Inspired by a dumpster converted into a tiny home, original Kasita co-founder, Jeff Wilson dreamed up this high-quality, minimalist design. Kasita has recently reinvented itself, pivoting from consumer sales to boutique hotels. Though, landowners can still purchase, as short or long-term rentals. *🏡🏡🏡 More Tiny House Tours & Stories:* th-cam.com/play/PLlvBXhDyr9H3XQbgDHQG23m1P_7LN1yyS.html
For me, the ideas in th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
Omg....you are the first i have come across in the designers of tiny homes/cargo homes, that actually did what i was wondering when someone was going to do and that's the dimming/darkening of Windows. Beautiful concept. I haven't checked yet but am wondering if these might be coming to Charlotte, nc this next year. Would love to help promote here if so =)
The ads that pop up are funny when you have a VPN and you set your preference for another location... 🤣😂🤣 I was talking to a woman this morning about your Honda Element, as she wants to convert hers into a sleeper camper, seems like a fun project... 👍😎👍 🖤🦇
I live in a flat with a conservatory and believe me it’s hot in spring summer and autumn. Freezing in winter. That area needs to be enclosed in some way from the living area.
You're right; they have. That's why we included the text about available for rent, though maybe we should have said short-term rent. We included a link in the description with more backstory about change. Landowners can still buy units.
I kinda hope this doesn't catch on. For starters, this build isn't for sale. They're renting these out as pricey hotel rooms, except they take up more space than a hotel room. So are they better for the environment? Nope. Full flushing toilets, rainfall shower heads, no solar panels, and they're hooked up to city sewage and the grid. And it can't be too efficient if a quarter of the walls/ceiling is made of glass. So who's this for? The same people who rent supercars for the experience and don't want to deal with the drawbacks of owning it everyday. Super nice, expensive, somewhat impractical, and *for rent only* is a trend I hope doesn't gain traction. Kinda goes against the whole "sustainability" part of the tiny house movement.
If you look at all the original creators videos, he fully intended these to be full time dwelling spaces and homes. The new buyers after this guy were the ones to change the vision, not him. These would still be great alternatives to housing for a lot of people as a permanent space
Aquí en los estados unidos (austin, san antonio, nashville, portland, y san diego). No se vende La Kasita. Se alquilan como un habitación de hotel. kasita.com/#more
Although it's really pretty I feel like you've moved away from the idea of a "personal touch" space and it's huge . I also have a feeling the cost is way more and moves away from the idea of affordability....
Not to keen on this one it too sterile and cold. don't get me wrong tiny can be wonderful but it needs to livable and comfortable a place for a living person and their pets to be happy and more connected with nature and life.
Jeff is just a bad businessman and the fact that Kasita is out of business process that. There's no way this tiny home should cost 300k. At the very most it should have been 120k, and that's still insanely overpriced.

Would have like to see the window darkening in a demo....
There really cool I've I installed some, the actual darkening process takes approx 20 min to full tint.
This is actually very chic and functional! I love the glass floor in the office
Surprisingly, I prefer this version of kasita (the smaller version)
Nice, should do well renting! I hope it will be affordable to the folks in the cities where they plan to make them available.
Of course it won't be affordable.

Wow !! Amazing design.
Wow ! That’s so Johnsonian, Great job.
Omg. entitled vibes from this man but his brilliance is so attractive. Do you have a book sir? I would love to hear about dumpster life.
Great design!
I like the layout

Right on! Christian has become a super Element nerd now. He's gotten lots of great tips and ideas from an Element owners Facebook group. :)

could this be more hipster?
It's nice... but you're right. Some of the things are there for the sake of hipster instead of practicality.
Have they changed again? Last I'd read, they'd given up on producing them as ADUs & were only doing as boutique hotels. Might want to check.

Tiny House Expedition The last time I checked the website and Facebook page there was no response at all. I figured the project had gone belly up.
I kinda hope this doesn't catch on.

To sterile for me, but interesting and more power to you!

Boxabl's Casita vs Kasita lol

Martha Stewart how to cook a Turkey
Argh! If I hear the word Casita one more time!
I believe its Kasita with a "K" :P
Something about this guy's voice tells me it wasn't that much fun to live in a dirty dumpster. Which is probably illegal anyway
NOT ACTUAL!!! Kasita is down and there was available already a proper product, which looks even much better designed that the shown one!
"sleek"?... Sorry but that's just an ugly box to me.
This is a dumb design, nobody is buying that.
