual heavy lifting of making it optimized
Put scaling mode to AMD FSR 3 Quality. Turn off Frame Gen ingame and turn it on in the driver control panel (alt+z or alt+r if you have hotkeys enabled). Set the AFMF 2 settings to High and Quality. You'll get better results. Enable Anti-Lag as well. This will look a lot better than ingame frame generation.
It doesn't matter how good the base game looks if you need to apply upscaling and frame generation to play it. Because then you will never get to see the way the base game actually looks. You'll only be playing it while wearing "muddy old glasses" because of the way these workaround technologies affects the visuals...
5 years later and you will need a NASA level supercomputer to run a game at 30 fps highest settings with dlss and framegen and whatever new thing they discover to increase fps and make devs more lazy at optimising

Mean while 4090 owners (but i have 100-120 fps at 1440p), no you have 50 fps with increased input delay using faked pixel upscaling(dlss) with a 2000 dollar card using frame generation below what Nvidia recommend, which is 60. Because of the input delay which you kind if want in a game where response time matters. Boomers with bad eye sight and bad reaction seem to think this is fine.
i was watching a guy with a 4090 stream the beta yesterday, he had more like 80-90 fps in 1440p without frame gen and 160 with frame gen. At 80 fps the ghosting and input delay of framegen is minimized. And monster hunter IS a boomer game you dont get carted because of 1/3 of a frame worth of input delay, you get carted because of bad decisions.
I don't know why, but I have an RX 6600, and I can barely play at 60 FPS on the lowest settings. In the video, the game plays at an average of 40 FPS on medium settings. I have 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a i5-11400F @ 2.60 GHz. If anyone has any ideas about what might be happening, I'd be glad to hear them.

I jumped back on before because I read that the FSR upscaling provides frame gen whereas anyone rocking an Nvidia 30 series or lower can't use the dlss equivalent. I changed it to FSR with frame gen enabled and was very surprised to see it was running smooth 80-90 fps with only the occasional dip. To answer your question, yes I think frame gen is necessary and overall the performance and graphical fidelity is kinda crap unless you have a beast of a rig. Hopefully they can improve before launch.

If you ran a game with 30fps with frame generation and got over 60, you will have input lag of a 30fps game It's also insane that a 3070 which is really a 1440p card, needs FSR to get 60fps on medium settings. This sadly won't see an improvement as these issue are often a core problem with the pipeline of the game rather then just 'bad code' that you can fiddle and fix like how some games run better if you turn off Core 0 for your CPU

The short answer is that yes, it should get better. This is a Beta, so basically a copy of the game that's months old by the time they released it for public testing. The current build is likely better optimized than what we played in the Beta. The build on release day will likely be further optimized still. Nothing is certain, though, and in fairness, Capcom is using a new engine. The game is also a major step up from MH:World in what it's trying to achieve. Hiccups are assured. It's also a likely unfortunate truth that this game is being designed around 40 series and above GPUs, which means lower and medium end equipment will struggle by default.
This game should be great, but Capcom is getting used to screw they're own game launch, Denuvo shit, shit optimization, absurd setup requirements, game is expensive as fuck, deluxe shit edition with an absurd overprice... Capcom is getting real close to become next EA/Ubisoft this way

This is legit one of the best intel CPUs you can get; with solid performance especially single core and its STILL struggling. Even the best AMD cpu still struggle cause they are waiting on the core game process; Daniel Owen has a benchmark vid with 4090 and 7800X3D

The graphics are nice especially the storms but I get little change from running on lowest vs high settings for most options on a 6700xt. Hopefully when the actual game comes out they have some fixes for cpu utilization and it runs better for more people.

Now CS consoles, both PS5 and Xbox, are AMD exclusive, and Wilds developed for them are not optimized enough for NVIDIA products to perform well.

The video helped me realize that the BIGGER problem wasn't my rx580, but my CPU. My game is fixed at 17fps, even if I enable or disable FSR Ultra Performance in 1080p, I have an i5-4570, I know I need to upgrade my whole PC, but I was just thinking about buying a cheap i7-4770/4790, someone with a Haswell's i7 is having at least 30+fps of performance?
My advice: change platform, nowdays u can find for the exact same money an am4 mobo + ryzen 5 2xxx/3xxxx

With the 3060 having similar performance to a 6650XT you should be fine-ish at low to medium settings

This game is seriously CPU bottleneck, just look at power consumption, it literally doesnt max out.
