Interesting, but not strictly true. I don't see Clapton just sticking to blues in Cream and Blind Faith- far from it! Seems biased in favour of Page. And Clapton and Harrison remained good friends.
Ego's aside when you're measuring art everybody has different taste every one of these great guitar players brought something different to the table. Clapton does sound like an a****** though although he is my favorite guitar player. Everything Clapton played came from black musicians.
Clapton has reinvented himself over and over in his career, Page had Led Zeppelin. I love both and don’t understand this divisive rhetoric

Clapton was just another blues guitar player and kind of mediocre at that when he stopped playing Gibsons
