OMG, this is so frustrating. I'm going through the exact same issue. Did you end up returning it? Mine worked fine for like 2 weeks and then started to slow down and finally none of the apps work. Now I'm trying to update them after a restore but some keep stuck at 39% and some don't even get to download 😭

Yes I returned it, the malfunction is coming from the power box.
Prees long on power button antil you see samsung logo and try again
